Lunch was unique. Nice flavors. Service was friendly but took long to get our lunch. Very busy at lunchtime.

Amanda A., you are beating a dead horse here. As I said, I was in the business for a very long time. There are certain things you simply do not do if you want to build your business. One being never give your patrons the bums rush. Especially repeat customers who spend more money than most. What is your average take for a table of two for lunch? $30 maybe $40? Maybe $50? Well, I spent $100 including the tip. Is that a customer you want to lose? Especially with this lousy economy? Technically, according to your 'table time', that should entitle me and my girlfriend to three hours. As stated, there were open tables both in the back and in the front. This was not a Friday or Saturday afternoon. This was Tuesday and a birthday celebration. You ruined it. Second, I was born in Texas, lived and worked there for a time and I have NEVER said "Y'all". It's not quaint or cute. To Texans, it's ignorant. Similar to the true meaning of 'Bless your heart'! If you don't know that true meaning, do a little research. My opinion of you, your establishment, manager and that server will not change. I am done. I have watched quite a few restaurants here go out of business and it's mostly due to poor management. I see you headed for the same fate. This is a fickle town and news travels fast. Your bio is impressive but it appears you've lost your 'love for serving people'. Unfortunate. Maybe you and your help should take a refresher course. In this business you're a fledgling. With our tourist trade, you might make it a while longer but as I said, news travels fast. Such a great lunch spot! My husband and I went here for lunch and got a couple of warm paninis. The ingredients are all fresh and the owner is super friendly with great customer service. We also ordered an ice tea with some lavender in it and everything was delicious. There are tables around the cute food truck or you can take it to the park area but the court house. Hands down some of the most creative flavors you can put together on a sandwich to create an exquisite flavor. Your taste buds will thank you. The owner/operator is very nice and accommodating. My husband and I had dinner here and had mixed opinions. I had the mushroom bisque, which was outstanding, and the grouper special which was very good. My husband had the caesar salad, which he found average, and the shrimp and grits which he also found average. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the ambience. My husband had a Prescott IPA, which he liked, but was surprised that it was $13! We will try it again, probably sticking to more gourmet choices, though it took 4 weeks to get a reservation! read more

My wife and I had breakfast at the Bear and Dragon this morning. We both ordered the French omelet, which was incredible. It was light and delicate in flavor, with a great topping sauce. Their drip coffee was rich and flavorful. Our waitress Tiara was friendly and quite professional, and the general ambience of the cafe was wonderful. We'll be back! read more

Stopped here for early morning coffee with my girls and puppy and couldn't be happier I chose this place for my coffee fix. The coffee is amazing like really really good and on top of that the woman making my coffee was very friendly and kind. absolutely, hands down, the very best restaurant in the prescott area. I was there for dinner last night and lunch today. Such a classy place and yes, there is a wait, but it's so worth the wait. Stunning hostess, beautiful and very classy older lady who is the sister to the owner and watches out to make sure customers are completely satisfied. Owner is in Kitchen due to the loss of a chef and she is an excellent cook. I give this restaurant excellence and I rarely will give a review unless well deserved. Been a fan for breakfast since it has been open, but the last couple of times we have eaten there we have felt EXTREMELY rushed. We are always cognizant of not tying up a table too long so the restaurant and server can turn it. I am not a fan of a waitress clearing plates as some of us are still eating. Sometimes a person likes to pause for digestion before they finish the remaining food on their plate and they are not finished yet. The last time we ate there our food was out in less than 5 minutes and they cleared the entire table while our elderly guest was still in the middle of his meal. We got Steinbecks and for the first time our eggs were under cooked (translucent) and the sausage was burned on one side x2 plates. We invited him to breakfast to catch up a little since we had not seen him in a while... Sadly, B&D has turned out NOT to be a breakfast restaurant we would invite friends to if we plan to enjoy having a meal with someone. It is a turn & burn restaurant lately. Maybe since the weather is getting cooler, they will have the space to accommodate more people and not have to rush customers out to rapidly turn their tables - it was a little unreasonable. Refused to deliver dessert even after order taken - closing up kitchen - in short order the kitchen seems pretty good, and the staff are sweet. The manager/owner is another matter all together - he makes the place over priced and an unpleasant experience. BTW the vegan claims come with a pick pinch of salt. read more

We had dinner at The Bear & Dragon, It's a cute, but very small restaurant, maybe 15 tables, and our soup took a while to come out. We were sitting 45 minutes before our entrees came out. They have a very limited menu, and as soon as we sat down, our server said they were out of the mushroom soup, and also their gnocchi's, as the mushroom soup is the base for that dish. When I asked how can they be out of their popular soup, she said "it takes a long time to make". Huh?! We both had their only other soup, which was a potato based soup, which needed salt desperately. Once properly salted, it was good. I had their Halibut dish, sautéed spinach with blistered tomatoes, but the fish was a bit dry, no lemon was served, and it had a gremalata, which wasn't enough. Desperately needed a sauce. Dad had the chicken pot pie, which was good. The menu on their website was different, which she agreed they should do a better job of maintaining. Not sure we'll go back for dinner, as too many other good restaurants in Prescott. read more

I cannot describe what a pleasure this establishment is to patronize. The attention to detail and quality of food, drink and customer service is impeccable. Nestled right across from the courthouse it's a welcome side quest to any trip to downtown Prescott. The warm inviting wood tones of the shop give it a down to earth ambiance that is reminiscent of the old general stores. I go out of my way to cross town on my work breaks just to grab a latte or a sandwich. I have only one complaint, or perhaps a suggestion. I am not able to patronize this business as much as I would love to as it is not a brick and mortar store with operating hours from say, 6am to 6pm. If this were the case I would likely be there just to hang out, have business meetings/lunches or just stop in more frequently for a quick coffee or a bite! Of course I understand expansion isn't for every business and each phase of growth must be carefully measured and can only happen when the timing is right. But a guy can dream! read more

Our party of four went there last Thursday night. We have had reservations for 3 weeks and we were very excited about eating there. When we first arrived the manager checking us in stated they didn't have our reservations. After checking elsewhere she found it and we were seated in the Hobbit room. Neither hear nor there, but there wasn't a single hobbit " like thing"about the room. Our waitress came and took our order. Already two items were removed from the list because they ran out. We got our drinks and waited for over an hour. When our waitress finally checked on us, she asked how everything was and we told her we were hungry. She left to check on our order. A few minutes later the manager came to the table and said that there was a mix up somehow and our dinner order was never put in. She said she would put a rush on it, but now they were out of the salmon that we ordered and had to pick something else. We were very hungry and frustrated. We asked for some bread and she brought back a tray with bread and cheese and nuts. After another 15 minutes there was still no food so we left. On the way out our waitress asked us if we wanted our food to go, and we said what food? We ended up at In and Out for dinner at 9:00 at night. So disappointed! read more
