I came here during my lunch break because I was craving a nice sweet pastry and didn't know where else to look. This is definitely a small mom and pop shop so don't come in expecting Krispy Kreme type of donuts. However, I wasn't disappointed during my short experience here. The donuts sold here are your typical chocolate, glazed, sugar and most of the basic variations of donut you can think of. Out of sheer hunger, I ordered a regular glazed donut for 85 cents, bit into it and was just overcome with bliss. The donut was soft with a light coat of glazed sugar and just tasted amazing. At 3:00 in the afternoon the cravings for donuts called and BC answered! Despite the later hour, donuts were fresh, pretty and deliciously satisfying. The creme brûlée donut is a must! BC was so sweet they also threw in a couple crullers for us to try. The cruller donuts are Ah-Maz-Ing melt in your mouth yumminess. Service couldn't be more outstanding. Good donuts, BUT......In this day and age when wearing a mask is a big deal, how does having 2 employees in a very small space wearing a mask and the 3rd employee, the one sticking his head in the donut case to get donuts, not wearing a mask make sense? This is the best mom n' pop donut shop in LA county. Can't believe they've been here over 30 years!!! I've been coming here for the past 10 years and way more frequently now that I work in the area. It's also ridiculously under priced. I've actually told them to increase their prices because I'm afraid they'll go out of business and I'll lose my favorite donut shop! I go to a lot of donut shops and last weekend paid $8 for two "specialty" donuts from a fancy shop that I ended up tossing after a few bites. I was actually so angry I had to trash them after paying so much, I bought BC donuts the next day to comfort myself lol I've had the glazed, apple fritters, cake donuts, donut hmaple bar, etc. and was always super satisfied. The dad who owns the shop also has some some interesting creations. I don't see him as often anymore but it's good to see the next generation taking over and updating the decor. This is such a wholesome donut shop and a great way to shop local. I've also had their sandwiches which are also very satisfying and affordable. The spicy tuna sounds weird but was actually really tasty (I skip the seaweed). The creme brûlée donut is pricier at $2.50 (most are under $2) but still a good deal. Reminds me of Donut Society in Monrovia that had closed down. Lines were ling on Sat around 930 am. Friendly staff. Good variety of donuts but at a price. About $2.50 each. Got a hankering for donuts and wanted to surprise the fam at home. Placed an order for takeout, and drove straight there. Yelp said it would take 20 mins or so, and I was about 7 minutes away. If you are having a party and something different than a cake or cupcakes, this place is it! For my 4year old's birthday party, we custom ordered the donuts. She was soooo happy to see the birthday message and her name spelled out in her favorite colors (pink and purple) and the unicorn face donuts! It really made her day even though we are in quarantine and could only do the virtual party (maybe that was a good thing because now she gets to eat all her donuts ). Um, I have been here quite a lot recently. I have basically sacrificed any hopes I had of a summer beach body at the altar of this donut shop, and I have not one whit of regret. Here's a more comprehensive rundown of the donuts I & family have tried (including some of the newer varieties): -French cruller: still my favorite donut at this place. I prefer the sugar one (less sweet) versus the glazed. Both are amazingly light and perfectly eggy, however. -Apple fritter: husband's favorite donut here. The only downside is that it is so large! Almost too large to finish... almost. -Glazed twist donut: you really can't go wrong with this classic. -Buttermilk donut: Basic and delicious. -Raspberry jelly filled donut: eh, not a fan of this one. I think the hubby liked it more. The jelly was a little too cloyingly sweet for me. -Thai tea glazed donut: Good, but it didn't taste much like Thai tea to me. More like condensed milk. -Green tea glazed donut: Lightly matcha flavored. I liked this one just fine! It's a nice spin on your basic glazed donut. -Cinnamon crumb cake donut: one of my favorites!! -Donut holes with sprinkles: addictive. I am tempted to pop them like candy but realize that they have more surface area that is fried and therefore are proportionally more unhealthy... but I pop them like candy anyway. And the coffee is always, always good (and seriously scalding hot, so be warned). You can sometimes see them grinding the beans in-house! read more

Golden nugget little donut store with super fresh donuts and sandwiches. This is a small operation; and I think it is limited to breakfast and lunch til 2pm. But, wait for it, the owner are super nice and the food is fresh. I like the limited menu items; because it is focused on good Breakfast Sandwiches on fresh crossants; and Lunch that are fresh. Of course the morning donuts are freshly made. 5 star for nice service, super nice owners, and freshly made donuts and sandwiches. I only took 1 star off because the owners should keep the outside more clean. I say this with love, empty the trash and power wash the outside; this area is nice; but the retail center looks a bit old. Don't let either stop you from substituting this place for Starbucks, however, its VERY CLEAN inside and Fresh. They were following "covid" protocal too. I've been coming to this spot for my donuts for 20+ years. Lately, I've noticed a change in the management with new workers, possibly the previous owner's kids. Same humbleness, same great service with a smile. I've also noticed different donuts, more exciting new take on your traditional boring ole