    Pizza!

I wasn't expecting much since this is literally a little shack on the beach. I got a pizza slice and it was so good! Very unexpectedly delicious!!! I would probably get a slice here every time I come it was super good. Girl working was super sweet too!

On a cool evening, I was craving a filling meal with a glorious view. I got just that when I visited this café and ordered the All Beef Hot Dog. It was the perfect meal since while I was enjoying it, I was able to enjoy the beachside views along with the beautiful ocean. I was happy and enjoyed the rest of the weekend evening. The service was kind and I also parked nearby without any issues. If you are ever in the area when going to this beach, I would definitely recommend this place!

Great place for a snack. The chicken tenders were just alright, but they were exactly what I needed.

I bike along the beach regularly and this is a great little beach cafe at the end of the bike path so it's a great place to refuel for the return trip back. They have a large variety of food. Everything from burgers and hot dogs to Tacos and even a full menu of desserts.

The worst fish and chips ever.

On my way from malibu to santa monica Pier, I stopped by this place. I thought that instead of eating another burger, maybe I should try something a little more healthy, so I ordered the fish and chips. Had I known what I was getting, I would have stuck to the burger. I got three pieces of battered fish that were drenched in oil. Oil was literally dripping off of them. The fries were soft and oily. One of the pieces of fishe was not even cooked all the way through and was rubbery. For nearly $16, it was the worst food I have ever had. In fact, it was worse than the burger I got almost 20 years ago at Joe's Greasy Spoon at a truck stop on I-84 in Pennsylvania. If I could give no stars, I would. Don't waste your money here and have mercy on your body. EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I loved the convenience of this beach cafe! First off they take cash only. There is an ATM available for your convenience however it comes with a fee. The cafe has their prices listed which was helpful. They have a range of items-hamburger, fries, pizza, ice cream, chips, drinks, candy. We ordered fries and ice cream, it was a perfect snack for us. The fries were delicious. They were busy when I went on a weekend but the line goes fast, thank goodness because there is no shade on a hot day. They are located right next to the bathrooms and near the parking lot. They have a couple of tables with umbrellas for customers. They provide boxes for you to carry your items back with you if you are taking it back to the beach like I was. Awesome place, we will be back!

Great view, nice selection of good food for breakfast or lunch, super kid friendly due to being located next to the playground at the beach. Nice attentive staff. Don't order the house coffee it's pretty gross! The latte would be a better choice. Reasonable pricing.

Located at the entrance of Will Rogers State Beach lies the Beach Side Cafe. It is true what other Yelpers have said about this place- no customer service, no napkins or utensils and only ketchup and mustard made readily available. Oh, and CASH ONLY. There is an ATM if you need it though. The prices are steep; we ordered a grilled cheese, fries and turkey sandwich and it cost $19. My fries were cold and soggy but the sandwiches were decent. The only thing this place has going for them is their location so if you're willing to walk a little farther South, I highly encourage you go to Perry's Cafe where the seating and condiments are ample and abundant.

Okay place but overprice the menu items other than what the menu says plus charges extra 75 cents at the end. Not very good food either.

Four star for convenience and how inexpensive it is. It is cash only, which sucks but there is an ATM. I was scared it was going to be an expensive fee but it was only $3.50. Glad it was there, I was hungry and only had chips and drinks! Can't complain!

    Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries. $13.75

Great options for food when on the beach! Portions are great too. CASH ONLY. Prices: A meal with Cheeseburger, fries, and drink is about $14. Burgers are about $7 plus $1 for any bacon or add ons. Burgers come with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. Ice cream starts at about $5. Fries are about $6 if you're just ordering a side, and the portion is huge. Food: All of my food was delicious. The fries are definitely frozen, and were a little overcooked, but still good. I enjoyed it all. Food is served in a handy uncovered box that you can easily walk back to your beach area. They provide napkins and packets of ketchup. Seating: They have a few tables available Prep time: You'll wait about 15 minutes for your order. (I went on a pretty busy day) Staff: The lady that served me was very nice and accommodating.

I really liked that servers had the handheld Toast machines so they could enter your order in at the table and minimize risk of forgotten or missed items. This also meant that the orders were placed immediately and the wait time for food was really fast! I got the breakfast quesadilla, which looks like a burrito but actually is a quesadilla wrapped up with all the other listed ingredients inside, especially pico de gallo and avocado. The fruit was pineapple and strawberries and grapes and other good fruit, not just honeydew and cantaloupe. Fresh squeezed orange juice was totally worth it too. Their lattes are MASSIVE. Paying and tipping with the server standing right there is somewhat awkward but the service was so fast and good that I was going to tip well anyway. One downside is that street parking can be hard to find and the cops ticket pretty quickly around here.

I don't usually leave negative reviews because I always try to focus on the positive aspects of a…read morebusiness and give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, my experience at Great White in Venice left me disappointed, and the main reason was the service. First, we arrived around 9:15 a.m. after seeing that the restaurant opened at 8:00 a.m., only to find out that opening had been delayed until 9:30 a.m. Honestly, that wasn't a problem at all. We waited outside, and when guests started arriving, we got in line and ended up being among the first few parties seated. The food itself was good, and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My issue was with our server, Nate. I understand that everyone has bad days, and I also work in the hospitality industry, so I try to be very understanding. However, the service felt extremely cold, detached, and uninterested from the beginning to the end of our meal. I'm not expecting over-the-top friendliness or a formal introduction, but there was virtually no warmth, no engagement, and no sense that he wanted to be there. Throughout our visit, an older gentleman working on the floor (possibly a busser or food runner) showed far more hospitality, attentiveness, and genuine care for guests than our actual server did. After we had finished eating, I ordered an orange juice while waiting for some pancakes to-go. I was asked whether I wanted the juice for here or to-go, and I specifically requested it for here. I then waited approximately 30 minutes. During that time, I received my check, paid my bill (including a generous tip), and watched multiple tables that had been seated after us receive their drinks and food while I continued waiting. My server walked by several times, looked in our direction, but never followed up or asked if we were still waiting on anything. Eventually, I flagged down another server, who was very kind and immediately looked into the situation. She returned and explained that the orange juice had apparently never made it onto the screen. However, I had taken a photo of my receipt, and the orange juice was clearly listed and charged. The issue was never the $10 orange juice. Mistakes happen. We all make them. The disappointing part was that nobody simply acknowledged the mistake or offered a sincere apology. A quick "I'm sorry, that was my mistake" would have completely changed the experience. One additional observation: I was told that cash is only accepted if you have the exact amount. That's perfectly fine, but I think that policy should be clearly posted at the entrance or on the restaurant's website so guests know beforehand. Again, I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely wanted to leave a positive one because the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. Unfortunately, hospitality is about more than just delivering food to a table. Based on this experience, it seemed that our server either dislikes working in customer service or was having a very bad day. Either way, many other staff members we interacted with demonstrated the warmth, energy, and hospitality that guests hope to experience when dining out.
