We hired this company to replace our front and backyard fence, and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing and stressful. Both the contractor overseeing the job and the worker were unprofessional throughout the project. The quality of workmanship is poor and not at all what we paid for. The fence has visible gaps and holes, scratches, and exposed cut lines, making it look unfinished and sloppy. More concerning, they attached our fence directly to our neighbor's house without permission, which is illegal and a violation of property and trespassing laws. This has understandably upset our neighbor and put us in a very difficult position. When we raised this issue, the company told us they would not fix it and stated that "this is how they do their work." This is not stated anywhere in our contract and is a clear breach of the agreement. There were also serious safety and cleanliness issues. The person in charge of the job arrived smelling strongly of alcohol, which immediately raised concerns about professionalism and safety. Additionally, razor blades were left in our yard, and a saw blade was left in our neighbor's yard. Our neighbor has small children, making this an extremely dangerous and unacceptable safety hazard. They also left behind scraps, vinyl pieces, and debris scattered throughout our yard. The job site was left messy and unsafe, with no regard for homeowners or neighboring families. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues, the company has refused to correct the work. We are now being forced to hire and pay another contractor to fix their mistakes. This has been a costly, frustrating, and upsetting experience. We hired Beach Yard to replace fencing in our front and back yards. In light of their unprofessional conduct, unsafe practices, poor workmanship, contract violations, and the company's refusal to take responsibility, we cannot recommend this business to anyone. Our experience shows a clear pattern of dishonesty, negligence, and disregard for customer safety and property. The lead installer, Sean, arrived on day one smelling strongly of alcohol, and what began as unprofessional behavior escalated into aggression and argumentative exchanges, something the company acknowledged had been reported before. We later learned that his conduct not only made us uncomfortable, but that his behavior towards our female neighbor "creeped her out." Safety was disregarded as well. When the crew left, multiple razor blades were left on our walkway, a saw blade in the yard, and screws and debris scattered across the property. The workmanship was equally poor. Despite the company showcasing an automated router on their Google page, every cut was done manually on-site with a saw. The result was exactly what you'd expect from that approach: inconsistently sized holes, visible gaps, and over-cut lines on almost every picket hole that make the entire installation look sloppy. Wrong materials were used, installing pocket rails for the tall pickets and wedging pieces of material between the pickets just to keep them in place. The fence feels flimsy throughout, including the small gate, which rattles loudly with even the slightest movement. The workmanship falls far below any reasonable standard. Most concerning, the crew attached the fence directly to our neighbor's house without notice or permission, creating clear liability and trespass issues. When we raised this concern with the company they initially lied, claiming the previous fence had been attached the same way. When that was disproven, even the owner of the company claimed it was "normal practice" to do this without permission. We finally got the owner Brady Beach to inspect the job himself. Much to my dismay, he insisted nothing was wrong with any of this, stated it was all industry standard, and dismissed my concerns as unreasonable. Brady openly acknowledged that this was not the first complaint they had received about Sean's behavior. Yet in the same breath, he made a point of telling me that Sean would continue doing work for the company in the future. After I pointed out that the installation violated our contract requiring posts set in two feet of concrete, Brady finally said they would come back and detach the fence and reset it but implied we would be charged for correcting their mistakes. He also falsely claimed our neighbors were "fine with the situation." This was simply untrue. We had already received messages from our neighbors expressing their frustration and asking us directly to have the issue resolved. Given the repeated misconduct, unsafe practices, and dishonesty, we told Brady we would not be comfortable with his company doing any more work on our property and requested a partial refund to help hire a qualified contractor to correct their errors. This was met not with professionalism, but with a phone call in which an argumentative Brady continued to defend the poor workmanship and attempted to shift responsibility, stating he "believes that's on the homeowner." He then escalated further by saying, "You want to go to contractor arbitration? I've never lost." That's the owner...that should tell you all you need to know about this company. We strongly urge others to look elsewhere for their fencing needs. read more

