Mike helped me out over the phone and told me I'd get 20% off for the MSF course completion and when I went in, he helped set up my Revzilla account to link up with Cyclegear. Mike was great, made me aware of the giftcard I'd received, verified my EMT license, had friendly chatter about cars and bikes. Johnny came over and talked to me about the vest, and another guy (didn't catch his name) came to educate me on the airbag vest and told me he has one too. We came by to get some wheels done on my bike they said they don't do electric and they'll at least try ... I brought the other half to be fitted for a helmet, they have thick hair and we were afraid it would be an issue. An associate fitted them with a half shell, which is what we wanted. Came here to buy my very first helmet as I just got a new bike and needed gear. I came in and looked around and a guy helped me out but I didn't catch his name. He was very helpful and patient with me. He answered all my questions and even showed me different variety of helmets at different price ranges. He was attentive but wasn't overbearing. For any one who plans on taking your tire ONLY TAKE THE RIM because if you bring your bike they are just gonna look at you like your the idiot for bringing it and again I EVEN CALLED JUST TO MAKE SURE and they said "are you sure I didn't tell you?" Just buy your accessories and GO do not go for any maintenance i dont even recommend the tire maintenance because they said it can take up to 48hrs!!! At this point Cycle Gear has the best customer service in Las Vegas! I bought a helmet; wayyyy too big. Got anxiety about having to exchange it for a better fit. After 3 days, I finally broke down and called the store; Chris answered the phone. Told him my issue, he said bring it in and let's make the exchange happen; not a direct quote but you get it. I went in, he was patient, he educated me, confirmed what I saw on the YouTube channels. He made me keep the new helmet on to ensure the fit and educated me on why the fit was the best; cheek pads, wind, etc. Yes, I'm a new rider. Learned so much from dude; truly grateful. I was surprised walking in because of how much gear they actually had on hand. The staff was friendly and helpful. Horrible experience.. jumping from one customer to another while assisting someone is not a good idea . Also one of the sales guys is not ready to be selling motorcycle gear specially if someone needs assistance and I ants to know more about a brand . They push the brands they want to sell on you without taking in consideration what you are looking for . This guy tried to prove to me that sedici brand (jacket) is better than alpinestars and helmets as well :) . That was a poor conversation , lack of information , and some lying on top of that . Called to simply ask about the availability of a part. The representative told me it wasn't available in the store, but that he could order it for me. I politely said no thanks and he gave me an extremely condescending and unnecessary response saying "well when you actually do your research and see you can't get it any where in Las Vegas, I'll be waiting for your call and can order it for you." I needed the part today because the one I originally ordered was delayed, so I had done my "research," but the circumstances had changed and I was calling on the off-chance they had something in stock. Ordering it wouldn't have met my needs and if the person talking to me actually cared to listen to what I said instead of needing to feeling superior, then that would have been obvious. Nice dude. I needed protective eyewear for downhill mountain biking and Cycle Gear was recommended. Being that it's obviously a motorcycle retailer I did feel a little uncomfortable when I first entered. I was greeted right away and led directly to what I was looking for. I had a few questions about which pair of eyewear I should get, and I felt like the associate was very friendly and didn't try and oversell me something I didn't need. In the end I walked out with the perfect pair of 100 Percent Goggles and my wallet barely took a hit. read more

