I've used BC Tire in Piscataway several times over the years for tire work with different family vehicles. They have not disappointed. The last service a week ago was a self-caused emergency. I'd put off replacing my tires on our daily workhorse driver until a blow-out forced my hand. BC took in my CUV an hour after I called and had it back by the afternoon. Friendly but professional, they took the time to go over the options with me . No oversell (just good suggestions for what I told them we needed), the price was fair, the service excellent (in my driveway I checked the pressure and torque on the wheel bolts and all to spec). Many think when you go to a auto place. You are about to get robbed well not here for the experience I had. Felt a vibration in my car after hitting a Jersey pot hole. So decided to have the left tire balanced. Friendly gentleman got me all checked in. The whole process to wait for a tech finish the car in front of me, get my car in and ring me up took about 25 mins on a Saturday. The tech did the driver side as i asked for. And on his own did the passenger side. And the desk only charged me for one tire since I did not ask for the right one. Now she's riding smoothly once again. read more

I went from getting my tire fixed then had another problem occur with my ac two days later so I went to get that fixed then the following day the rear window is not being controlled from the front... I'm not going there anymore my engine might be next that's some bs. Couple of hours was a 6 hour wait and they never called me to let me know it was done I had to call back... dude said it was a 30 min work and it was done and when I confirmed with them about them calling me back dude then switched and said oh they just got done working on it right now. I had my brakes serviced here and was quoted half the price I actually paid. Shotty work was done and I had to bring my car back. The second time work was done correctly. BC refused to refund any of my money for repairs so I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. Don't bother coming here unless you want to be taken advantage of. read more

Visited BC Tire on 11/30/2023 to have my oil changed in my truck. This was while we visited NJ from Florida. Staff was friendly and informative. The entire process was completed within an hour. I came here since my wife told me they took care of her back then in her college days. So I called in the morning and asked the lady on the phone (believe it's Maria) if they were busy because I wanted my car checked out due to it overheating. She tells me to bring it in, but it's first come first serve. I figured since she told me to bring it in, there's no wait. How naive of me to trust them from the start. I head over and notice all the lifts are being used, so I find a spot to park my car and head into the office around 10am. The gentleman inside takes my info and tells me they'll contact me once they check it out. I'm thinking great! So I'm working from home and then around 3pm, I'm like.. this is taking a while, but let's wait a little more. However by 3:45pm, I decided to give them a call. The same lady picks up, whom I believe is Maria and when I inquire about what's the status. She puts me on hold for a duration before getting back to me and saying I'm going to need about $1400 (water pump, radiator, hoses) and it's not guaranteed to fix the issue (because it might be a head gasket), but she can work something out with me. I tell her I'll be over. I'm fuming while heading over there since 6 hours were wasted, they didn't narrow down any of the possible reasons why the car was overheating (I knew all those were possible reasons, but what's the point of going to the mechanic if they didn't check it) nor was anything fixed. At the office, I finally met 'Maria' the african american lady, who is extremely surprised that I wanted to take my car back. When I asked what took so long, she said my car was just being checked out when I called. I'm willing to call shenanigans on that one and say they only checked it out when I called. I'm sure since AFTER I paid and waited for my car for a half hour, they were putting the wheels back on my car then. They charged me $100 for engine performance diagnostic and $49.95 for scan computer codes. Additionally I was charged a questionable $9 for shop supply fee. So pretty much I could have went to Autozone and had the computer code checked for free, instead of being ripped off here. While checking my bill, I also noticed they got my license plate and VIN # wrong as well.... so I think that speaks volumes about the competence of some of the people here. Anyways, I ended up shelling out over a $100 to bring my car back to my mechanic in Brooklyn. It's now fixed and running. Total cost there: $750 compared to $1400 and no guarantees. The issue turned out to be the water pump which was replaced along with a belt and ignition wire. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else other than here. PM me if you want my mechanic. read more

