Cool place to hang out and it offers both indoor and outdoor setting. The ambient is with a sports bar attach to it and its clean with plenty of seating even got a private seating area. The service is always friendly and you pretty much pick and choose where you want to sit. I ordered the chip with queso which it was delicious. The queso was really amazing. I can't stop eating it. Then come the the roasted beef sandwich, it come in a 10 inches bun and they pack it with beef lettuce and tomatoes. It was fill with amazing spices and sauces. And when I take a bite of it, it is messy. I am not a big fan of Cajun food, but this is amazing. The shoe string potatoes fries was really good also. I just left this establishment. It was one of the worst experiences ever. I stood at the bar for quite some time before a gentleman the bar told the bar tender I needed a drink. I simply took it that they were busy. We were sat in the banquet area I believe. We ordered crawfish and appetizers. Upon meeting our waitress disclosed that she's given all the "black tables" which is why she initially was displeased to serve us. I was shocked she said that bc she was black... she went further to say a lot of people ask her about it and I was extremely skeptical bc who asks that type of question and who would work for a place that did that? But bc a white gentleman at the bar had to tell the bar tender to serve me I thought maybe she's right. So now we feel as if this establishment has color lines. Not wanting to make my children uncomfortable we continued. We asked for bibs and wipes several times that we never received. I ordered a frozen margarita and after quite sometime I was told the machine was out. No problem I ordered one on the rocks. While paying she insisted we skip over the satisfaction survey. Realizing I would not be able to finish my drink I asked for it to go. She said they didn't do Togo so I proceeded to place my drink in a Togo cup only to be met by the general manager named Eric I believe. He said I could not take the drink so I said cool I will finish it...as he stood and watched. Before I finished he was called to another incident. Once I was done I asked for the manager to return so I could address my concerns. The waitress that had been our server got a different manager than the previous one. I could tell he may have been a lower level manager and I said I would wait for the one that she called initially. After showing his displeasure he left only to go to the hostess stand and begin to discuss his displeasure to the waitstaff because several of them that were standing there turned and glared at me. No problem. I stood and waited for the original manager and addressed all of my concerns. I was made to feel uncomfortable by the bar tender, the waitress, and two managers. I'm not sure how business is normally conducted but I would hope the staff is better trained better in the future. We were made to feel as if color was an issue by the bar tender and our waitress and then further isolated and talked about by two managers. I do not want anything from this establishment but to do better by others in the future. I've never had this happen before and I hope no one else has to go through this. read more

Amazing! Went here for lunch and I'll definitely be back. To start with I had Maw Maw's Bayou Tea which was a refreshing, Vodka filled Arnold Palmer. I enjoyed it so much, I had a second one and would've had a third I I wasn't so full. For an appetizer I had the Tex-Cajun fries which happens to be one of their best sellers. Picture crispy shoestring fries topped with queso and roast beef; I swear I ate half the dish on my own. The Rockdale Redfish was my entree. Blackened Redfish and Jumbo shrimp topped with an andouille cream sauce served on a bed of rice (I chose dirty rice) and a side of veggies (I chose collard greens). The whole dish was heaven! I took half home and saved the little space I had left in my stomach for their Bread Pudding dessert. This dessert could feed 4-6. It's huge and delicious! Today BB's disappointed. My husband is sick so we decided to get curbside and we wanted shrimp gumbo with crab and we wanted to split a plate of fried catfish. We ordered two bowls of gumbo but we didn't get the crab although we paid extra for it and the catfish came without the garlic bread and without the cole slaw. Hello my fellow Yelpers. Okay so this was our second stop at BB's in Katy. The first time we went, everything appeared to be fine with some minor criticisms but overall was good. With saying that, today's visit was horrendous. Now, anyone who follows me or those who are kind enough to read my reviews, you know that I write fair and accurate reviews. As a former waiter, restaurant cook, bartender and current foodie, I clearly understand the struggles of the service industry and often when most are being critical, I tend to be sympathetic due to I have been in the trenches, but come on BB's, you got to be kidding me, what we experienced today is completely not defendable and down right horrible! As always, let me start with the good things........well, the Ice Tea that we both ordered was good and our waitress Elissa seemed to have a nice personality .....and that completes the good things. Now to the bad things. Might want to have a seat because I am going long on this review. I guess I will start with the food, I could not wait to try their brunch menu, which I read on the menu during our last visit. So much for that dumb idea! I ordered Chicken, Waffles and Sandia which was supposed to consist of a Classic Belgium Waffle, Chicken Tenders, Spicy Grilled Watermelon, Breakfast Gravy, Bourbon