I usually go to the Murrieta site, but I was pleased to find the same level of satisfaction by Bear Alignment and Brake in their Moreno site! I'm truck literally shut down on me and the Moreno Valley site was 3 miles away. I called, got scheduled and had a tow drop me off. It did not come with the hardware so I went on a hunt. Couldn't find it. Anyway.....they were able to obtain it called me to go back in. . I called to schedule an appointment today on the recommendation of America's Tire. Because we are in a pandemic that is out of control I asked Steven what Covid procedures/precautions were being followed. After a vague answer I asked if all employees are wearing masks. He seemed to hesitate when he said "yes." Since he wasn't volunteering anything I had to ask if customers were required to wear masks. He told me that customers are not required to wear masks - it's optional. Since there appears to be no interest in protecting customers who don't want to get sick or die, this company doesn't get my business. read more

I used to love this place, this was the only place I would go to even though I lived in Pomona, I would always make the drive. Last Thursday I took my car for a routine oil change. The service was okay nothing special, didn't feel like the staff really cared much, they were there to make a buck. A few days later I took an extended trip out to the desert. On the way back I had realized that my car was smoking and the oil light had came on will I was on the freeway. I managed to make it off on the nearest exit and had noticed all of the oil was draining out of my car. I was stranded for a couple hours at 3am until a tow truck came to save me. I took my car to another mechanic the next day to which they informed me that the drain oil bolt had fallen off! I couldn't believe it, I was just appalled by their negligence. Due to their poor mechanic experience, my life was put in danger. I will never come back to this shop again and I hope you'll do the same. read more

I had Bear do an alignment and oil change. Excellent service I have never been to a automotive service that actually cares about you and the quality of service they perform. So I was out of town had to change the oil at a different store after the oil was drained I was told that they couldn't get the oil filter off that who ever did it last time put it on to tight. I took it back to Bear told them the problem scheduled for next day in at 8am out at 8:20. They had no problem removing the filter and installing the new one. And they didn't charge me a penny. And the coffee is free also. read more

Take this with a grain of salt, since I came in with a Groupon. But I thought it was nice how they have a sign outside that welcomes the customers with appointments. The staff were really friendly. I chatted a bit with the mechanic who worked on my car and he gave me some extra tid bits on car care. They're all about minimizing paperwork, so you can get a text with a link to your full inspection and service. I hate losing paperwork in my glovebox, so that's a bonus for this shop. Looking at their prices: definitely better than stealership costs. Basically similar prices to other private shops. They always seem to have Groupon specials, so it's worth coming here for that. If you purchased bumper to bumper warranty for your car, they said to call them to see if they are contracted. read more

This is my 3rd time at this shop, I never had just bad customer service experience. I made an appointment, I arrived on time and was the only customer (first) of the day. As I walked in a few of their employees greeted me. I talked to the front desk employee Alexi who was very friendly, soon after I checked in, my car was sitting in the parking lot for 30mins. As I waited I check to see what was going on and noticed all of the bays were empty. A few of their staff were just standing around and chatting. I did noticed that someone else was cleaning the bays, so my I was "ok they are getting ready for the day" ok so if a business opens at a certain time, you would think they would be ready to go right as they open. As I sat their waiting for my car they finally took the car in after 30-35 mins. As soon as they took the car in it was no longer than 25mins I got my car back. As soon as I got home I called and asked for manager. As I talked to Chris I asked what's is the normal routine on a daily basis. I wanted to understand and give him the opportunity to explain why the car was sitting for 30minutes. And here is where he started with a lie " we had an oil truck delivery and it is blocking the bays" I saw the truck get their 35 mins after I got their. He then tells me "I don't know why we are arguing about we got the car within the hour that was stated" I told him I was never told it was going to take 1 hours. He never apologized and was used the truck delivery as an excuse. As a paying customer he didn't really seem to care what I had to say and simply just hung up on me. A simply apology would have been enough. Small businesses run off local customers, if you want their business please be more understanding. Put yourself in the customer's shoes. read more

Took my friend's car there for an alignment with my $59 Groupon deal, got the alignment done and the store manager told me that I needed $1700 worth of urgent repairs to have my rack and pinion replaced. So I took her car for a second opinion and found out that it was only a $45 part that was needed to replace a clamp! Lesson learned, beware ladies there are mechanics out there who will rip you off blind!! I am going to contact GROUPON AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!! read more