Cycle Gear is a huge Biker's Heaven! I've never seen a larger selection of women's riding gear before and I was overwhelmed with their selection of helmets. They had everything for every type of rider-street bikes, dirt bikes and cruisers. A lot of their products were the Bilt brand but they have others as well. Riding isn't a cheap hobby and a lot of their items were priced about the same as other stores but they did have a lot of things on sale. Their service was great from the get-go. We were greeted immediately as we walked in and the employees checked on us every so often to see if we were finding everything alright. Megan (I think that was her name) helped me with jacket sizing and also a back protector. She also gave her recommendations on the products people like and some of the complaints that people have had on certain items. Customer service at Cycle Gear was outstanding and I am looking forward to my next trip back to Las Vegas so I can shop here again. Everyone there was friendly, informative and not pushy at all. P.S. If you stop by, you will probably catch a lot of eye candy in the parking lot. I got to see a bunch of new bikes pull in and out of the lot. P.P.S. I've owned more than 50 motorcycles in my life, currently have 10, and that's after my kid crashed his 2015 HD Street Bob on 02/13/2018 and almost lost his leg, we've been shopping at this store for the last 4 years, everything from oil and filters, to tires, gear and intercoms. I've seen Amazon slowly and steadily wiping lots of local stores out of the face of the earth, so ii try to do my part by mostly buying local, even when sometimes it means overpaying, but at least you're helping your community and getting the stuff right away instead of waiting 2 days for Prime to arrive, right? I'd say I purchased close to 5k on this store alone, but since they let go Derek, the store went to hell. I purchased a battery for an old 1990 Kawi Vulcan VN750 I recently acquired, and the guys gave me a battery which wasn't pre-activated without telling me that. So I drive back home and install the battery, and the bike doesn't start, I I realize the battery has 0 v and realize I need the electrolyte to activate her, drive back to the store tell the Scott who is who sold the battery to me 1 hr before, and he tells me that the customers tend to steal the electrolyte from the batteries, and that's why they didn't gave it to me, cause he didn't know it needed one, so apparently you need 0 knowledge on motorcycles to work there these days, go figure.... Anyway I drive back home, and discover that the electrolyte pack they gave ve is about 1/8th of what it should have been, I figured out no problem, let's just fill it with distilled water and let's plug her to my charger over night, sad cause I was eager to take her for a spin, but it will have to wait... ARGHHHH. Next morning i gear up top take her for a spin and guess what, the battery has 12.3 v, so back to cycle gear, when I arrive I find Scott who immediately recognizes me and tells me he will look for a replacement battery after hearing what happened, and while he goes to the back of the store a guy called Louis comes close to me with a battery tester and asks me why am I saying that the battery doesn't work when they haven't tested it, I tell him the story about the little acid and water having to be added, yada, had, yada.... And he tells me that the battery is in fact a working battery but isn't charger and that they will charge it over night and I should come back tomorrow, of course in the worst condescending tone I've heard while this story has been developing, so I start to get frustrated and tell him that I purchased the battery from the store and it is supposed to be a brand new battery and I shouldn't have to wait for the battery to be charged by them, since it's already been plugged to a charger for 16+ hours, and he basically told me that my options are: they can UPS a battery from their store on the other side of town in 2 days I can drive 1hr to the other store and get it myself or pay 20 USD for an upgraded battery since their store is out of that specific model of batteries I ended up paying about 20 bucks for the battery cause I'm already pissed and want to know nothing more about their store and brand, and take off. I will be going back to the store whenever my kid's doctor says he's ready to ride again, and he will be trying out all the helmets and jackets and gloves, and of course there's no chance in hell we're going to buy anything from them again, but we will make sure the exact brand and model of stuff we want to get so we can order it on Amazon which is a far more reliable source, and I'm sure that will be an extra nail in the coffin for the probably soon to be dying store, cause this kind of crappy customer service is what has been driving people towards internet shopping. Sad but that's the state of the current stores all over the country. read more

Good selection of gear. Bought my shoei neotec 2 helmet from these guys along with a pair of gloves & riding jacket. The staff is helpful, kinda follows you around quite a bit which can be annoying but everyone is friendly. My only complaints being - they sized my bf's helmet incorrectly and it's now causing him pain when he rides. I get that helmets are supposed to fit snugly for protection but the associate said that would wear off after riding for a month or two... it didn't and now my bf is stuck with a $800 helmet that hurts. Mine is fortunately sized correctly, but a different associate didn't give me the manual/stickers associated with the helmet. They also weren't going to install the pin lock unless I bugged them about it - which was weird. It's supposed to come with the helmet free of charge. read more

I am not one for posting reviews. But this was by far my worst experience. I took my dirt bike tire in for a tube change Saturday 7/18, the employee inspected my wheel and made me fill out the tire paperwork. This was dropped off at 1pm, and he told me it would be done within the hour(awesome!) there was 3 employees on the floor and 1 in the back, with only 2 customers in the store and was told there was no tires in front of mine. Yet, no one took the urge to run back and do it while I waited there. So I left for a while and headed up (on the other side of town), never received a call. I had a family ride planned for Sunday morning. Thinking I gave them plenty of time to do a 15 minute tube change. I was completely incorrect. I showed up today 7/22, and asked to pick up my wheel. They came back with it completely flat like I brought it in. They stated that they would call me once it's done. No. I've been waiting 5 days. I never once received a call stating it was taking longer or anything! I was told that the tire machine broke and they don't know when it will be done. I was offered a refund(I didn't pay so I didn't accept that). I took my wheel back and will not be shopping at that store anymore. I attached a picture of them inviting tires in since they just got a new machine. read more
