I just love this place!! I used to work down the street and would go often for brow waxes and facials. Helene literally saved my skin a couple years ago while I was suddenly dealing with cystic acne, and I haven't had a problem since! My office moved last year and I hadn't been back until today, and it's still as awesome as ever. I had my brows threaded for the first time (Phaysone is SO good- it's gentle, quick, and she shaped my brows perfectly), and then got a spray tan by Alison, another first. I was a little nervous about it, but she made me feel so comfortable and did a great job. A few hours later the tan is getting a bit darker and is literally perfect- no streaks or uneven areas. Anna is AMAZING. She's incredible at waxing, and has a technique that somehow makes it pain free (which I thought was impossible). Hello beautiful people! Today I stopped by for my appointment with Angela. She is Portland's hidden gem when it comes to beauty services!! I have been on the look for years for an amazing gall that can do Brazilians and I found her! As most of us know trying out new people for Brazilians isn't exactly ideal but what makes a great experience is the bedside manner. She made me feel very comfortable by giving me enough space to get changed, she understands skin sensitivity to its full extent, though personal experience and I can tell cleanliness is a priority for her! I was aware of where she was going next and the whole time kept the energy uplifting and positive. So fun to talk to!She also did my under arms and with new client paperwork (about 1 sheet) and check out I was in an out under 30 min!! MOST IMPORTANTLY she is that type of beautician that will say "hold on, I need to get this hair and make sure this looks right" ahhh it's like music to my ears! That is the moment I feel less like a customer and most like a friend. And I know I am in the best hands and feeling extra beautiful coming out. She also has a ton of experience with threading and other services, I'm sure she's keeping up with other trends as well. I'm in Portland for a few days. Thought I'd get my eyebrows waxed, as they weren't quite long enough yet to tuck behind my ears and were getting in my way. I passed by this place, went in, they told me it'd be a half hour. So, I went down to Cargo and wasted the half hour looking at all the crap in there. I got an AMAZING facial with extractions with Beth last week and my skin looks radiant! Yes, the extractions are painful but Beth continuously check up on my pain level and kept me distracted with fun stories and questions. I'm not a very regular waxer, but I do like to go for a French bikini wax before vacations. A bikini wax is inherently unpleasant - no one likes having their v-hairs ripped out at the root with hot wax (or maybe they do, whatever, I'm not judging). Be Smooth does a superb job of making the experience comfortable, non-awkward, and dare I say, pleasant. They'll keep the conversation going so you're not thinking about what's happening down below. I've always thought them to be very thorough in the job, and they will pluck what they don't catch with the wax. I usually see Helene but I'm sure they are all wonderful! read more

ive been feeling under the weather so i decided i wanted some glow to my skin. I actually first went somewhere else before coming here and noticed my skin didnt change much, even though i chose the darkest option possible (im hispanic with olive undertones so normally i do the darkest possible and it works great for me). Disappointed and feeling like i wasted money, the next day i booked an appointment at Be Smooth (with Ms. Phaysone camp) i explained what happened and told her i desired wayy more color than what i had, and she thoroughly sprayed me not once, but twice because i emphasized i wanted intense color. She was so sweet and patient and really listened to me. She did a great job and rolled over me with a skin roller sponge to make sure i was really well blended and had no streaks. Will be coming back for sure! read more

BeSmooth is the perfect quick in and out place to get your brows waxed. Also you can get a quick facial and the new spray tan is a plus. The owner Helene is a very experienced. Skin Care specialist and she has a ton of products from European skin care to my favorite cosabella brand. She is a perfectionist and wants everyone happy when they leave. Everyone here is so kind and helpful. The salon is very clean and organized. I went in to get some waxing and my waxer Anna was very gentle and helped me understand why I experience some skin issues and some remedies that might help. She didnt need to do that and she wasn't paid extra to be helpful but she did get a tip for a her help. read more

Loved it! My friend and I got the French facial with extractions and we loved it! This is a beauty bar concept so you can easily chat of you go with a friend. The facial is a mix of relaxation and skin treatment. Even though extraction can be a little painful, it is super efficient and we both feel like our skin looks much cleaner and is way softer. Helene and Phayson did a terrific job and took the time to ask us about our skin routine and to make some recommendations based on our concerns and their diagnosis. As I went to write this review, I saw I reviewed it almost three years ago exactly...and I still love it! They moved into a new place which is even more lovely than the previous location. Helene is so sweet and full of skincare knowledge. I never feel like she's trying to push a sale on me, I always feel like she's a girlfriend sharing tips. Phaysone does my facials and is the best. I bought a Groupon for three of the VIP slimming treatments, and on the day I went in for my second treatment they had messed up the scheduling and I wasn't on the schedule. Helene felt so bad she gave me another treatment for free! I wasn't even upset but she really went the extra mile to fix it. She is actually a chemist by trade, so that gives you an idea of her level of expertise as far as your skin goes. This place is great, there's no frills...kind of "down and dirty" in a good way. This was the greatest waxing experience I've ever had. In the past, I've left salons feeling like the Sweeney Todd of waxing attacked me, but not at Be Smooth. The service was thorough and efficient and I definitely plan to return in a few weeks for maintenance. The woman who performed my services(her name escapes me now ugh!) was amazing.
