Cute place, I had an americano it was just ok. More water than I would have liked. Overall it's not bad if you need coffee. Service was fast .

So many different types of flavorings! From honey lavender to rose to shortbread I was so excited to get a latte. I got the shortbread latte - which the barista happened to make iced. It was so delicious, and especially the best when you take your coffee out and walk by the park. There is limited seating, so if you're looking to hang out and sit down I would recommend hidden grounds nearby, but for their coffee, their shortbread latte is a hit.

Small, cute, and quaint place to get a quick coffee. They don't have seating inside, but the guy was really friendly and welcoming towards us. It was a one-man show, but he made our drinks really fast. They had traditional coffee options as well as seasonal lattes available for purchase, which were perfect vibes for the rainy morning.

It's a tiny spot, a speck really, and I only noticed it because for three days in a row, I was taking the PATH from Manhattan to Hoboken where my company's office building is on River Street. While I enjoyed the riverfront walk, on my last morning there, I made a detour onto Newark Street and found this coffee shop. Just a kiosk but a nice one embedded in a beautiful brick building. I just got a $2.85 Drip Coffee (photo: http://bit.ly/2ZlUcU9), and it was what I wanted, which was basically anything but Starbucks. But it indeed surpassed that modest threshold. COFFEE - 4 stars...locally roasted beans bring a nice richness to the brew AMBIANCE - 4 stars...no place to sit but it's a handsome walk-in closet, ideal for commuters SERVICE - 3.5 stars...certainly friendly enough TOTAL - 4 stars...I'll take Hoboken...OK, not really but the coffee is fine RELATED - Lost in Jersey? I can't help ya but here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2HnXQqD

Stopped in to the Bean Vault for a hot chocolate while I write out a Holiday card. There was nowhere to sit in the post office, and luckily it was right across the street. It has a bench, counter and some merchandise and that's all. It was perfect. Having just had brunch and lots of coffee, I opted for a hot chocolate. I think Haley was the lovely young person that helped me. I let her know I just wanted to buy some thing to try the spot out, She ran down the list of hot chocolate sizes and offered me a kid size. It was a perfect tiny helping for only a couple bucks. Way better than spending almost 4 on a gluten-free Stroopwafel. The hot chocolate was good. Not too sweet and perfectly creamy. I finished writing out my card, she helped me close up my package, and I was off to finish my errands. It was really fun talking with her. I would happily go back for coffee & more conversation another day.

Cute little hole in the wall place. Great coffee, quick service. I also took their beans home. Absolutely love!

Bean Vault is definitely located off the main path. It'd be hard to come across unless you're looking for it. It's a pretty small shop with no seating. I generally look for coffee shops with seating because I like to work in them. But the decor inside is really cute with a rustic vibe. The coffee wasn't that great. I got a latte and it tasted like a cheap cup of coffee. The barista was really nice to us though. On another note, I have come here in the summer before for their lemonade and that is pretty tasty.

    Caramel Latte with Almond milk

Location is bizarre. Walked up into this place and it's small. I like that they had a decent amount of dairy free alternatives. This coffee is not great. We've had better. Ordered a latte and a caramel latte with almond milk to try. It was $6 for mine! Ridiculous! It was NOT WORTH IT. They actually charge 0.70 for almond milk and 0.60 for flavor! FOR FLAVOR! I will not return here. Never been to a coffee shop that charges for flavor. They don't even have cups or sleeves with their label on it. They're saving money on marketing even. No need to charge customers THAT much. I wish I could get my money back. We've had better coffee elsewhere. For that reason, I don't recommend this place. If you like just plain coffee, it's still expensive! Choc o Pain is much better.

My favorite coffee spot in town. Locally owned and cared for. I love stopping here in the mornings on my way to work. The quality of snack and coffee is top notch. They have some interesting flavors and everything is authentic. They even make their pumpkin flavored items from actual pumpkin puree, not some syrupy crap. Tips: - They have every kind of milk you could ever need, coconut, almond, soy, etc. - They have a coffee club so every 10 cups you get a free one!