We had our fence gate replaced and there were problems with the replacement gate which included opening/closing and warped boards. We called to report the issues to the company and they sent Mike and Mark out the next day who identified several issues with the replacement gate and wanted to fix it correctly. The following morning they came back out and entirely replaced it with a new gate. They built it with higher quality wood and hinges. It's not often that you find people who do quality work and stand by their company's warranty. Dealing with Beachyard Fence was a total nightmare. And as you can see from his response to other reviewers who weren't happy, he just blames them and doesn't take responsibility for the outcome. Our fence was damaged during one of the storms and his quote was the only one that didn't come out and look at it and asked me to send a photo. He gave to both my neighbor and I a quote to *replace* all the wood for the 16 feet of the fence that was damaged and sent a photo of what a new fence looks like. When the worker came out he actually took our boards and nailed them back together, in our view changing the scope of the work. He still expected to be paid the same amount of money until my neighbor bitterly complained and then he said he would take $100 off (less than 10% of the quote). I decided to talk to them to see what could be worked out but they were completely unreasonable. First they listed off to me all their business expenses and complained to me about how expensive it was for them to do business. I told them none of this changes the fact that they quoted a replacement of the wood which they didn't do. Then they tried to say that the quote was for a "repair as needed" which doesn't mean replace and I had to point out there was never any language about "repair as needed" in the quote - the only word used to describe the service is "replace" and it's there more than once. I tried to come to some sort of agreement about what the value of the work that was done after the fact and it was frustrating. The work that was done was not contractor level work in our view and he didn't uphold his end of the contract but he still wanted to be paid basically the full amount. Before the worker decided on his own to drastically change the scope of work he should have talked to us about it and we should have agreed on a new price then. We never would have agreed to pay him what he now wanted for nailing our fence together. If he wanted that amount of money for nailing our fence back together he should have told us that and he didn't. The way he chose to handle this was worse. In the two conversations I had with him, he was angry, completely unprofessional and extremely rude - interrupting me, almost constantly talking over me and complaining about his costs of doing business. He also talked down to me, told me I should know what terms meant and that I should know that the photo of the fence he sent didn't mean they would necessarily replace all the wood. He would say things like well other people won't even take these kinds of jobs and now I see why and maybe I won't do this kind of work in the future. Which is not only irrelevant to any solution, honestly felt manipulative. In our second conversation the first thing I tried to tell him when I picked up the phone is that I was driving and had my daughter in the car with me. Even though I told him twice he didn't hear me because he just talked over me and refused to listen to what I was saying. So my daughter sat there and heard him yelling at me and openly mocking me. She even spoke up and said, "Oh my gosh he's mocking you" and I told her yes, he is and he didn't even hear us and just kept yelling and demanding things. But it didn't stop there, he went on to complain that his office manager got *****ed out by my neighbor and I had to raise my voice and tell him a third time I had my daughter in the car and to not use profanity. It's completely unacceptable for him to call me, yell at me making demands, mocking me and using profanity. There's just no excuse in the world for that. Ultimately, he wanted too much for nailing our fence back together but did say they would replace the wood in the damaged area. My husband said if he wants to get paid, to have him come back and replace all the wood which they agreed to do. Both my neighbor and I were nervous about having them on our property again or what they would do but when they agreed to send the worker only and replace all the wood it seemed that would be fair. I'm just glad it's over and regret ever working with them to begin with. read more

I appreciated the experience and depth of knowledge of the staff, Mark and Mark, and their patience and helpfulness in pointing out and skillfully addressing small issues. When they left the project overnight so the cement anchoring the posts could dry, they cleaned up all trace of their presence, something I don't often see in contractors. When I needed to delay the installation so pool installers could work more easily, Brady was very accommodating. We have been the customers of a fair number of contractors. Beachyard has terrible customer service! our fence fell over a few short months after being installed, in the wrong color I will add. The owner blamed us for the pony wall being unstable and not appropriate for placing the fence on. They were upset with the bad review left by my neighbor and tried to make it right by fixing said wall, saying they would remove the brick wall and placing the new fence in the ground for a certain price, then backtracking, increasing the repair cost to more then what we paid for the original fence the when we agreed to letting them fix their mistake. We may not have used a general contractor but anyone with integrity would have made sure that their work was sound, and when it failed would correct their mistake instead of blaming the homeowner. I would NEVER recommend Beachyard to anyone. read more

Let me preface this review with the fact that I just spent thousands of dollars to redo my front yard. I am going to rapid-fire some of the issues we encountered: - Drilled into my stucco and my neighbor's stucco after I explicitly told them that they couldn't - The fence posts were not plumb - The fence itself wasn't straight. There was a huge concave shape because they didn't know how to put posts in a straight line - They left my old fence posts sticking out of the ground - They left half of my fence still attached to my wall - Destroyed my sprinkler lines and caused a major flood that I had to fix myself further destroying my yard - Left piles of dirt from the post holes in my yard because they "don't haul away the dirt" After speaking with the owner about my issues he started yelling at me. He asked me "what do you want from me?". When I mentioned that I would like him to come out and go over the issues I have with the fence he told me "I'd rather not" and that he would never come to my home to look at the issues. When I told him that I wasn't happy and I would need to negotiate something to make this right he continued yelling at me about how he would never give a discount and that there was nothing wrong. After I calmed him down he said he would come out the next week to walk the project with me. The day came and went and he never came. He decided that he would just send the same guys back to fix what he felt the issues were without even seeing the project without me being home or asking my permission. Overall this company does shoddy work and I wouldn't let them touch my home ever again let alone build a fence at my home. And if you ever have an issue with the work they did expect an unprofessional owner to yell and you and tell you that you're the problem. read more

It was a nightmare working with Brady! He was unresponsive, unprofessional and left a huge mess! The project which should have taken 3-5 days was just completed after 20 days! 15 of which were me calling and texting to no response for him to come clean up! They left a huge pile of rubble in my side yard for 10 days then tried to dump it in my garden! Removal of the old fence resulted in an ugly concrete edge which was made worse by them chiseling more concrete to install the support posts. I'm extremely pleased with how it came out. There were a few mistakes but they were taken care of within 48 hours of install. He told us the wall had to be reinforced OR it would need to be inside the wall, in the dirt. Both options were fine with us. When their crew showed up, they installed on the existing wall.
