We had a screen door with a large doggie door built-in that would accommodate our Great Danes. It worked for a while, but the frame became unstable and could not handle our dogs going in and out. It eventually warped where the screen door would not slide or close/latch properly. So, my husband was in search of someone to replace the screen door, but do a better job with designing and building it. As he researched, he was referred to Beach City Screens. He contacted the company and spoke to Chris. After going back-and-forth, Chris made some suggestions and recommended a high-quality product that would be a little bit more expensive than a normal screen door. He doesn't have a showroom, but he invited us to his warehouse so we could take a look at the materials and products that are used to build the screen doors. We were impressed with the quality and choices. We got a quote, and we scheduled an installation about a month after. He did come over to our place to do final measurements and go over details. Since this is a custom-made product and around the holidays, we knew the lead time would be a little longer, but it wasn't horrible. The product came in and his business partner Caleb came to do the installation. He, too, was a professional. We have nothing but great things to say about the company, Chris, Caleb, and the product. This screen door is 100% better and more durable than what we had; the doggie door size was a lot bigger and better to accommodate our Great Danes. Last month I got fed up with the nasty rollers on the screen for our patio sliding door. I got the door out of the rails and removed one of the wheels and ordered 2 replacements online. I struggled to get the new wheels to stay in and finally figured the keepers that they attached to were done for and couldn't hold them in place properly. Time for a new slider screen. We like doing business locally so called @Beach City Screens and set an appointment for measurements of the new one. The fellow on the phone said a new screen would cost about $379! We figured the old one lasted for decades so not a terrible price based on our shopping around. A young man named Caleb Roddy called ahead and arrived on time. He looked at the door and frame and asked if I still had the rollers I'd bought. I handed them over and Caleb installed them successfully, then he explained that although they may not last forever, at least we could save the price of a new screen for the meantime. Chris is the owner who came out really timely as agreed to measure and provide me with an email bid. His price was very reasonable for stainless steel mesh Vista security doors. Once we agreed to have him custom order a bronze mesh security screen door for my front door and a white mesh security door for my side bathroom door, he removed my existing screen doors so I could have my handyman stain and refinish the doors before he installed the new security screen doors. He told me it would take 2-3 weeks for the custom doors to come in and they came on time as promised. I work a lot so he was very accommodating to come install my doors on a Saturday.