Don't go here, do some research. Last week, as I was travelling, I left my car at my parents house and they offered to take it to BC tire for service because I needed tires and a repair for an oil leak. I have a 2008 BMW 328i, apparently oil leaks are common with these cars. I asked for a quote before they started any repairs. When my mom emailed me the quote, my heart stopped. The total quote was $3,901. I will attach a picture so everyone can see. This was for the oil leak repair, brakes, and tires. I have had the car for 8 years now so I know when I am being overcharged. I told them absolutely not, but to avoid the $150 diagnosis fee, I had them change just the tires as the front ones were pretty bad and I didn't want to pay $150 for nothing. I didn't need the rear changed which I'm sure they knew but they quoted me for all of them anyway. For mediocre tire replacements and a wheel alignment, I was charged $765. It was upsetting because I had received a quote for $550 from another place previously with better tires. I will attach both of these items as well. Now to the UNBELIEVABLE part.... Once that was completed, my dad picked up the car and brought it home. I returned a few days later and when I started the car, the check engine light was on. It hadn't been before and they told my dad this is because they were doing "testing" on the engine. I was naive and believed this explanation until, after driving for about 45 minutes, my car stalled and turned off at a red light. It took a few minutes to get it back on which I managed to do but it was hazardous as I was stopped in the middle of a road that leads to a busy highway. I got the car home which was about 15 minutes away from where it had stalled but the car was shaking pretty bad at this point. I was now really concerned because this was not happening before this place had "checked" the engine. I started doing some research, emailing different car shops, and asking for quotes on the items BC Tire claimed I needed to replace. The responses I got were, no lie, "One of those items doesn't exist" and "don't think you need to replace all of that". See the screenshots attached. After talking to a few people I decided to bring it to a local place, ETD Discount Tire because the owner was responsive and helpful. When I explained to them the situation and why I thought I needed to have so many things replaced, they took a look at the car and said, you only need 2 things replaced, whoever last looked at your engine left the cover misplaced because the 2 screws to hold it in were missing and left the oil cap opened. This was why my car was stalling and why the engine light was on. I couldn't believe BC tire had been so unprofessional and neglectful. Whether it was due to carelessness or spitefulness because I decided not to have the repairs done there, it was absolutely wrong. No business should act this way toward their customers, especially since I spent a lot of money there already and my parents have been taking cars there for years. It is really upsetting that this happened and if anyone doubts this, they can talk to Art or Hugo from ETD in Clifton. They can verify the condition my car was in. I ended up only needing $723 in repairs for the oil leak, less than what I paid for a standard tire change at BC. Figures. Don't waste your time going to BC Tire, they don't care about their customers or they have some neglectful, careless mechanics. I would not recommend this tire shop to anyone with my recent experience. I am a royal customer but when I went in to transfer tires to a different wheel I was quoted $2 per inch of the wheel. $34 to balance and mount tire and $50 to reset TPMS. Oh yes they charge to transfer TPMS with ridiculous amount. So rough estimate came out to more than $100 per wheel. I always purchased all the tires for the car that I own at BC tires. But after this, I will never be back at the place. read more

Came here to get new tires on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as a routine service on the vehicle. Elisha and everyone else in the office were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and HONEST with the work that needed to be done with my SUV. They only recommended service on my car that needed to be done. In the end, my bill was beyond fair for what was done on the car, and my car was completed faster than I could have imagined. I had trusted this store many times that I visited. My car is having an issue for a while. I have visited BC tires 3 times with the same issue and every time either they are busy or they overlook. There is a clear indication of jitteriness when you try to turn the car left or right and this happens when you turn from zero speed or very low speed. First two times I showed it to them they said they could not detect the problem. The thing is they never simulated the error, they were driving around with the car when they should be checking the same in the parking lot. I told them repeatedly that when you drive you cannot feel the jitter. Anyways, I thought I might be wrong (although its a daily experience and I know I cant be wrong). My brother in law and one my friends drove the car and they too complained without even me telling them about it. How can the experienced mechanics not feel anything? I have been waiting almost 3 hours to get my oil change done on a Saturday morning (its unthinkable) and hoping this time it will be fixed. When they returned the keys, they just shoved it off again saying they didnt notice anything. When a customer who has been loyal and coming back multiple times with the same problem , doesn't it make sense to give some extra time and solve it with the customer? They again mentioned come back on a weekday , Saturdays are busier. The thing is I did come on a weekday and they did not do a thorough job. Do people have no better job than to visit a car repair company on a weekday leaving their own work? Just pathetic service. Sweet talk in the beginning and endless waits and no sense of gratitude towards any customer. Please avoid. This was my last time here. I know they don't care since business might be good but I hope this review will alarm someone not to visit the store. I'm a returning customer and would recommend BC Tire . We travel a lot had Jeep tires put on last year This year we needed front tires on the GMC 4500 before the snow came . I spoke to Marie and she ordered the tires the night before and called the next morning to confirm they arrived and we could come early. I used to bring my car here for regular maintenance.so far so good. But some weeks ago my car broke in the middle of nowhere with the engine light on. So I asked the tow driver to drop my car there. They said I needed a new radiator and also there was a misfire. Wrong! The car had a blown head gasket (diagnosed in a different shop) and instead of doing a test for checking it they just changed the radiator, replaced a spark plug and charged me almost $1300. One week after, the engine light came on again. Brought the car at 9 AM. At 4 PM I called them and they have not touched my car. Were they avoiding the warranty claim? Not sure about it. I decided to pick up the car, take it to a different shop and they never even tried to retain a loyal customer. So bad for them! I won't take my car there anymore! read more

I noticed a strange sound in my car everytime I pressed on the brakes. So, on my lunch break ( around 2:30 - 3pm) - I noticed this shop and decided to pull over and see if they can help me. To my surprise, he was able to squeeze me in immediately. I told them I could leave my car at the shop and take an Uber to work. To my surprise AGAIN, they offered a free shuttle to and from work to pick up my car. WHAAAAAT?! After being dropped off at work, I got a call from the shop around 345pm stating what was wrong with the car and the estimate pricing BEFORE working on it. I agreed with the price and said I can drop it off to them early in the morning.. being as though it was late and I wasn't sure if they could work on it today. They then told me they can work on the car today and have it done by the time I get off work at 5pm! WHAAAATTTT?!?! So, the shuttle came and got me from work, my brakes were fixed and the price wasn't bad. I've found a shop for my car, finally. Will recommend to everyone I know in the area. Thank you for the help! I was greated by staff Marie she gave me great customer service & advised me what was best to get for myself. The price was so reasonable that I purchase 4 tires instead of just 3 tires. First time here - went to install tires and conduct wheel alignment. Marie, at the front desk, is amazingly helpful and knowledgeable; compared prices from other vendors for me and looked at deals to give me the best possible offer for the product and service. Dropped off car on weekday, used their shuttle service to work, and picked up it end of the day. They actually stayed open a few mins late just for me to come in and pick up my car. 2 weeks in, love the UHP tires and car has been handling well. Overall - kind people and great service. Will return for other services! My only warning is that there are quite a few eagles fans working there! read more

