Chargrilled Pork Bánh Mi

Don't you love when you're greeted with a smile and cheery hello, what would you like to order? And that's what happened when I walked up to the register. Things just got better, I ordered a Thai iced tea, the car grilled pork bánh mi and it was simply delicious. The pork had so much flavor! A must try when you visit.

I had the #1 House Special and #2 Chargrilled Pork Banh Mi. I also order the Thai Milk Tea with less ice. The Thai Milk Tea is very weak. I was very disappointed. Banh Mi is very good. I prefer #1 House Special. The ingredients are very fresh and I love the bread. Price is very reasonable.

I picked up a few banh mis and some snacks. They were all solid. The sandwiches are made to order as expected. My favorite is their banh mi pate cha lua. The place was very clean and neat. The staff was attentive and made my sandwiches pretty fast. Next time I'll try more of their Vietnamese dessert drinks!

Looking for a great banh mi and boba drink? Well you found it! The bread is perfect, not too hard or soft, has the right amount of crunch. And the fillings were just as they are supposed to be. The drinks were just as good too. Can't wait to go back and try more.

The salted Vietnamese coffee my husband got was just as pretty as it was tasty...

Love the Q3 milk tea with egg pudding and boba. Both were super fresh not hard boba (I did not try if with the third option I prefer those two), the egg pudding was soft and had a great soft taste, but you also have to get the banh mi. All of them are really good but in my house we like the pâté ones! And the house banh mi is a close second choice. The place is very clean and inviting they even had a nice little set up for Christmas for a photo op. Definitely worth a try, we make the drive now regularly from New Braunfels and you know it better be good if we are willing to take I-35!! One of our favorite places. Totally recommend.

Clean and quiet atmosphere. It was a little odd to see european landmarks being played on tv rather than vietnam at a viet store, haha. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the slideshow of beautiful pictures/landscapes. The staff was very nice and had a very quick service. Banh mi was decent but wouldn't say amazing. I was satisfied enough. Their drinks were very good - I had pomegranate lychee green tea. My friend thought the Thai tea was a little too sweet, though. Overall, it's a decent place.

Finally got around to trying this place out and regret not going sooner! It's a small(ish) place…read moreso there was a small wait on a cold day but well well worth the wait! Once we got sat we placed our orders and had food in front of us in 15ish minutes? It was great. The wings were delicious, you could throw the sauce on a tire and I'd eat it. The bowls were so refreshing and delicious and the pho was perfect. I can't wait to go back! Give this place a try, be aware the parkings tight, don't get overwhelmed or thrown off find the parking get inside and be ready for some amazing food from amazing people! Side note: everytime the older Vietnamese women came to clear our plates as we finished she told us good job for fishing our food and tbh it felt so warming and homey without thought

I am afraid that I must change my review of Pho Kim Long. I am sad to do so because this was one of…read moremy favorite local restaurants for over a decade. However, my most recent encounter has soured me completely, and I think I will never return. My favorite dish here was something that did not appear on the menu, Bo Tai Chanh salad. Even though it was not listed, they would whip it up at my request. It consists of beef cappaccio on an iceberg lettuce salad with Vietnamese vegetables and a fish sauce based dressing. Tonight they refused my order. What makes this refusal all the more frustrating is that Pho Bo Tai Chanh (the soup version) is listed on the menu and promoted as one of the favorite dishes. All that was needed, to meet my request, was to cut up half a head of lettuce and throw the non-liquid ingredients of the soup on top. Every restaurant should remember the customer is always right. Their only purpose is to meet their customers' requests to the best of their ability. I understand when a kitchen cannot meet requests with the ingredients or equipment they have. For example, I always call 24 hours ahead to order Peking Duck because the traditional methods require that amount of time to prepare the dish. Or I remember being refused a request to have my meat served rare when the restaurant had already cooked all its meat to medium rare using sous vide. I don't expect the kitchen to do the impossible. But every kitchen must be ready to meet special request whether health related like peanuts, shrimp, gluten, salt, carbohydrates, etc. or relate to tastes or ethics like vegetarian, vegans, seafood, etc. To fail one's customers is the first step to being one of the numerous restaurants to fail and become irrelevant. Any restaurant that refuses to meet reasonable requests fails the fundamental test for good service and does not deserve to be patronized. P.S. I end up going down the road to Yaya's Thai Restaurant (another local restaurant) to get something that met my tastes and preferences.

All things in my mind brought this down from a 5 star to a 4. Clean up the tables is definitely something the restaurant has control over. We sat down, and the acetone smell dissipated so either I was use to it or they turned down a shared ventilation system. The food though was the big surprise! It was excellent. We ordered the Special House Bun with beef, pork, chicken, shrimp and a crispy egg roll. The proportion of vermicelli noodles to fresh lettuce, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts and peanuts provide d that perfect bite were one ingredient dominated the other. All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.