Horrible experience!!! I took my car in for an oil change and the only way I found this hole in the wall business is through Groupon..... they tried to tell me the oil change wasn't possible due to an overtightened oil plug that damaged the oil pan insert.... Which was complete crap! After they tried to overcharge me $600 for the pan and over 800 for the labor I decided to price check everything. I got a second opinion at jiffy lube the next day and besides the plug being tight they had no issues with the oil change.... Also I found multiple replacement oil pans online for a $100-300 price range but this mechanic was trying to charge me double ..... glad I didn't give them any of my money.... They didn't put the oil filter on properly which caused my vehicle to leak oil. Where to even start. This place is full of lies and dishonest employees starting with Alex the manager. We towed our car in due to it suddenly turning off while driving. Signed in the car at 8am and left.. at 1:30pm Alex called us and said he believed it was the timing belt and a spring quoted us about $750.. he said he would call us back.. never did.. we called the shop and it was closed.. that night I went to go check and found our vehicle in the parking lot exactly how we left it.. it was never moved to the back for a proper inspection.. keep it mind it's a very clean 2000 Honda civic, that can be stolen within minutes.. we were so upset that it was left outside.. the next morning we got there before they opened and the techs were pulling out cars from the garage, they even pulled out their loner vehicle and that was even more upsetting.. why didn't they leave the loner vehicle outside and put away our vehicle(the customers) made no sense. I asked one of the techs and he said he just popped the hood and looked at it and said it needed the 2 parts Alex told us about. When Alex got there we questioned it and he said they didn't get to it, but yet he said he ordered parts so we are a head.. how do you order parts without knowing the problem? Then I questioned why he didn't call us back and why he left the car outside. He said we would've been responsible and I told him responsible or not it shouldn't even get to that.. put your loner outside and ours in. Clearly they don't trust the area to leave their car outside.. long story short he told us they were going to look at the car take it apart and let us know.. (remember he said he already ordered the parts) so we stood there and were waiting for a while, they ended up pushing the car to the back.. we decided to leave, within 5 mins of leaving we get a call stating it's the headers, the valves and pins.. so we asked so you opened it? He said no I did online research and read it could be that.. then he said it would be $2,500. So from $750 it being the belt and spring it went to online research and $2,500 but he said the car would be fine after that. It made absolutely no sense to us, so we decided to take our vehicle else where. When it came to taking our vehicle out of the shop Alex told my husband the techs aren't pushing it all the way over there (in a parking stall in the front) he even giggled about it so my husband said don't worry I'll push my car.. so we did my husband and I and the 2 techs ended up helping.. not a big deal but so rude of Alex to say that.. and must I add the front receptionist is snobbish and wants the whole world to know her FIANCÉ is the manager of the other location. Says it numerous times.. nobody asked nobody cares, focus on work and not your personal life that nobody asked you about.. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, SAD THAT WE WERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS WITH THIS VEHICLE AND OUR OTHERS BUT DUE TO THIS WILL NEVER BE BACK. read more

First time appointment at Bear alignment was told to come in at 2:30. An hour and a half later my car was still untouched for service for an alignment job that should only take an hour. When I asked why, They simply said they had two people working. I said I understand but I had an appointment. What's the point of an appointment if I have to wait an hour and a half for my car to be serviced. They could've told me that they wouldn't touch my car for a few hours, I would've made other arrangements but there was no communication. I believe they prioritized larger jobs over mine. They will take your car and put you down for an appointment and disregard your time. Too bad, I have several vehicles but I won't be bringing them to bear alignment. Don't be fooled by a family owned business, They simply don't care. I suggest taking it to a place that has More Employees and a business owner that respects your time. read more

I just purchased new tires and wanted to get a 4 wheel alignment to make sure the tires wear properly. Called Bear Alignment and Brake in Moreno Valley and spoke with Brandon. He seemed up front so I decided to have them do the alignment. I was not aware of any issues but then an hour into waiting I was told my car needed front struts and rear shocks. I was NOT informed that the car would need an other alignment once I did get the struts replaced. Instead they proceeded with the wheel alignment which I paid. It was then I was told that my tires may wear out faster if the shocks and struts were not done. This was after they took my money for the alignment. Brandon say he would offer me a free alignment at no charge if I get the struts and the shock done at their shop. However the price he quoted me was 25% more than the other shops I called. They are a good shop just make sure you know all the details before you say yes and pay. read more