Horrifyingly acidic coffee! Eight of us went and only those who got the lattes sort of finished, and the rest of us threw our coffees out. I guess nome of us enjoyed the acidic, medicine-like coffees. I am very confused by the rest of the good reviews; I am willing to try again and update my review in the future. Hopefully, we just chose a wrong day.

Dirty Iced chai with oat milk
    Aliceandra S.

Cute whole in the wall cafe with an actual vault as their fridge!! I've tried three drinks so far a Iced Dirty chai with oat milk which was okay not my favorite but that's because I'm not personally fond of spicy chais, the iced oat milk latte with lavender and rose which was my all time favorite that I used to get somewhere else but haven't been able to find those flavors anywhere until now!! If you love floral flavors and a nice dairy free iced drink I definitely recommend you try this. I also tried the iced coffee with caramel which was also amazing! The espresso is amazing in flavor and so is the iced coffee. If you're in the area you should definitely give this place a try you won't regret it. They also have pastries but I didn't try anything.

I hate staying in doors to work on my laptop . Gets boring. Is there WIFI? I would buy items & coffee the whole morning at the Cafe if there's WiFi. Please let me know. Thanks

Hi, Nati we do have Wifi but not much seating. Hope to see you in the shop soon.

Is this a good studying cafe?

Unfortunately we are not really set up for quiet studying. But we have really strong cold brew.

The ladies working here were so kind and gracious about it, explaining how to order the cinnamon donuts in advance and they freeze well if you order a large quantity, so I purchased an apple cinnamon caramel scone instead. I ate it the next day and it was very good. I appreciated that it was a scone and not too sweet. There are chunks of apple in there with a definitive cinnamon presence. The caramel is drizzled over the top. It would go well with coffee or tea, particularly chai. There are other offerings here and if you see the cinnamon donuts, do not pass them up. 3.5 stars, but I am certain that could be revised upwards if I sample more of their baked goods.

I stopped in shortly before they closed to pick up a box of cookies to bring to said gluten free friends. I got a mix of the sugar cookies, chocolate chip and sea salt caramels. All are incredible and none give the slightest hint that they are made to be GF. Crazy moist (Oy, sorry if you hate that word, but they were MOIST), soft and flavorful. The sugar cookie stole the show for me but I don't think you'll find a cookie you don't like. They had so many lots of vegan options as well if that's something you're on the hunt for. It's super tiny inside and only 3-5 people can comfortably stand to order. We got a few cookies and were on our way! Their cookies are all in the ~$4 range which is pretty fair for these specialty flavors and good quality cookies. My favorites in order were the Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie, the Banana Pudding Cookie, the Matcha w White Chocolate Chip Cookie, and lastly, the Ube Cookie. The Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie was gooey, sweet, and decadent in all the right ways. I'm a sucker for banana so I very much enjoyed the Banana Pudding Cookie. You taste actual banana! This is 10x better than the one Magnolia Bakery has! The Matcha w White Chocolate Chip Cookie had a gentle bitterness/umami flavor that was offset by the sweetness of the white chocolate chips. The Ube Cookie was also good but surprisingly the ube didn't shine through as much here. All in all, you will not have a bad bite here and it's all a matter of preference. So glad I finally stopped by!

For food I tried the La Rustica sandwich, which has proscuitto, stracchino cheese and truffle cream on homemade bread. The bread was great and I could've had just that. Decent amount of proscuitto however the price ($16) justified that. Cheese didn't do much for the sandwich, as it was outmuscled by the proscuitto and just added a touch of cream. Truffle was similarly lost. All in all could do better, could do worse. Donut bites, on the other hand, were freaking money. Got 3 of the ones with custard and should've gotten a dozen. That made the place itself. Lots of other interesting things here worth trying. Wish I could a sandwich with mozzarella as there were plenty of others that looked good too.
