I came on a Saturday when this amazing, engaging band was there. Had a great time dancing and interacting with the band! I had two drinks there which were well mixed and yummy. The bartender's service was fast and friendly. I didn't have any of the food there so I can't comment much on that, but I'd have no problem coming back to try it or just for a drink. read more

We came here on a Friday night, and it was great. We went straight upstairs to the open air deck. They had 2 bars open and we didn't have to wait long for drinks the whole time we were there. It wasn't too crowded, and had a really nice atmosphere. There was some dancing! The bartender was nice enough, but impatient with us... We had trouble deciding what to order because all the taps were closed and there were no menus or drink suggestions anywhere. Also, the DJ wouldn't play 3 Drake songs in a row, but maybe we were being too demanding... We didn't order any food, so I can't comment on that, but I will say the bathrooms upstairs were HOT. Overall, we had a lot of fun here, mostly due to the atmosphere, cheap drinks, and beach views. read more

I thought the new upper patio would have made this the place this summer in seaside. Unfortunately it has not. I was up there with some friends the other night and we drank our one drink and hurried out. All we saw was people on drugs dancing to techno music at 6 in the afternoon. For a place called the beachcomber they do not play much beach music. I wish the place had more of a beach identity. read more

They do NOT let people with service dogs in!!! They flat out deny you and don't care!! It's against the law for any business to deny one in. This is discrimination against those with disabilities. I was pleasantly surprised how fresh and good the sushi was. The sushi chef changed gloves constantly which I appreciate. I think their pizza is pretty good, I can't say much about any other food other than the raw oysters, they were amazing! My friends and I wanted to sit outside to eat at the beach so we came here. Walked up the steps to the patio and had to find someone to ask to sit (just sit anywhere). Getting menus was like pulling teeth. The staff seems overworked but I can't say for sure. Went to the bar and ordered drinks but the bar is cash only so I had to take money at some random ATM machine. We finally got to order our food. After, when it finally came out, half our tables orders came out and had to wait a good while for the rest. Everything came on a styrofoam plate, which is not conducive for a rooftop seating area- plates went flying. Long story short, food was ok. Beware of this place!!! I am not from the jersey shore but i came up to stay with family for the weekend. We got in late last night (Friday) and went out to this place immediately after. I used my debit card once at the first floor bar. That was the only time i used the card since arriving here. This morning i got an alert that someone tried to use my card to buy $450 worth of stuff at the local home depot here. I took care of it with my bank and called beachcomber and talked to the manager about what happened and why i am certain that this happened at his establishment. He did not take it at all serious and said his employees have been working there 10 years and wouldnt do that and maybe someone read my card through my pocket. To make this more preposterous, the bartender that served me was in her mid 20s so im not sure how she's been working there for ten years. And i did not have a tab open. I paid for the drinks i ordered signed the check and took my card back. Clearly beachcomber has no intention of looking into what their employees are doing or taking this seriously. We only went for drinks around 10.the place was not busy-lots of empty seats-and 3 of us ordered mixed drinks which were good but the fourth person ordered a draft beer with a coupon. The bar tender gave us attitude about the coupon, took it, but didnt give him the beer. He asked about four times nicely & she kept saying ya ya ya but taking other orders. We had a tip for her but apparently she didn't want it. After ten min another one of us got his free beer & then we left bc they were so rude. My favorite place in seaside. Don't try getting a cocktail and stay with beer or shots. Great food. Can't go wrong with the giant pizza slices. They even have sushi which is pretty good and oysters. read more

Beachcomber is what makes my summer, summer. It will always be my go to place and I love all the bartenders. Everyone is about having a good time and you definitely do there. Their quesadillas, if you can get them in time, are delicious. With the recent roof top extension Beachcomber is awesome and definitely the #1 spot on the whole Seaside Boardwalk. Love the owners from personal experience and even seeing them on the news. Down to earth and get what the jersey shore experience is about. Seaside is my second home and I love having Beachcomber always being there for me. read more

Was there last week and I wasn't at all impressed. Considering they were lucky to still be in business after the fire the bartender couldnt give a crap about the customers. The people who work at the shore need to get their crap together because there are nicer crappier places to go to besides this place. Someone got slapped here ? I guess it could be that it is early May and business is "off" but I expected it to at least be good. I don't live at the shore and met some friends for lunch on the boardwalk - it wasn't worth the hour plus ride! On the positive side, the fries were fresh from real potatoes, but overcooked and very dark - perhaps the oil in the frier wasn't hot enough, or it was in need of changing. The cheesesteak had a good amount of meat on it, the bread was nice, but the peppers and onions were cooked to order and not cooked well enough. I expected the nicely thin sliced onions and peppers, but these were chunky. When they cook them on the grill together in bulk, they get all soft and extra flavorful -- not so when they cook a small handful to order. I felt that I prepare a better cheesesteak at home, because I try to make it the way I like it at the boardwalk. $14 for a sandwich, fries and a soda - I guess the pricing isn't bad, but the food was just "meh." read more

