My wife and son both had the chicken strips, and they thought they were tasty and obviously not re-formed pieces but actual pieces of meat--something we seldom see these days. The atmosphere is homey. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. Someone had spilled some sugar on the table, and we sat down before they could get someone to clean it up. It was obvious the worker were challenged, as we saw them constantly on the move between cooking, the cashier station and the drive up window. I found the music just a little too loud, but I think I may be fixated on this aspect of dining out. First off $27.79 for 4 pc tenders and 3 pc seemed a little steep, and they didn't have biscuits. We weren't offered an extra side or discount considering the meal was missing the biscuit. The chicken my husband had was ok , we were expecting a lot more flavor based on the color it came out, but the breast was juicy . My tenders were sad, no real flavor. Way too over priced for a fast food joint. I paid it with no problem because the way they hyped it up made it seem worth it. Bathrooms super clean as well. We had chicken, tenders, and a chicken sandwich. All rated delicious. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The chicken breasts were some of the juiciest I have had for fried chicken. And large. Same with the legs and thighs. My 10 year old said the tenders were some of the best he has had. And this is a kid who eats tenders at every restaurant. My older son also enjoyed the chicken sandwich. Waffle fries fried perfect. And the biscuit is heaven. Just wish they were bigger. The only issue was the sweet tea. It's flat out terrible. All three of us switched to something else. The lemonade was good. Fruit punch also fine. I've waited for quite some time for this place to open after driving past it regularly. I really wanted to like this place and give it a 5 star review but unfortunately it didn't meet the mark for me. We both ordered the 6 pc strips combos w half fries/half onion rings and my 6 strips were a lot smaller than my companion's. Since they were small, they had a lot of batter on them as opposed to meat. They were ok, but not flavorful or juicy. The fries have a sweet seasoning to them, and they are waffle fries, not regular fries. Didn't care for the sweetness & they retained a lot of oil, so didn't even finish them. Maybe their fried chicken pieces are better, but I wasn't really impressed w the strips, and the price and it was almost $30 for the two orders. My friend was nice enough to treat me to Honey's Chicken at his place. It was my first time trying their food. I was very disappointed. The chicken was very dark and not that flavorful. The chicken was very salty. Very salty! The sides were nothing to yell about. They were just okay. We had the mashed potatoes with gravy,mac and cheese and coleslaw. Note that they have only "soft opened" at this point; there hasn't been an official grand opening, but my daughter and I swung by to check it out. Casual but not to the point of being divey, and I can see it getting a lot busier and word of mouth spreads because the chicken was fantastic! Think Cane's but better. The chicken was tender, juicy, and breaded just right. The waffle fries were pleasant. Could have used a little more seasoning, but that's just my taste. Not knocking the fries! They had a nice selection of dipping sauces, and self-serve ketchup, Hot Honey, and comeback sauce. Finally a chicken place that isn't stingy with their comeback sauce! The honey butter biscuits were bite sized little treats. Green beans could have used a little something extra as they were a little bland, but I made do with the on-hand salt and pepper. They allow you to choose your side for the combo. It took about 5 minutes to bring my order and that's good time. They provide variety of sauces but I went with no sauce just to see how good it tasted without it. The chicken is good and the breast was tender and if it wasn't I'd be an unhappy person. I tried this place for the first time the other day. The chicken had a good flavor but for me too much brandon the sides were pretty good. I ordered the macaroni and cheese in the mashed potatoes. But paying $32 for 8 pieces of chicken and 2 small sides is really expensive in this current climate if I'm gonna spend that kind of money on fried chicken I might as well go to the rim and eat at sutherlands. First off when I walked in, there was no one there to greet me and I was standing at the counter for about 5 minutes before anyone came and the girl working there didn't even speak, even after I kindly said "hello", there was still no response. I had to ask them to give me fresh chicken because the chicken they gave me had clearly been sitting out for hours. Once they brought me the fresh chicken, I couldn't even take a bite because it was extremely salty! Like unbearably salty, there's no way anyone could eat that and enjoy it due to the amount of salt. I even took the skin off and it was still salty. I honestly don't understand the hype and don't ever plan on coming back here again. I was better off going to Gus's. The only good thing I had were the biscuits which were extremely tiny so I'm glad I ordered 2. Other than that, please skip this place. You will be disappointed.