Maple Syrup and Hot Sauce, and I ordered two eggs sunny side up! What I actually got was dried, cold, over cooked fried chicken pieces, no grilled watermelon, a breakfast gravy that was basically a bad interpretation of a honey mustard dressing and a unseasoned hollandaise sauce and the syrup tasted like someone took syrup, dumped a half a bottle of bourbon in it, whisked it in a bowl and threw it in a cup. Now I like bourbon.......a lot........but........I'd rather not take a shot of bourbon with every bite of my waffle. And I told Elissa my thoughts about it and her response was a classic response......I will get to that later. On top of that, my egg whites were not cooked through all the way and the eggs were stone cold. Now I was not expecting The Breakfast Club Chicken and Waffles, as they are considered the best in Houston but damn BB's, even the worst cooks in America could have made a better effort than that. I started to put on my Gordon Ramsey "Kitchen Nightmares" hat but I decided to be nice today. And why in the world would you serve from what I can tell was some type of cream sauce with a non reduced bourbon syrup that you could not eat together! It tasted like something my buddies use to concoct and dare me to drink after a long night of getting wasted! My wife ordered Boudin Flautas which consisted of boudin and pepperjack cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla and topped with sauteed crab meat in a Verde Cream Sauce. Served with red beans and rice. What she actually got was a Luke warm to cold serving of mushiness and beans that had no flavor whatsoever and I'd be willing to bet that those red beans came straight out of can on to the plate. Remember, I use to be a waiter so I know what happened, first off the food died in the pass which is why when it came to the table, the beans looked liked something you would see in a "live" display of food they were offering and all the crispness was gone from the Flautas. The bad part is, it probably would have been not bad (well expect for the beans) if the food arrived at least kind of warm. Now let me get to the service, we sat ourselves as the sign stated when we walked in and the table we sat at was not cleaned (not their fault as we did not notice until after we sat down) and Elissa was kind enough to clean the table for us but, when you have people sitting at a dirty table you ask the people at the table could they please stand so you could clean it, instead of wiping the table and getting what was left on the table on them. As I mentioned earlier, I spoke to Elissa about the horrible bourbon syrup and how the alcohol need to be reduced, her response was "well that is how most people like it"! Who???? You mean people who have no idea what an alcohol infused item should taste like? The correct response should have been "I apologize and would you like for me to take this back or possibly get you something else"! We tried to eat the food but end up giving most of it to the trash can. Needless to say, BB's in Katy will never see us again and anyone who ask us about BB's in Katy, our advice will probably be save your money and head to a fast food place for better food. In my last review, I wrote that I could not understand why their was so many negative reviews.....well....... now I get it. I want to give zero stars but Yelp does not have that option. Went Friday around 5 pm, The atmosphere was fun and casual. Liked the Louisiana decor and the zydeco music. Tried the HRW dinner menu, the empanadas were ok- not very flavorful but crispy (I did eat them all) The red fish was good, dirty rice was not the usual dirty rice but was pretty good and the collard greens were ok Everything came hot- always appreciated My daughter had the shrimp poboy which she enjoyed but the shoestring fries were sooo addictive. Usually really love BB's, but this visit was drastically different then the last time we were there. We ordered some drinks to start, a Bloody Mary anstarted out with Crawfish and Snow crab legs as an appetizer. Bloody Mary came out with very little ice, zero garnish. No olives...what? If they were missing ingredients due to shortages...they didn't mention it or even apologize. The drink itself was ok. They then brought out the appetizer of crawfish and snow crab leg clusters. The crawfish were sooo soggy and not hot at all. They were not very spicy either. They basically just threw the snow crab legs in the plate with the crawfish...which would have been fine except they served nothing else with it. I asked for "crackers" to eat said snow crab legs. They replied "we don't have any". SERIOUSLY??? Butter? That was an up charge. I understand up charges, but someone pays almost $40 for ONE snow crab cluster and you can't include one tiny cup of clarified butter? We actually had to use a fork and knife to try to crack them open on our own. It was just a terrible experience. The waitress never came to refill drinks or ask if we wanted another drink from the or a beer. We probably would have ordered more to try to save the meal. The fried shrimp that I got were VERY good. They were the best thing on the menu. They should just serve that! The shrimp was outstanding. Don't even serve snow crab legs if you don't know how to serve them properly to guests would be my recommendation. We may give them one more chance and will definitely order the delicious fried shrimp. They need some quality control in the kitchen and some wait staff training. read more