I visited BC tire today (5/19) & wanted to get a oil change done. I'm a first time customer and I brought a coupon with me (that's how I know that this business exists.) The African American short lady in her 20s that was working on the front desk has such a big chip on her shoulder. The whole time I was talking to her, I smiled and she never show any basic service attitude or a single smile. She told me that they're busy and they can work on my car at 5PM (I was there around 9AM). So I told her I will come by around 4PM to drop off my car. She rolled her eyes at me like I'm crazy or stupid, said I can't guarantee your spot in the queue if you don't leave your car with us right now. I told her I have to go back to work, it's reasonable to set an appointment at 5PM and come in an hour earlier and drop off my car. I told her I can't leave my car right now and I will have to come back another day. She proceeded to give me a very cold stare and walked away, make me feel like I just come in and wasted her time. Needless to say, I did not do my service there and will probably never will again. Even though BC tire succeeded in bring me into their store, they did not create a new customer, instead they left such a bad taste in my stomach that I don't ever want to set foot there again. I don't know what that young lady's problem is, she should go back to training and got some basic decent courtesy and basic good attitude for a service industry. I have never see anything like that before, that the customer that pays you and gives you business, you made them feel like they are idiots. I did not have a chance to see whether their mechanics or what they do is good, but the customer service front desk is horrendous. Will probably never find out. Good thing is Valvoline instant oil is just a few blocks from there, I quickly drove over there and got my oil change in 15 minutes. Brought my car in for service, it was in the shop for two days to replace front struts and some other work. When I drove the car home, I noticed the wheel alignment was way off, making car difficult to turn corners and change lanes. (Wheel alignment is a needed service when struts are changed, at additional cost ) The alignment wasn't included in the final estimate. I called the shop and they said I could come back in first thing in the morning. Went back the next day and they put the car right up on the lift, did the wheel alignment, and didn't charge me! I was ok with paying for it, and was just happy they took me right in with no wait. But they insisted no charge Refreshing to find a business that is honest and customer centric. Poor customer service. I called twice to get a quote on some tires and both times I was asked to hold, held on the line for 5 minutes or so, and then got hung up on. Someone either needs to train the person answering the phones on how to speak to people, or just flat out fire her. Don't waste your time with bad customer service. I took my car in on a lark (it's closeby) to get a few things fixed... a tie rod, hanging gas tank cover and what the dealer told me was a leaking transfer case (lots of $$$ to fix from them). They fixed the gas tank shield with a half hour of labor, the tie rod with an hour of labor, and looked at the transfer case. Normally a dishonest mechanic would tell me it's all broken, try to cut me a deal over the dealer, and fix it. They told me my transfer case didn't have any signs of a leak at all. So take that for what you will -- I got an honest response from an industry known to have dishonesty within it, so I'm happy. Car is driving well and I'll be back to get a few more things done. Four stars because nobody is perfect, but I walked away pretty happy. read more

I don't think I've reviewed a place of any kind online more than 2 or 3 times in my life. I'll simply lay out the facts for you, you decide whether to come here: 8:00 - I call and ask if I need an appointment to get a new tire (I have a flat). Answer is "no." 9:45 - I arrive, say I only have an hour because I have somewhere else to be at 11:00. They say no problem, should only take 45 minutes. I leave to go somewhere nearby to wait. 10:45 - I return, car hasn't moved from where I parked it. They tell me they're working on it (they aren't), I say I can't wait anymore, I have to go. They're working on it so hard they are then able to just give me the keys back. I leave and tell them I'll be back. 11:10 - Having taken care of what I needed to do, I return with car, they tell me now it will take an hour. New tire takes 15 minutes, tops, and they already knew they didn't keep their word to me earlier. But I wait, of course. 10 years ago there was no Yelp or other way to describe stuff like this to others, so back then I'd have probably complained to the other strangers in the waiting area like some maniac. 12:45 and I'm still sitting here. Get your car serviced elsewhere. By the way I am well aware that most people who read this will say, "this doesn't sound so bad," which about sums up the automotive repair industry. Their word means nothing and the customer is far from King. If you've found a place that treats you right, treasure it. read more

I have been going to BC tires for years. The workers there are always pleasant. I always find that they give me an honest estimate as to the work that needs to be done. The prices are reasonable and they review all the options, not just the most expensive ones. As a bonus they offer a shuttle service to and from work! Great place, fast, quality work. read more
