The bar outside was packed and jumping with people at 6:00 pm. We went inside with our party of 5 adults and 2 children. The waitress put 2 tables together for us and since we were the only ones inside she was ready to take our drink orders. Several in the group ordered fancy mixed drinks that they all raved about. I went for unsweetened ice tea. It's a good thing I tasted it before I added Splenda. We ordered chicken fingers for our girls so that their food would come out first. 2 of us ordered raw clams on the half shell and 2 ordered steamed clams for appetizers. We also ordered our entrees at this time. 3 of us ordered Flounder in a basket with French fries.And 2 of us had fried shrimp with fries. The first thing out was 2 orders of raw clams . Then 2 orders of Flounder with fries. Then 1 order of Flounder and finally brought out the chicken fingers for our 2 little ones. We asked where the appetizer order of the steamed clams was. The runner brought it out and yes it was cold and had to be sent back. When it finally came out it was ok. The manager came by to apologize for the problem. The food was ok. The place is clean and rustic with their metal chairs. The waitress knew what she was doing . We know she put the order in for the chicken fingers but the kitchen screwed up. My family lives nearby, so we've dined at IBFC, island beach fish company, a few times. The weekends get busy in the summer, but the staff and food are really good! When it's busy, the host will take your phone number & text you when your table is ready. The parking becomes chaotic, so park and walk if you can. SEASIDE PARK: the newest tiki bar in Seaside is Island Beach Fish Company and leashed dogs are allowed! A nice outdoor space with swinging bar seats, picnic tables, and a Mount Gay Rum bar (opening soon), it is a great place to hang out and feel the ocean breeze from right up the street. There is a full bar and food menu and the pizza was so delicious and made in an artisan style. There are TVs to watch the game too! We wanted somewhere we could sit outside, and we saw the picnic tables and umbrellas and thought it looked cute, live music, etc. First off, it smelled weird when we sat down. I realized that it's because the ground has shell pieces all over (instead of rocks). So it smells.. like old dry sea shells. Something to consider if you have a good sense of smell. This menu was a lot smaller than we expected. We were in the mood for seafood entrees, so we were disappointed. The waitress said this was their 4th day open, and that the fish market was empty still. We went with the scallops and the clams. The scallops were great and the Cajun sauce was great, but only 3 scallops on a tiny for $18 and no bread or anything to dip into the sauce? The clams were soooo bad. No flavor! Not even salty! I wanted steaming hot clams with a delicious garlic butter taste. Instead, the dish came out like warm and flavorless. So this was about $40 and just didn't hit the spot. I came here with my uncle for dinner and we had such a fun night! I ordered the spicy crab hand roll and a California roll, both were yummy! We also had the general tso dumplings which were fantastic! The waitress seemed a little confused, she might've been new. My mom went here with her friends and had THE WORST service she's ever had in her life- and we go to a lot of places. The waiter snapped at my mom when she asked for dressing for a literal dry a** salad, which she did in fact order dressing. The waiter replied "it's very busy back there" amongst other exchanged words......you're joking right? DONT COME HERE if you're looking forward to receiving what you ordered, because they ain't doin it. No one to check on you, refill your water, and not a single manager in sight checking on people. This is a hard review to write because I have mixed feelings. The atmosphere is awesome being outside and having the swings at the bar. The service was not great we were sitting for a long time and had to wave down someone for service. Then after receiving food we were not checked on. Although the waitress was super nice they were not very attentive. The shrimp app was very good the flavors were great. The Mahi tacos however were lacking in flavor. Great spot! Stopped in on Friday (start of Memorial Day) - the outside patio and Tiki Bar are open! The place is easy walking distance in Seaside Park and has a great vibe. Live music and dog-friendly! My wife and I ordered some appetizers, the swordfish bites are highly recommended. We don't eat much pizza anymore but I wanted to try the bar pie (One Bite!) it was thin, light and pretty much an 8.7!!! Shout out to Dustin - great guy! We got there at 6pm but by 8 it was getting real busy, but the outside area is huge so it didn't feel hectic. Be back soon!! read more

My boys and I came here for dinner and were pretty bummed by our overall experience. I will say place is a really cool vibe: picnic tables, outdoor beachy dining with a live band playing covers of Sublime and Jack Johnson, crushed shells on the ground, tiki bar...super cool. That's about where the positives in this review end. The hostesses were deeply engrossed in their conversation when we arrived and we stood for a few minutes before they finally noticed us and then seemed annoyed at the interruption. We did ask to be seated in a shadier area if possible so naturally she sat us at the most direct sun-drenched table with a broken umbrella that would not open. Awesome. Our server was very pleasant and moved us to a table with a working umbrella so that was nice. The menu is sort of all over the place...salads, sushi, raw bar, fried baskets...and pizza. I asked for the mango chicken salad with the only modification being no hot sauce but was told the chicken comes with the hot sauce already on it and cannot be removed (?) sooo I tried the pineapple chicken stir fry instead. You know those frozen veggie stir fry bags you get at the grocery store? That's what this was. Add in some tiny rubbery chicken bits and a TON of soy & teriyaki sauce that made it so salty it was pretty much inedible and voila. Oh, and there was no pineapple in it. Weird. The burger and appetizers my kids ordered were sub-par and also tasted like they came frozen. Everything was just meh and while the prices aren't insane, they're definitely way higher than they should be for the quality of food you get. While our server was nice, we had to flag her down to ask for refills on drinks, we were never brought water like the tables around us were, and only saw her twice the entire meal. I noticed other customers at nearby tables having to climb up on the benches to open their own umbrellas and one gentleman who asked for a high chair having to go retrieve it himself from inside the unused dining room area AND he had to wipe it down and clean it himself as well before putting his baby in it. Overall it was a pretty dismal experience and there are way better places in Seaside to stuff your face than Island Beach Fish Company. read more

Wow! Talk about disrespect and poor service! We sat down, could not figure out who our server was, was very patient in them dealing with the very junior staff. Let's end on this note. When we started to question where the entries were, we learned they gave it to the wrong table, removed it from the wrong table after some time, and were told to take the food they served the wrong table "or wait for it to be remade and would not prioritize " was the tippy point. I never write these reviews but the management team is not doing right by the staff they hired. They need to train the staff. Especially not to roll their eyes when customers are looking for service to match the price being charged. This is on the management of the restaurant. I love it when they turn the fluorescent lights on after dark! Outside, the swings....too wide, can't stand next to your date and how do two guys go and have a drink together, not very manly, lol. Food was fine, outside area is beautiful, but the outside bartender Tiffany was so rude! I went to enjoy the first football Sunday with beautiful weather sitting outside. They only had 1 TV set up with 4 games, none of which were the one I wanted to see. When there was a lull in service I asked if the other TV could be set up with my team's game. Before I finished my question she shut me down that what was on was on and then continued to complain about management making her life difficult with all these apps. But later on when SHE wanted the Yankees game it was suddenly no problem to set up the second TV with that. I also heard her not so subtly complain to the other bartender that I was taking up a bar seat "just to watch football". First of all there were 5 empty seats at the bar and second, I was happy to order food when the other bartender offered me a menu (by the way I was also drinking beers so even before I ate it wasn't like I was not spending anything). I left at halftime to go elsewhere but in the short time I was sitting there she was constantly complaining to the other bartender about stuff. She made it a super negative and unwelcoming vibe at the otherwise beautiful outside bar. I appreciate the service industry can be frustrating at times with difficult patrons and management, but the amount she let her frustrations consume her was not professional. read more
