    Croissant

Wasn't sure what time it opened, walked and got there around 7:40, and there was a line for when it opened at 8. Got two pastry's the bear claw and a special- maple ham and Greer Croissant. Prices were kinda crazy- the bear claw was $11. And the special most of been around 10 cause in total it was like $22.50. The croissant was good, the fillings were great. The bear claw was disappointing because it was filled with chocolate chip cookie and you couldn't taste the flaky bear claw cause it was strongly overpowered by cookie which made it too decadent and super heavy. When I took the cookie out the bear claw itself was awesome. Since I just got pastry's they came out super fast, good service

This breakfast spot has to have the absolute best everything bagel I've ever had. Like their model of ordering and picking up outside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank goodness for nice weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Downside for a coffee and breakfast spot, they don't open until 8. When visiting Bolton Landing I was there for a conference so had to be in session typically by 8 but was walking by before 7 and between 7-8. Everything I did get to try was just absolutely the best!

For MDW my family traveled to Bolton to stay with relatives. It was so nice exploring the town, but we needed a caffeine break. Bear's Cup had just reopened for the season and so happy we got to try it! We ordered drinks including the cold brew, chai and a whipped espresso special. The bear claw was also a must try!

Egg sandwich and my Gluten free bread was not toasted, Idk why you wouldn't toast it? Oh well.

Kids loved it, want to go back tomorrow but for 3 people $75 breakfast! Ouch! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's take out only, but they have some tables and chairs on sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had one GF bread, one GF banana bread (I'm allergic otherwise I would have tried it), many croissants and bakery items.

Good NY pizza. Crisp, thin crust. $5/slice with topping. $4/slice plaincheese only. There are shakers of Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes and garlic powder. Friendly, prompt service. 5% cash discount. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoor seating is typical simple sub shop; nice that they have a few 2-person tables outdoors on the sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Northern Lake George area that is more outside of the chaos of the downtown. You can order at their outside window or eat inside and try their brunch. They also have a pizza restaurant that opens later in the day. We ordered breakfast from their outside window. They are expensive, for 2 pastries, a breakfast sandwich and 1 coffee we spent $50. The bearclaw pastry was large and tasty, the lemon blueberry scone lacked the hype. Their breakfast sandwich on their bagels were fresh and very cheesy. Another party in our group ordered the cinnamon bun which was actually more a ball of fried dough rolled in cinnamon sugar than a cinnamon bun and it was really small and a disappointment.

    The Bolton turkey sandwich

First time at Lake George left a bad taste in my mouth. After waiting on the street for them to pass our order through a window, we took our "The Bolton" sandwiches to eat on our boat for lunch. When we unwrapped them we found the least amount of turkey you could legally put on a sandwich and still call it a turkey sandwich (see picture)! To add insult to injury when I reviewed the receipt that was emailed to me I noticed that the price was higher than as stated on their website and I was surprised that I was upcharged for having it on bread. $18 a sandwich was way too much to pay for this interpretation of a turkey sandwich.

Pastries are so so good! Any of their sandwiches are great on their everything croissant. Muffins make us keep coming back. Service was great!

I haven't given a 2 star review in awhile. The bear claw alone is 4 stars. It was great, super buttery and flakey and filled with chocolate. A little greasy on the bottom, but still delicious and I'd come back for that. Everything else was blah down to the service. 2 bagels (1 a BEC, the other lox with cream cheese, a bear claw, cold brew and chocolate milk was $53!!!) the guy taking orders didn't even look at me while I was ordering. Bizarre. They accept cash, but don't give you back change. *side eye* I asked for a sesame bagel and got a plain bagel. Cream cheese wasn't spread out. Lox was good. Bagels were on the smaller side and were just ok. (I'm comparing these to Long Island bagels.) The BEC was cold, cheese wasn't melted. I had high hopes for the place because of the reviews, but ultimately I wouldn't come back.

I was very happy to see a section in the fishing area devoted to Hinckley spoons, including the renowned 88's which, to me, are the best lures for attracting lake trout. Crossroads also sells live bait. Their worms have more squirm, and their shiners are finer. Prices reasonable. A smallish breakfast area, but their sandwiches are eggggcellent. Even gas prices, considering Crossroads is a bit off the beaten path, are comparable to the Stewart's on rte 8. And my friend, Locomotive Breath, who never passes up an opportunity to patronize a bathroom, says the men's room is clean and the "bathroom tissue" (toilet paper) is 2-ply! We always visit Crossroads when in the area. Highly recommend! 5 stars!

Visiting the Maple Reserve was on my list of places to go while in Vermont this weekend. Touristy?…read moreYes. Worth it? Heck yes! Stopped in on Saturday midday thinking I was going to get a latte and maple creemee. However when I get there, I saw some guys drinking beers at the bar which piqued my interest so I took another look at the menu. Why not get an Affogatotini? Caffeine and a maple creemee all in one! This was DELISH! The girls that work here are so nice. I visited twice in the same day and both times this place was swamped. They took it in stride and still had a smile on their face while working through the line. The Maple Reserve offers ice cream / creemees, coffee, pastries and serves alcohol. They have a little area where you can also buy pure Vermont maple syrup, jams, sauces, small kitchen accessories, etc.

I saw one woman chilling on her laptop who had bought 3 things for herself: a cup of ice cream, some sort of cocktail, and a boba drink. She looked like she was loving life. Made with espresso from locally roasted coffee beans, the affogato with maple creemee was absolutely divine. They drizzled more maple syrup atop the creemee. It wasn't too sweet and just perfectly creamy, as the name suggests. I was pleased to see that there were many gluten free options, including the waffles, which come on sticks like popsicles. Would make the 3 hour trip just to try those one day. The Maple Reserve is definitely Aya-approved.
