This might be my favorite restaurant right now. Everything I have had has been excellent. They are a bit pricey but it's honestly been worth it. I do not live close but make the 45 minute drive just for the food. Chicken Marsala is my favorite currently. Gnocchi perfection!! They do an awesome Sunday fried chicken special. Professional staff. Great outdoor seating. I love taking people here who haven't been before they always enjoy it! The Bill Miesters burger is really good and my father in laws favorite is the gumbo. Pizza is also really solid. I'm not much of a dessert person but theirs are really good they do revolving specials but you can almost always get a profiterals which I highly recommend! Beware very poor experience ... I often do not leave a review unless the experience falls well over and beyond in either direction. First the start off with Pros == Food was great, drinks were great. Cons == Service was sub-par. Got seated, but never cleared off table nor serviced for over 10 mins. Eventually hostess noticed and came over with water. Eventually a second person came to wipe off table and gave us menus. Eventually waiter came well past the 10 min mark. Food ordered - took forever to get. Eventually salad came way after main meal. only after we inquired not once about it, but then twice. After bringing it out, server tried to say they cooked it wrong, but somehow never mentioned during the wait, obviously they forget to put it in. Lastly, when we got the bill. How in the world does an Old fashion with Angels Envy cost $30 ? We ordered a speciality margarita that was $15, not surprised since it was a specialty drink item . The specialty Old fashion, which we did NOT order, was $15 (half). The Angle Envy did not appear to be a special blend, nor had the waitress even mentioned it while ordering. I've ordered same Angles Envy Old fashion at much nicer restaurants/establishments throughout the city, and never had they ever been anywhere in the ball park price ($30 / piece) that BC charged. This price was ridiculous. Final experience conclusion: Food and drinks were great. But way overshadowed by poor service, no regards to promptness, forgetting food order, and finally WAY overpriced drinks. The juice is definitely not worth the squeeze. Be warned, and hope no one else receives same poor experience. read more

My parents live out in O'Fallon, so anytime they want to go to dinner I typically request a trip to BC's. My mom and I also like to sit at the bar and flip through the PAGES of signature cocktails they offer. I can't help but rate the food & the drinks both five stars. As far as cocktails go, I can't tell you specifically what I've had because I've had so many... and they're all made expertly with several ingredients. Last weekend they were offering something called the Jalisco Smash... it was made with Reposado tequila, Missouri strawberries, blue basil, lime, mint syrup, and orange citrate bitters. It was a lovely orange color, extremely refreshing, and went perfectly with the warm temps. But really... there's something for every taste at this bar. I've had several menu items... the caprese salad is always a favorite, and so is the chicken quesadilla (hell-oooo guacamole.) They also offer nightly features... Monday is a summer BBQ platter piled with a half slab of St. Louis style baby back ribs, half of a chicken breast, house-made BBQ sauce, baked mac & cheese, vegetable slaw, and grilled corn on the cob. I'll let that sink in for a minute... From salads, to soups, to steaks, to a REALLY great reuben, I've gotta give Bill Cardwell props for this spot in Lake St. Louis. Placed an order for pick up. I was told it would be ready in 50 minutes and ordered apps and chicken sandwich. It took almost 11/2 hours for my food. I had to ask the hostess twice to check on my order while she was on her phone. Really disappointed! read more

Slightly upscale with a casual attitude & simple good food... IDK. I had lunch here & felt it did not work for me, personally. I did like the place, but... (We might he ordered the wrong items) Full view of the kitchen, wine rack wall, stone walls and cool semi-private booths by the bar... & paying 25% more for it. The sandwiches served to other tables looked more interesting, but we ordered the burger & pizza. I love fire roasted pizza & the sausage & mushroom plus other things made the pizza was great. For $15- I wanted a bigger pizza. ( I understand that this is about atmosphere & service, but my tea was dry many times... & I was not trying to impress my old high school friend that is a guy) My friend ordered the $11 burger & fries... I understand he liked them, but for that price it looked small. The strangest observation was that they give men three diffferent scents to wash hands (pic). very disappointed. ordered a bottle of Caymus Wine, pointing to a $40 bottle of wine and when it was delivered by the waiter we noticed it was not the same wine we asked and ordered. The bottle of wine was already open when brought to our table. we waited approximately an hour until the waiter returned and we let him know this is not the bottle of wine we ordered. we had not touched the wine and we asked to talk w/the manager on duty and she never came to see us so we told the waiter to take back the bottle of wine. The waiter walked away and said he wanted to check w/his manager. He returned and said the bottle could not be returned And then proceeded to charge our credit card for $150 bottle of wine we did not order. What a scam. Know that when looking up the cost of this bottle of wine it sells for $80, so a $70 markup on their wine. read more

