I have had a mixed experience with Be Well. I have mostly done take out. Most of the times, they forget to put the side in the bag (today, they didn't). My problem is that they are generally not good at taking feedback. Their chicken paninis are terrible. Chicken is usually dry and overcooked. I have now requested twice to not make the chicken too dry. Off late, asparagus is also bad. And, yet, it made no difference. I love supporting family run businesses. But, I can't be paying for bad quality food. That said, their chocolate mousse is quite good. read more

Loud cafeteria style setting which seemed to be a hot spot for pretty much everyone. Friends meeting up, students, gym goers, parents with kids, business meetings, few people sitting at the coffee bar working on their laptops, etc. I was in the area and was lucky enough to snag a parking spot. Once inside, the wait was between 5-10 minutes to order and around the same to receive my coffee and food. Plan accordingly! The wait gave me time to read up on their double-sided menu which included a breakfast side - pancakes, bagels, egg plates, sandwiches and a lunch side - wraps, burritos, paninis and salads. You line up and move along side their bakery case so naturally I ended up buying peanut butter energy bites and a pumpkin bar. Both were Gluten Free for anyone reading this who is looking for GF. I ordered a cortado and a recommended Chipotle Showers Burrito $14 - grilled chicken, chipotle aioli, turkey bacon, spinach, tomato, avocado and cheddar. My side was the very popular sweet potato hash. I sat at the coffee bar and watched the barista making quick work of her coffee orders. Hat's off to her she was really moving. My cortado was delicious, soft, creamy and strong with a subtle sweetness. My burrito was pretty good, but not really $14 good. The chicken was fresh as was all of the other ingredients, balance was a bit off the chipotle aioli came and went. I thought the flavor of the chipotle was great though. I shared the PB bites and pumpkin bars later. I usually don't eat much Gf but they were good. Finished them off with a cup of coffee the next morning. The menu has a lot of well thought out meals with healthy, fresh food ingredients. Not a fan of the wait, but it's always great to support a small business. read more

Great food & cute atmosphere! Stopped by Be Well on a Sunday to get a good brunch and they did not disappoint. I had their turkey bacon, avocado, Chipotle toast which was reaaaallyy good! The variety on their menu is pretty lit. The bakery was meh though. Their case was pretty empty and what I did try (the coconut cake) was on the dry side. So, I went back to this business since my last review 3+ years ago. Because, I was given a gift card. Well, was surprised seeing it was not as crowed on a weekend like it always was. I ordered the 2.0 Burrito's, very disappointed as well as the other person. I must admit, they use to be good! No taste..the kale was hard (normally soft), no taste, hardly any sautéed onions, barely any feta and minimal sauce. Again, the place needs cleaning. Some of the staff needs to do something with the long hair flying around when food or drinks are being made as well as dressing properly. I get it, it is a comfortable low-keyed young atmosphere, but, the dress code should be reevaluate when serving the public. Not short shorts or sports bra that barely fits serving the public. You can wear proper shorts, tops, t-shirts etc that is presentable. To give a positive, the workers were very nice and accommodating. read more

I came here just after 2pm knowing that they closed at 2:30. I was fully expecting to be rushed out. Not only was there no rush at all but the place was packed for a Wednesday afternoon. Excellent lunch find after a 9 am soccer event at Bryn Anthwyn's turf. Our hungry family loved the menu offerings and ended up with a bagel sandwich, 2 Bella Bonfires ($12 each), a chicken pesto sandwich, and a Ceasar wrap. Sweet potato mash and scones were also hits. Coffee was great, and the price tag for 5 came to $68...a bit steep for a lunch. Seating was an issue during lunch rush, so we sat outside until we could grab a table for 5 indoors. I was only in town for 3 day but ended up coming here twice! They have so many amazing and fresh breakfast and lunch options. My friend I was with has celiacs and this place was a haven for her! I thought it was awesome that they serve a side with all of their mains and they even let you choose a baked good as a side. We tried their flourless chocolate cake and tuxedo cup and both were delicious. HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE!? Omg. It's exquisite. I did a search for "gluten free cafe" this morning, called to make sure they were allowing people to come work there for a while, and found... heaven. Actually, as I pulled in, "It's A Beautiful Day" by Michael Buble played on my radio and that was definite foreshadowing. ;) This place is GREAT!!!!! A couple things I particularly love about it: - Staff is super kind, really really friendly. - Plenty of seats... and they WELCOME computer workers! There's another location 2 doors down from the main cafe where computer workers can go to work. HOW SPECTACULAR. I also go to The Coffee Room in Newtown, and like it there, but they're only allowing visits to max out at an hour. - So many gluten free options!! OMG. I want to try it all. - The coffee was great (and super generous portions). I got a large cappucino with almond milk and it's massive. - Soundtrack in the main Be Well Cafe was my jam (lots of pop songs I was dancing to as I was working). I don't love the tunes in the other cafe as much but that's OK, I can pop in my AirPods. :) - I love the artwork, the overall vibe, the "You Are Loved" picture on the wall. EPIC. - It's great to work from here - there's fast complimentary wifi and lots of outlets. I'm super surprised to find this place in the suburbs and I am SO GLAD I did. Love, love, love it here, and can't wait for their Richboro location to open which is even closer to home. read more

