Was in line behind a man who became irate and demanded a refund for a sandwich for really no reason. The staff were respectful to this very rude customer, gave him his refund with a smile, and then gave the sandwich to the next customer. Was very impressed with their response. Love their sandwiches but their customer service is God awful. Called on the phone to place a Togo order. I didn't even get a "hello, how can I help you?"... nope, all I got was a rude "ya?". As if I had called their personal home phone. I tired to ask questions on how much a sandwich was and instead of quickly looking for the price all I got was an abrupt "I don't known that off the top of my head!"....(their prices aren't listed) I later found out she couldn't hear me very well? But that's no excuse for rudeness. As a person who is also in customer Service it's really easy to tell someone that you can't hear them and to ask them to speak louder. I honestly believe that to be an excuse for her rude behavior. Not only that but the sandwiches where both made incorrectly. I took one of the sandwiches back to be easily fixed but instead I was met with the whole kitchen in a fuss blaming me for the sandwich being incorrect. I really don't care what the meal tastes like. I walked in unknowing what time it was or what time they closed. The guy behind the counter told me that they were closing in 2 mins but would make me what I wanted really quick. I apologized and started backing out, but he insisted if I didn't mind them cleaning around me. So I ordered. After a small bit I asked if I could get my order to go because I did not want to be in their way but they insisted that I stayed and not feel pressured. We had an absolutely horrible experience here! Came in with my son today. I'm seven months pregnant and he is 12. My son doesn't like any lettuce tomato or garnish on his ham sandwich. I ordered a ham sandwich with just cheese, ham and mustard. when I went to pick up my order it had all the garnish on it so I politely told them and they said they would fix it. When they brought it to my table my son opened up the sandwich and saw that they had just removed all the lettuce and tomato and it had all the remnants of it left on it so I went back up and told them that it was unacceptable and still no apology. Finally a little weasel brought it to back to my table and I asked him if it was their policy to just remove the garnish and not remake it and he said yes we don't like to waste food and proceeded to blame me and insinuate that I like to waste food and act as though I was belligerent and tell me I wasn't welcome back upon which I said that I would never be coming back. We went up and got our money back. We were so insulted and the whole ordeal was a huge unnecessary embarrassment in front of a lot of people. I wouldn't support and establishment such as this just based on principle but my Santa Cruz sandwich was terrible as well. read more

Never been more sick after Pig Kahuna. First time being there 6/7/2018. Within 30 mins of me leaving the establishment I hit a 100.9 temp and been on the potty since. Other members of my party are fine (they stayed away from the pork). Willing to try it again but, going to need to do something other than pork. read more

I have gone here 4 times since they have opened just a couple weeks ago because I was so pleasantly surprised with the first visit! Huge unique sandwiches (my favorite so far is the surf and bird....amazing), and a bunch of great local beer on tap. Tons of big TV's that play sports, so it's kind of like a kid friendly sports bar too. I have kids so I can have a sandy and a beer while the kids are off making a custom soda with this crazy computerized machine where they can select and inject all sorts of flavors. They also have a shuffle board table which keeps the kids busy while I have a follow up beer watching whatever sports are on! Brilliant! ;) This has instantly gone to the top of my Bend list! read more

Not what I was expecting after all the hype about this spot ! Don't get me wrong , the atmosphere is great and they have a huge menu with many options for just about anyone . However , you pay the higher prices for the atmosphere. Sandwich quality was equivalent to that of something you'd order at subway. Nothing too special, very generic taste. Again you pay the higher prices for the beach vibe atmosphere and that's about it. Long wait times too for a not so busy Monday afternoon. Probably won't be returning here. read more

We ventured in this evening after walking the Bend Summerfest. Ordered a couple of sandwiches, which were tasty, but expensive ($9 for the smallest sized, 2 meat sando, with no chips or sides included.) But the most off-putting part was sitting down to eat, only to be assaulted with the smell of cigarette and pot smoke wafting in so strong it made my lungs burn. We had to wrap our meals and take them to go just so we could breathe. Not sure if the smoke smells were coming from the patio or the breezeway, but it was unbearable. It was a warm day so all windows were open, but I probably won't be back until the place is fully insulated (winter time) from outside pot & cigarette smoke. read more

I would have given 3 stars if it was less expensive, you're looking at around $13 a sandwich for anything beyond a basic turkey sandwich (which I think is $8-$9 or so). I know this is downtown Bend but that's still pretty steep, especially since the food is pretty good, but really nothing to write home about. If you like this style of sandwich I'd recommend Jersey Mikes on 14th, basically the same thing but like $5 cheaper for the same size sandwich. If you're already downtown though try out Plankers, it's also spendy but more worth the price. read more