donuts! I like the new exciting flavors. !st time ordering. The turkey sandwich had lot's of cheap, thinly sliced, salty turkey. Yuck! Sometimes you can jut taste how cheap something is. The apple fritter was ok, as was the glazed buttermilk donut. Mmm... I am definitely a donut person. I can eat donuts standing on my head, in the bathtub, in the middle of the night, or in the middle of a meal. No, actually I don't know how to stand on my head. But I do love donuts, so I followed the reviews today and went to BC. Anyway, I was quite lost as to what to get and only remotely remembered someone writing about some apple thing. So I got a glazed donut, some other random thing I pointed to, and an apple thing. I don't really know if the apple thing I got is the same thing mentioned in other reviews, since our whole exchange on the apple situation went something like - Me gesturing: Apple? Him grabbing something: Yeah, apple. Both of us nod. It could be anything, really. 75 cents for a donut. I forgot donuts were so cheap. With the prices today, I think I was ready to fork up five dollars. Anyway, I vaguely mentioned that a "friend" recommended me to this place. That must have been the reason for a nice thing that happened: after getting my order, he impulsively took a bag back and said 'Let me get you some free ones." Yay, he put 5 or 6 glazed donut holes in the bag. Then we had some random small talk: Him: You Chinese? Me: Yeah, Chinese. Well Taiwan. Him: Ah, Taiwan? You rich, Taiwan has rich people! Me: Ha ha, not really...um, the economy's bad... Anyway, enough about the economy. I gave this place an extra half star for the sake of convenience. Where else am I suppose to get my donut fix at 2:30AM just minutes from home? It actually surprises me that this is one of the only donut shops in my area open 24/7. You won't find a wide array of donuts here. At least, that was the case for us, but then again we were rolling in incredibly early in the AM. Also, don't expect anything fancy like a cronut. They have simple decent donuts at fairly reasonable prices. The older man who takes orders can come off as rude, but I think that's more due to miscommunication issues. I ordered the glazed, cinnamon, and bear claw donuts, and contrary to other reviews about bitting into stale donuts, we were pretty satisfied with ours. My bear claw was nice and warm, but it wasn't anything too special - the apple filling was more tart than sweet. Next time, I'll keep it simple with just the glazed and cinnamon ones. Note: This is a cash only donut shop. **For some really awesome donuts, I recommend Donut Man in Glendora. I also enjoy DK Donuts in Santa Monica, but it's mainly because they make ube cronuts. The good: I've been here several times, usually in the morning to grab a quick snack on the way to the gym. The food is decent and cheap. I sometimes just get a donut or if I'm a little hungrier, the ham and cheese croissant. Not much else to say... it's a tiny donut shop, so what do you really expect? THE BAD: I dropped by the other night around 3am as their sign is listed as OPEN 24 HOURS (or something to that effect). I needed to use the ATM first and didn't want to drive all the way to my bank. I walked up to the take-out window (assuming the door was locked, as it was the middle of the night) and peered inside. I couldn't see anyone so I said "hello" through the small window. An older Asian man popped up outta nowhere. It looked as though he might have been baking donuts. So far, everything normal. As it was kind of loud inside and he was several feet away, I asked in a raised voice if I could use the ATM inside, and sort of motioned/gestured towards it. He took one look at me (white dude, early 30s, dashing smile) and rudely screamed in an angry tone "NOOO!!!". Assuming there was a miscommunication, as any staff member should know better than to scream at a customer, especially at the first moments of service, I asked again and said "ATM?", pointing towards it and sort of nodding my head as to let him know I would like to please use it. He repeated his scream from across the donut shop of "NOOOOO!!!", glaring at me as if I was about to rob the place, or if perhaps I had just dishonored his family (neither true). Turning away, I felt disrespected and unwelcome. Apparently he was too busy to be bothered by a customer (yes, they make money when patrons use the ATM), and couldn't even take the time to walk over and explain that the "dining room" was perhaps closed after certain hours (I'm assuming this was the case... I didn't know because this creeton would not speak to me other than shouting "NO" from across the shop). The Rub: They have decent food for the price, but their customer service is unacceptable, and I will never frequent this establishment again. I will also make it a point to let my friends know not to go there. I'm sorry but you don't scream at a friendly customer; I don't care how "busy" you are. read more

Got a chocolate bar n coffee this morning. I just wanted to wish all my Yelp friends a Happy 4th of July Holiday! Okay this was a stop today on the holiday and i was really hoping i could have given this little Donut shop a better rating because i am always seeing a lot of people and cars pulling in but unfortunately 3-Stars is being very generous! They only got three stars because for one thing they were open on the Holiday, second they had on top of the usual variety of regular glazed and chocolate donuts to chose from they did also make sandwiches and they also carried specialty iced coffee and tea drinks that most other Donut places don't carry. As far as being really delicious and fresh for first thing in the morning...not really i would still rate Pronto Donuts #1 on Hill and Washington since they are my 5-Star Donut Shop to go to but they are closed today! read more