I love BB's, that's all I have to say! We've been to the Eldridge location so we decided to stop at this one since it was closer to our house. We came at a good time, during happy hour and literally right before the dinner rush. Our waitress was Heather, and she was so awesome and made the experience even better. We ordered the Texas twister for drinks, 3lbs of crawfish with garlic sausage and potatoes, loaded pollo bullets, gumbo, red beans and rice and a side basket of fries! We went during happy our so the drinks and appetizers were half off! All of the food came quick and it was SO DAMN GOOD! Whatever sauce they make for the crawfish is HEAVENLY! We were seated at 600 pm. Placed our full order with our drinks because there was a 25 minute wait so we knew what we wanted. 4 adults 3 kids one baby. Ordered appetizer (chips and queso) 3 kids meal, fried catfish, 4 lbs crawfish, Tuesday special and gumbo Poboy combo. Took our waitress Elizabeth T 10 minutes to figure out her hand held ordering machine. She also did not know her menu and told us Tuesday special is not available (which it is). Ordered sauce on side and lemon in water. Asked if she could expedite kids food as they are kids and hungry. Drinks were dropped and made quick (kuddos to bar). 45 minutes later I had to find manager because we hadn't seen our waitress or gotten appetizer or kids food. Spoke to blonde hair female manager who said kitchen was backed up. She said our food was coming out soon. Asked her to cancel my appetizer. Sauce was on chicken and no lemons in water. Never was given an apology. Finished food. Asked for check. 20 minute wait. Had to get up from my table three times to go orders items or find manager. It was very disappointing to say the least. Not sure what happened. I celebrated my birthday there three weeks ago on Sunday at 300 pm. I was sat outside party of 10 and it was great. Won't be bringing my family back here this crawfish season. It's the perfect place to go if you're craving some Cajun food! We had 5 pound of crawfish with the Tex-Orleans sauce and it was amazing. I am pretty sure I could've eaten the whole thing myself but I had to share with 3 others. I went with 2 people from Louisiana and they both gave this restaurant two thumbs up for tasting authentic. This restaurant is also very accommodating for special diets. A member of our group cannot have gluten and our waitress (Haley, she's so attentive) triple checked on everything ordered to ensure no gluten was in the meal. This location is inconsistent with the freshness of their food. Today me and my friend decided to stop in a Saturday. I ordered the French quarter platter - I believe that's what it's called (crawfish etouffee, sausage and red beans and rice) she ordered another platter (crawfish etouffee and fried crawfish) The food came out and looked very dry and "stuck" together like it had been cooked the day before. Me and my friend were very hungry so I decided to go ahead and try to enjoy a meal that didnt look too good. On my meal the red beans and rice tasted bland, burnt and chewy. The rice in my etouffee was clumpy and stuck together and was mushy and gooey with absolutely no flavor. My friend's meal-her etouffee was mushy and flavorless as well. Proceeded to tell our waitress the food was not good. Miss Ariel the waitress response was "ok well can I bring you the ticket to check out". She didnt try to even reconcile, or even think to say hey let me check with the kitchen or tell a manager for future reference. Had family come into town and wanted to see that they had some local cuisine. This is where I went wrong taking them to BB's. As we walked in not one person greeted us during the first 5-10 mins. Thereafter I had to ask an employee if someone had our section. After finding that out 5 mins later, I had to ask the server for drinks for our party of 7. The food was pretty bland for a Louisiana/Cajun flair. I had the pecan crusted chicken which seem to be a million calories with terrible tasting gravy. We also ordered the chicken and waffles ( not bad until we got to the burned waffle / see attach pic) . Most of our party complain about their meals after leaving because no one wanted to spoil the experience. Wasn't impressed. My husband and two of my kids went on a Saturday night. They were busy but we were seated right away, the waitress was fine but the food was disappointing. The reason we tried it out was because of the reviews here on Yelp, this is the first time Yelp has let us down. We ordered hush puppies ($6.95 for 7 with fries), they were spongy and had no flavor. One child got the kids meal of fried shrimp, it was very bland and the fries were normal fries, nothing to write home about. Another kid got the hot and spicy boiled shrimp and the shrimp itself was not seasoned at all or deveined. When served it was covered in some sort of funky sauce and a pound of spice. Would have sent it back but the waitress didn't come back to the table for about fifteen minutes. My husband got half a fried shrimp poboy (he said "meh, no flavor" and a cup of gumbo "it's fine" he said. I got the roast beef poboy. It was flavorless and the gravy was from a can. Crawfish was $8.95 a pound! Not sure who is paying those prices but you can get much better about two miles away at the crawfish shack on the side of the road for much cheaper. My fiance had been begging me to come here and eat, and finally after two years i gave in. Boy am i glad i did. We came during happy hour yesterday and enjoyed some Cajun Taquitos. These were really really good and came with Salsa Verde and Sour Cream. They kind of had a Southwestern Eggroll kinda taste to them. They were awesome! Since we arrived during Happy hour, i figured i would try the Red Headed Wompus Cat drink. 4.50 drinks and i had two of them. They were very very good!
