My old review is posted below. I will say that the owner reached out to me, and more than made it right. I've eaten here about 5 times, and every time except the last one was correct and delicious. OLD REVIEW: "Please get in the habit of reading back orders after customers place them. It seems like every place around town messes up your order in Bend. The food itself is great. I normally don't like leaving bad reviews, and I'll change it to 4-5 stars if it's addressed. But, when I'm on a work break and I'm rushing to pick up food for my coworkers, it leaves a bad impression on multiple people when the order is wrong. I know we're all human, it's just irritating. Ordered a picnic platter and it turned out perfect! It looked just like the picture and was so so delish as well. The bread didn't dry out hours after purchasing my catering (and was at altitude where bread dries in 20 seconds). Sandwiches were cut nicely and presented professionally in one of their catering boxes. Generous with meat and veggies with just the right amount of everything to enhance the flavors. Californian with cream cheese, the Sunrise and the Hobie (mustard on the side). I will certainly come back here again and highly recommend it for any catering. Service was over the top as well. Really good and tasty. Very moist. We ordered the Reuban sandwiches and they were fabulous. A little expensive, but worth it.

While visiting Bend, we had a day wandering around downtown. When it was time for lunch, we found ourselves next to the river and the colorful Beach Hut Deli looked tantalizing. We ordered a 9" turkey and shared it between two. The booths are really cool, made out of surfboards with TVs located at the end. There's plenty of seating. Really tasty Cali Cheese Steak sub. My first time ever trying this food. I enjoyed its very unique contrasting and flavors served on a toasted garlic bread. It really just hit the spot and it was a cool experience combined with the location of the place. Also, the friendliest servers. read more

Just received possibly the worst sandwich I've ever purchased. Hubby and I both ordered the Righteous Rueben "Dude" 3 inch (they don't tell you that's really just half a sandwich). It was on the wrong bread menu states toasted garlic bread, we got toasted white sandwich bread, it didn't remotely resemble the photo of the sandwich (I know they never do but this one was ridiculously small) there was so little meat it didn't even cover the bread. There was no sauerkraut on either one or cheese on my husbands. The dressings (mustard, thousand island, pickles or relish) offered were either not on the sandwiches or was so little you couldn't taste anything. They were just a dry tasteless mess. It was close to closing time so I guess they just wanted to get these made and go home. We will never eat there again. Don't waste your time or money. read more

The Bend location is definitely not Granite Bay, CA, home of Beach Hut. We were there on a beautiful, sunny lunch. First sign of possible trouble was that at lunch rush, there was only one other customer in the whole place. The girl taking our order was delightful. The gal manager came out and seemed mad about something, then went out in the alley dining area and was smoking, with her Beach Hut shirt on. It was so nice to try and eat our sandwiches while smelling her smoke. The sandwiches also seemed to be lacking in quantity and quality. Ideally we always have at least two visits anywhere we are near a Beach Hut. Not going to happen. Still come here for a great sandwich. The quality issue may have just been just the manager trying to save a buck. The stinky, homeless young people are going in and getting water and bathing in the dining area..,staff said nothing. Seeing the guys bare rear ended made us want to leave before ordering. Help! Love Beach Hut, this one needs a lot of help. May wish to go somewhere else. read more

I went to this place out of convenience because it was close to where I parked my car, and I'm very glad I did. This is just a new establishment that doesn't have many reviews yet. I had one of their toasted sandwiches, and it was absolutely delicious. Also, they have a weekday special (I think it's almost everyday) where they rotate a different beer on tap and it's only $2 for pint. Lastly I think their happy hour was from 3-6pm daily. That's when I was there, but I didn't get anything off the happy hour menu. Bottom line is, Beach Hut is great option for lunch or dinner and it is a great value. read more

We are addicted to Beach Hut! Seriously, we come here at least twice a week, if not more often. Unlike other sandwich places, Beach Hut actually puts a healthy amount of meat and veggies on the sandwiches. And there are plenty of "bread" options, including lettuce wraps (which is what we often get). In addition, there is beer and wine on tap. But best of all, the employees are the friendliest. And the patio overlooks Mirror Pond! Who could ask for anything better?!? read more

Tried this place for lunch today. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The girl that took our order was very nice and professional. It looks like they have a good tap list. I got the meatball sub (without the cream cheese- why does everything on their menu have cream cheese?). It was edible, but I was also really hungry. The costco level meatballs just are never the best option, especially since there are places that make their own meatballs. The bread was fine. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak and he claimed it tasted like hot pocket filling in bread. If thats your thing, this is your sandwich. We had a tv in our face the entire time that played infomercials, not sure if these need to be on in the middle of the afternoon, as they were distracting and unnecessary. Best Deli in Bend... Perhaps the world. Alright, those last 3 words might have been a bit over the top but we've eaten here a handful of times and every time this place exceeds expectations. Being a creature of habit, I continue to order a Turkey, Salami, and Swiss sandwich on each visit. I continually make the mistake of ordering a large (versus regular) on most our visits - which is fine if you want to eat this sandwich for the next 3-days and have the discipline to stop eating when you feel you're about to explode - I lack such self control. The sandwiches are delicious! My wife is more adventurous and has tried several different sandwiches; she has been happy with every try. And of course, our most picky eater is our daughter and she finishes her meal every time! That in itself is impressive. Food is great. Service is super friendly. We popped into this restaurant on a weekday afternoon. Sandwiches were full of meat and everything else and were delicious. Service at the counter was awesome. The cashier/waiter (male, sorry I didn't notice his name, piercing eyes, shaved head, and maybe had those earrings that fit into the lobs?) was nice, friendly, engaging, and looked you in the eye. He does a great job. When our daughter had questions about the items on the menu, he answered her directly. We sat at a table and as each of us finished our food, someone came over and removed the sandwich wrappers and plates immediately. We'd come here again. read more

Now that is a damn good sandwich! I wish Portland had more things like this. Sometimes you just want a really nicely packed sandwich. I got the Surfin' Bird without cream cheese and it was delicious. The bacon is extra crispy, so if you don't like that be sure to mention it. If a sandwich is refreshing, it's a good thing - those sandwiches exist here. The staff were respectful to this very rude customer, gave him his refund with a smile, and then gave the sandwich to the next customer. Was very impressed with their response.
