We visited BB's Cafe on 5/4/2021 during lunch. We had the 5lbs for $35 Crawfish special with butter, dipping sauce, potatoes, garlic sausage, and Arnold Palmers to drink. The crawfish were juicy, large, cooked to perfection, and well seasoned. The potatoes were soft and cooked well. The Arnold Palmers made with sweet tea were delicious. It was so good, that we returned the next day, 5/5/21 to have the 5lb for $25 crawfish special. Again, the crawfsh was super delicious and even bigger the next day. We came during lunch both times and there wasn't a long wait. Service was great. For servers, we had Jared one day and Kelley the next day. I would highly recommend if you are looking for some tasty crawfish. read more

I've lived in that Katy area for a few months now & it is definitely worth it! I ordered snow crab, crawfish, shrimp, red potatoes, corn, & chicken sausage off the Boil menu. I did order during this social distancing pandemic and that was nerve-wracking in its own, but I believe that the online ordering system and outside pick-up system is now working great! My server: AM B was very professional and completely covered up per the CDC recommendations. Your food is not sitting outside in the open - They will go grab it and hand it to you once you check in at the "pull up" station. Checked in and waited 45 minutes. Because we are a party of two we got least priority. People with 4 or more only had to wait 5-10 minutes. Then the host checked people In and let people cut ahead of the line and had us just waiting when ask they just say we have to prioritize our guest. The only reason why I give this restaurant a one star was because of the Management Red Head Alivia. The appetizer was great however, it took forever and then we never received our entrée. There was a manager by the name of Alicia a young Red hair lady who came by to see how our meal was and when I proceeded to tell her I did not receive the meal she told me well least you did get something and would not let me continue to speak and tell her what the issue was. I requested to see this Manager personally, and she still refuse to acknowledge that she was in the wrong. I then requested to see the the main manager of the store whose name was Eric I'd informed him know that the food that we did receive our appetizer was great but we never received our entrée. He apologized and offered to let us have a to go meal but however we live four hours away from this location and a to go would not work, Eric did apologize for the other manager Alivia, and said that he would take care of the situation and talk with her, however, the manager Alivia needed to know that was poor customer service, I cannot believe the rudeness of this Manager Alivia. read more