Been here about six or seven times in the five nights I've been at Seaside, if that's any indication. I haven't been to the 'clubs' as we had no interest in that and just wanted to hang out in some decent bars on the boardwalk. This was kind of our anchor point, for the reasons pointed out by other reviewers. Great bar staff, quick service, decent live music. We never got food there so I can't really comment on that. In any case I would say one of the more solid bars on the boardwalk. read more

3 Stars for the view. Its a good time upstairs, downstairs is another story. The Sawmill has great drinks.

Classic Jersey shore bar and food joint. Bartenders are awesome and personable. The downstairs crowd can be a complete mish mash of everything from Bayhead preppies to 1% bikers. You never know what you'll see there. Upstairs tends to have a younger, more clubby crowd. Pizza is currently the best on the Seaside boardwalk. Their sushi is actually quite good, so don't be afraid to order it if you are in the mood. read more

Best place on the boardwalk. We love Amanda at the upstairs bar. At lease the fourth summer with her. It's a bar, hard to remember.

Over poured liquor drinks. Staff comes off very rude for no reason. Asked for a water and a bartender spit in it. The band is below average and mostly obnoxious. Many patrons were highly intoxicated and were still being served. Wouldn't recommend during the later hours of the night. Maybe stop in for a drink on a bar hop but I would not stay to mingle. read more

Wish I didn't have to give a star at all!! We had enjoyed coming to the beachcomber in the past, but this past Saturday 3-25-17, we were denied entrance. The bouncer told us that we could not come in with my Service Dog. I explained that denying access to a Service Dog is against the law!! I asked to speak to a manager. He said he would get the manager and the manager never came out. Then I asked to speak to the manager again or the owner. The bouncer went in to get them. He said that he let them know and if we wanted we could sit outside. It was raining! Again no one had the decency or courtesy to come out and speak with us. We stood waiting patiently outside for at least 20 minutes. I gave the bouncer a card stating the law pertaining to the ADA, but not sure if anyone ever read it. I spoke to a police officer right afterward and he agreed with me and said that he would speak to them. We will never go to the beachcomber again because of the blatant discrimination against the disabled and the extremely rude treatment we received, and how they didn't care that they were breaking the law. We will let all of our friends and family know also. Please don't patronize this place. read more

The view from the rooftop is the best thing about this place. The service is the WORST service we'd EVER had! And the food sub par. On such a beautiful Sunday afternoon you'd figure with a few drinks and some good music, how could it be bad?? WRONG! We sat outside for at least 10 min before getting greeted by a waitress. We were so hungry we gave her our food and drink order at the same time. Finally got a drink in hand, things are looking up- NOT! Lol . Our food finally arrives and was already cold but at this point we're eating it . 2 hotdogs (more like kielbasa on a stale h ero!!) cheese burger, fries and a quesadilla. No utensils were given. No Ketchup or mustard. The waitress literally disappeared! I walked up to the bar , couldn't find anyone to help get us condiments. Finally see her and ask for mustard . She never brought it! My fiance and I each bit this dry stale thing and couldn't eat it. She NEVER came back, we would have ordered 2 more rounds of drinks and the food wouldn't have mattered that much lol , if she had come around. I finally see her and get up to ask for the check and tell her she forgot the mustard- she flat out yelled at me and said " can't you see how busy it is?!" WHAT??? idk how they do things in NJ but as a server myself from NY I would NEVER speak like that to a customer! We eat out 3-5 times a week and this service was the WORST EVER in the history of the world!! I guess we just go there for drinks and that awesome view next time. Last summer, around 20 of us went to the Beachcomber to have drinks and listen to music. The band that was playing, The PastMasters TPM, was awesome and we were having a blast listening to them and dancing. After approximately an hour, the place got so HOT that we literally had to leave and go to an air conditioned place a few blocks away! Needless to say, we spent almost 600 bucks at the new place just drinking and having apps. The Beachcomber has an AC unit that is pretty run down and useless, and its Not INSULATED, so the condensation was pouring off of the ducts. The guy in the band to the right was obviously not happy that water was dripping onto his equipment. I can imagine how many people leave this place in the summer due to the lousy air conditioning! UPGRADE THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT!! THE MONEY THAT IS WALKING OUT THE DOOR BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF AC WOULD PAY FOR A NEW SYSTEM. USE YOUR HEADS YOU CHEAP CHEAP OWNERS!!