An excellent experience from start to finish. We arrived on a moderately busy Saturday night, having called in to put our name on the list. There was no one waiting but the restaurant was full. No worries, we'll wait. We originally agreed to sit in the bar area but my wife changed her mind, preferring a chair with a back. Rather than allowing us to wait. They opened up a small (like 2 tables small) private dining room in back which appeared to have been closed. We were fine to edit, but they went out of their way to seat us quickly. Chalk one up for customer service. Despite the full restaurant out waitress arrived right away to get us started. She got our drinks right away. We had a few questions about the menu which were answered no problem. We wanted a few substitutions on our orders. Again no problem. My simple garden salad was delicious and included mixed greens, carrot, radish, cherry tomatoes and cucumber. Our meals were outstanding. My wife had a bone in pork chop which was cooked perfectly. I had the short rib served atop perfectly paired roasted vegetables and a delicious gravy. We didn't have room for dessert. As stated before our table was as far out of the way as possible, in a room off of the far corner of the bar. This is exactly the type of location where the wait staff is likely to forget about you. Not tonight. Not only was the service super attentive, but no fewer than three manager types stopped by through our meal to make sure we were satisfied customers. Furthermore, I am not the snappiest dresser. Tonight I was wearing sweatpants and a long sleeve t shirt. At other nicer places when I am underdressed I can almost feel the staff looking down upon me; but not here. They treated us like we owned the place. Our meal was not cheap ($100 after tip for 2 with no alcohol) but I think we got what we paid for. read more

I am so unbelievably disappointed with one of the managers. She must be incredibly angry with life to treat well-paying customers as she did. We were there for a long period of time having a COUPLE of drinks with my coworkers, and were told to get out. I promise you, there was NOTHING we did to deserve this treatment! We were shocked! We loved our waitress (tipped her well) and shortly after, the irritable manager approached us and told us to get out or she would call the police. Unbelievable. I don't really review places, but..... We had a group of 13 and it was amazing! Food, service, and the atmosphere was perfect. We ordered the PEI Mussels to start. I usually eat 3 and my husband is stuck with the rest of them. He doesn't complain. Tonight, they were so delicious, I ate half of them. He did complain tonight! JK. We eat kinda light. Every time we come here the food and service are great. I had a lamb sandwich for the first time. The lamb was tender and juicy. The sauce was outstanding. It's a large sandwich so my intention was to eat half and save the rest for another meal. Didn't happen; I ate the whole thing. read more

Was very disappointed in the restaurant both in terms of food and service. I went for lunch and ordered soup and a side salad. The ham and bean soup came out with virtually no beans, just a bowl of ham in broth. When I asked if I could get some beans in it, assuming they just hadn't mixed it well when scooping it out, the waitress came back after talking to the manager and told me no. I said I didn't want the soup then. I was not asked if I wanted to order something else and was virtually ignored by the waitress for the rest of the meal. Went for the first time recently. Keeping it simple. Pro's - Cocktails were solid. Crabmeat Rangoon dip was very good. My girlfriend enjoyed the Market Lasagna. Con - The Amish Chicken probably needs to be removed from the menu. It was brutally overcooked. Disappointing because I thought I would keep it simple and order something that is pretty easy to make. And I am someone who does not like to complain and know service staff work very hard. In fact, our server was great! Just disappointing on that one thing. This is a kid friendly restaurant despite yelp saying "not good for kids." They have kids menus, booster seats, etc. The kids menu has MANY choices and healthy options as well! Usually kid menus have small portions sizes but it was not the case here. My kids eat A LOT and we took food home (even after dad ate some). In addition, they each chose fruit for a side and it was a generous bowl of blueberries, apples, mandarins, pineapple, and topped with fresh dried cranberries. They were in heaven. As for my husband and I, we were blown away by not only the quality of food and healthy selections but the service as well. Christy was our server and she was extremely attentive, helpful, and kind. Our portion sizes were very generous as well. I'm vegan and they even had an options for me! I got the vegetable stir fry and it was so delicious and flavorful! My husband got the vegetable sandwich and he said it's the best veggie sandwich he's had! I did not realize this type of service exists in the area but we have found a new favorite restaurant! So we came in for dinner. They said they were fully booked except for the bar. We realized after an hour and a half of waiting on our food that they in fact had dinning seats available....as half the restaurant was empty. Next was our server serving appetizers to us with no silverware. 3rd they messed up one of our orders and after another 30 minutes we had to remind them they forgot our daughters meal altogether. The Brussels sprouts were so bland and a total waste. The filet is average at best (I would compare and say they weren't even as good as Omaha steaks...store brand). Next we wanted desert, however after waiting another 30 minutes we gave up and just wanted our check. First time eating there and it will definitely be my last. read more

Food used to be fantastic and this was my go to place. Went on Sunday and service and food were barely mediocre. Pasta was swimming in oil, we had to send it back. Flounder was dried out and the Marsala used to be our favorite and it was way over salted and dry. The only item that was good was a pizza but we can go anywhere for that. I am incredibly sad that the menu and quality as changed so much . At this point I can no longer recommend BCs. read more

I like the restaurant. Their salmon & veggie sandwich are fantastic. Some menu items are too heavy and pricey. You won't miss pork chops here. That being said, Supported the restaurant during COVID by ordering takeouts. Now, the restaurant seems to have forgotten their patrons and rejects pickup orders. Am sure they're packed and busy, certain patrons aren't still ready to show up in person. COVID has made me realize to stay away from these types of establishments. First time visiting BC's Kitchen. Had a great experience, thanks to Lisa as our server. She was amazing. So kind and accommodating. Wings were the best I've ever had....not traditional wings by any means, which made them excellent! Don't hesitate to get the Gumbo. Great flavor and the corn bread gave it the right balance. Sorta wished it had more shrimp, andouille and chicken but, it wouldn't prevent me from ordering again. read more