The next best thing to eating Cajun food in Lafayette or NOLA! The atmosphere is casual, the music lively, and the food delicious. The gumbo is among the best I've tasted - thick and savory with the rice on the side. I also had the shrimp basket with hush puppies, but substituted green beans for the fried potatoes. OMG - the best green beans ever! They were cooked just right, roasted maybe, with crispy Parmesan crumbs on top and what I think were sun dried tomato slivers tossed in. I'm not a huge green bean fan, but these were delicious There was a piece of fried bread in the basket that was well worth the carbs. The portions were generous, so wear your stretchy pants. Going to BB's cafe is like eating in NOLA without the 5 - 6 hour drive. Great service and great food. Stopped in for an early dinner on a Saturday, the place was already packed. We didn't want to wait for a table so we sat at the bar. Started off with an order of Maw Maw's Grillades and grits. They were fantastic! Followed by an order of grilled oysters and raw oysters. Both were very good, but the raw one were my favorite. For my entree I split the roast beef debris poboy. They have bread shipped in from New Orleans. Leidenheimer of course, the best you can get. The roast beef was tender and flavorful, the only thing it could have used was more gravy. It's not the real deal, if you don't leave with some gravy on your shirt. lol. The newest location for this little cajun cafe that could is the most suburban of the group. Not that it's a bad thing. But it just doesn't feel as quaint as the other ones we have visited. Bigger seating area, odd added as an afterthought patio space and big ol' shopping center parking lot. If it's crawfish season, go here. Just go. Spend this month's rent and get some. At 7.99 a pound it's crazy stupid expensive. But they are cooked perfect. PERFECT. Spicy, buttery goodness. The spice will catch up to you especially if you are a head sucker. Popped right out without a struggle. I don't recall having a better crawfish at a restaurant even when I lived in Louisiana. The crawfish were what my buddy and I went for and we shared 5 pounds. I think we coulda had 5 more. Then we had some oysters to cool off our mouths. Super big, well cleaned, plump salty goodness. Service was spot on. Always checked on us and they were busy too, brought stuff out as soon as we asked and very friendly. It's a bit more of a drive for us than the other locations. But I like this one best so far. Came here on a Tuesday with a buddy of mine & we were in the area. This place is supposed to be Cajun-Tex fusion, so we thought we try it out. Food: I had there Tuesday Special : Pecan crusted chicken with pepper cream sauce, Chalmette macaroni, with roasted veggies (brusselsprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, and peppers). The chicken meat was moist & cooked well! The pecans gave it a nice crunch and complimented the pepper cream sauce well! The sauce made the dish rich and hearty with not too much heat The Mac-N-Cheese had shredded roast beef on top and the noodles weren't dry! The roasted veggies paired very well with this thick, cajun-style dish! I never had roasted veggies before, but these were scrumptious! It also had a nice crunch to it! I also had some fried frog legs as appetizers and it kind of tasted like chicken! Overall: I was very impressed with the food they had here! I loved it. But I was real happy with the Shrimp and Grits! The grits had great flavor and not just bland. The small has 3 large shrimp and the Large has 6 large shrimp. Soo good! Place: Parking was easy. There is a patio and indoor seating. The inside is very spacious. A little dark but clean. Service: The service was very good. Felix, a young kid and new, was our server. I loved Katie the bartender! She was AWESOME! She makes it her business to make the customers feel right at home! I met her the first time when my granddaughter had her graduation party at the restaurant and Katie fixed my drinks. She has that CAN DO attitude that says a lot about her! When I returned with my husband, she was the same sweet person who waited on us from before. It's important to have people like Katie on staff because she has such a warm and welcoming presence that people appreciate the time she gives to wait on them. Only reason this place isn't getting a 5 is because of service. The service was very subpar and the waiter looked like he was pissed to be here. Don't bother ordering BB's curbside takeout during the city stay at home orders. We ordered curbside pickup this evening and have never been so disappointed. Not only did we wait in the parking lot for over 35 minutes past our time slot... they were out of the hurricane bundle that was heavily advertised, and that we had already paid $30 for (ok, I realize I sounded like an alcoholic there) which I could have gotten over if we hadn't come home to open our 5 lbs of crawfish, only to realize that atleast 1 of those pounds was all crawfish heads and decaying crawfish that were obviously dead long before they were cooked. My sons chicken tenders were served with tartar sauce which I'm sure they mistook for ranch when they were packaging the meals. I hate to be that person who complains, but don't take advantage a situation like curbside to compromise your service, and pass off all of the rotten crawfish to those of us who wouldn't realize it until getting home. If I were reviewing this specific visit only, it would have been 1 star, but being that we are pretty regular customers who are usually pretty pleased, I decided to give them a little credit. Finally tried it out tonight with my hubby!!! It was super crowded when we got there but it was only a 25-30 minute wait. After sitting at the bar with a terribly obnoxious & drunk group of girls, our dinner experience began. Our server was Heather (my darling hamburger, she understands) and she rocked! I picked up 10lbs of crawfish last night on their 5 for $35 Tuesday promotion. I did 5lbs Tex-Orleans way and 5lbs Louisiana way. Online order and curbside pick up went smoothly BUT 5lbs was UNDERCOOKED and still RAW! I think it was the 5lbs of Tex-Orleans way. We started eating and realized it was so wet, slimy, and mushy! At first we just thought it was due to the different flavors/sauce but once I compared 2 peeled tails (one from each pan), I could see the slimy one wasn't fully cooked because the color was more translucent. UGH! Luckily only my husband and I had really eaten the slimy ones because we told the kids to eat from the other pan after the first couple bites. I ended up re-cooking the batch of raw crawfish but the damage was already done and both my husband and I had a bad case of diarrhea last night. Never ordering from here again! Not worth the food poisoning risk. Honestly cooking crawfish isn't hard and doesn't take that long to cook! We do at least 3 crawfish boils every year but I just picked it up last night since my son was craving it for dinner. The flavor wasn't that great either - it needed more salt. The only positive was the size of crawfish were decent - medium/large with some small ones thrown in. read more

For several years, BBs has served great crawfish; however, our dining experience today will be the last! While BBsis not serving their "select" crawfish now, they are selecting which patrons receive the larger crawfish. When asked about the difference, the waiter said "it's the luck of the draw" as to the size crawfish you receive, although everyone is charged the same price. Thursday, November 4, 2021, update to previous post. I had contact with Alex, manager, who personally called me and took the time fully listen to me issue. She agreed and promised to speak with staff. Additionally, she provided an incentive to try the restaurant again, which we did. Olivia, our server was the best! She was attentive and clarified the few questions we had with the menu. Our appetizer was delivered quickly and hot. Our dinners were very tastee and with plenty of food.