I ate lunch here years ago with a friend who lives in the area and remember enjoying the freshness and flavors, the friendly service and the coffee. A week ago, we enjoyed a gluten free carrot birthday cake from here and it was one of the best cakes I've ever eaten, gluten free or not. I could not believe it was gluten free. The icing, which I don't usually eat on cakes, was perfect in amount, sweetness and richness. I could not believe that a cafe that makes great food also was such an incredible bakery as well. DON'T EVEN TRY TO BRING YOUR LAPTOP HERE (and give your money to places who want your business): I've been coming to Be Well for years and never had this experience. I was by myself at a table for two (as there was no room at the counter) eating and drinking coffee while working on my laptop when the owner (I assume) came over, interrupted my work, and informed me that I had to leave and go to their auxiliary location "two doors down" where they want "computer people", despite having spent my money like any other customer and actively eating (while they seem just fine with conversing couples taking up tables for an hour or two sans laptops). This secondary location has no food/drink service, uncomfortably harsh fluorescent lights, zero atmosphere, and near silence (with almost zero customers). It's like working in an empty fast food restaurant or day care center. Incredibly rude, incredibly demeaning, and unforgivable. I had to get up and leave the secondary location because it was extremely non-conducive to working (and my eyes hurt from the lighting). For the price of me sitting at a table for an hour (with food I purchased, and still eating, and plans to purchase more), they have lost a customer. There are plenty of other cafes in the area who are not rude and dismissive of people who enjoy working in public and purchase food throughout their stay. I am happy to give my money to people who want me around. You should too. UPDATE: It's no longer silent as there are now loud and uncontrolled children loudly playing in here. UPDATE 2: Now I am alone here, just me the uncomfortable chairs, and the harsh lighting. If I wanted to sit alone and work, I could stay at home (where the food and coffee is free). Not my type of spot, it's mostly for hipster type people, but it was a nice little spot. I was confused about how the line worked, and there weren't menus, just big blackboards with what they were selling for the day. The cakes looked so good behind the glass, but many of them were sugar-free or gluten-free and I just wanted something fatty and sweet. The staff was friendly but stared at me and my mom like we had three heads when we were standing there trying to figure out where the start of the line was and how we were going to order out cakes. There was a crowd in there, so there was no way we were going to find a seat. So we finally figured out how to order, and I got a few slices of cake that looked yummy to me, well I hoped they would be good anyway. My mom also bought a few to take back to my dad. The price wasn't too bad when we checked out, and I also ordered a coffee. The cakes were just okay- Ive had better cakes, but maybe it was the selections I tried, or maybe it was too healthy for me-when im used to have fatty sugary cakes. Truly a gem in this neck of the woods. Other reviewers say the same thing, but it's very much true. What can I say that hasn't been said? Not much but I'll try. Their flavored teas (all unsweetened) are the greatest thing. Off the top of my head I can tell you both the blood orange and passion fruit teas are delightful, and you won't miss the sugar or artificial flavors. They have an array of smoothies, and while their smoothies are good, they aren't the stand out menu items in my opinion. If nothing else you absolutely must try their baked goods here. Their key lime tart was possibly the best one I've ever had. Their cakes and brownies are super rich and packed with flavor. It might seem like empty calories, but it's so worth it. On top of this they offer a ton of vegetarian and vegan options, and most of their menu is very healthy in general. Whenever I want a guilt free lunch I head on over here. I live in NYC where the bagels are the best and should remember to not order them outside of NYC, for the most part. The house medium roast coffee is decent. Lots of milk options. Pour your own water station. They bring your orders to you. Pick your own utensils and return the used dishes/utensils inside. Be Well Cafe is the place Starbucks aspires to be. I've been here multiple times and I enjoy it every time. We got there around 10:45am today. It was hard to find a table because of how packed it was but eventually we got one. We ordered two 16 oz coffees with our meals. The employee taking our order asked us if we wanted the coffee in mugs or in plastic cups. We asked to have it in mugs and they came out with the coffee in plastic cups. Not a big deal. Then when we went to add creamer to our coffee, there was none. I asked the employee who brought our food to the table if he could re-fill the creamer for us. I ordered the Southwest sandwich on an everything bagel. Simple and delicious. Two eggs with roasted red pepper, arugula, pepper jack cheese and a side of chipotle aioli. I also asked for a side of veggie sausage. My boyfriend got the Green Eggs wrap with a side of sweet potato hash. I'm a huge fan of the sweet potato hash but the veggie sausage was to die for. Whatever you do, make sure you order the salted caramel tuxedo cups. They're even gluten free (GF) if you're someone who doesn't eat gluten. With that said, just because they are GF, they're not missing in flavor or deliciousness at all. Pinky promise! They have other gluten free, and even vegan options as well - everything that I've tried, has been excellent. I've really only had their baked goods & lattes, which are all amazing. Their other food options always look appealing as well, though I've never tried any of their other menu items. The interior decor of the cafe is really sweet and pretty spacious - only it tends to get incredibly busy on weekends (making it feel less spacious lol).
