We had dinner at The Huddle tonight & had a very bad experience. We could have dealt with the lack of flavor on the garlic Parmesan wings as an appetizer, but 2/4 entrees we ordered came out cold. One entree was the crab cake, which was mostly filler and not crab, and came out so cold it was inedible. The second was the Baja fish tacos, which were cold and chewy (we also ordered them with fries which we never got). When the waiter came to check on how we were doing we let him know we were unhappy and he said he would get a manager, which he never did, and just brought the check. We asked for the manager to come over & he didn't apologize or offer a solution to rectify the situation he just kept saying "I hear you, I understand". Finally, when we asked him what was going to be done about the situation he said "I'll take half off of the bill", so we handed him the credit card with the original bill. He came back, gave us back our card and the new bill. The new bill did not have half taken off, it had half taken off of the two entrees we had an issue with. As we got up, the waiter came running over to say "we didn't run your card that's just the new bill". Overall, the food wasn't good but the service and management is what was worse. The manager was very dismissive and not helpful at all. I would steer clear of this restaurant at all costs ! read more

We stopped at Huddle while spending the day in Bolton Landing. We've been here several times before and have always enjoyed it, so maybe today was just an "off" day. We were seated on the covered porch, which was nice, but even in the shade it was pretty warm. It was a busy holiday weekend, so we expected a little extra waiting. Our server took a bit longer than usual to get to us, but once she did, the drinks came out fairly quickly. The food took quite a while, though again, the place was packed, so we understood. The shrimp appetizer was absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal! The rest of the food was good, but a little more average than we've experienced here before. Overall, Huddle is still a nice spot with a great location, and we'd certainly come back. Holiday weekends are no joke, and it seemed like everyone in Bolton Landing had the same idea we did! Hopefully they'll be able to keep up with the summer crowds a little better next time--and maybe convince Mother Nature to turn down the thermostat, too! read more

The Huddle used to be the lunch staple we looked forward to every year. Now under new ownership, we were really disappointed. The menu is EXTREMELY limited for lunch with many options only available at dinner, including some salads which seems odd. The smash burgers were huge and not smashed at all, and the fries needed salt. They did bring us a round of complimentary drinks due to the very long wait time for our food but then charged us for way more sodas than we ordered. Sad to say it's unlikely we will be back. read more

What a great place! Stopped in on a Thursday night for drinks and a snack and were greeted by live music and seated right away. It's such a cute place and service was excellent. I ordered one of their margarita specials and it was so tasty! The pour was not light either, which I really appreciate, and definitely a homemade mix. We were a party of ten, and we were seated outside of the bar area, which was appropriate. The service was good, but I can't say the same for the food. Overall disappointing. The fish tacos were made of two tacos containing a salad and a small fried triangle of fish. The prices I thought were high. While on our most recent trip to Lake George, we decided after a day at the beach to go and visit Bolton Landing for a meal because we have always had good meals in this town. Upon arriving, we realized that there was immediate seating for our party of eight and we decided to go in after checking the menu. Water came straight away and the hostess and the waitress who came and served us at our table were very friendly and offered a drink menu and a list of beers available on tap. We started with some beer and some cocktails from the bar and that seemed to take the edge off of a long and hot day at the beach//among other things that we ordered were the Huddle shrimp special and the ceviche done as a meal Also, they were kind enough to bring out the children's food first that made it easier for the adults to relax and unwind. As entrées, we ordered the French dip and the fish tacos and both tasted very good. In addition we had also ordered a warm lobster roll that was enjoyed by at least two parties in our group. None of the meals that we ordered were super fantastic, but they were all very delicious and good and although there were no standouts, we enjoyed our time together and appreciated the service that came by frequently to check on water bottles and also see if there was any need for additional cocktails Good quality food at respectable prices would have us return on any future visit to the area read more

I ended up coming here to meet a friend for drinks and ended up staying for the food and service. I sat at the bar and was able to order food there. The bartenders were very friendly and prompt. I started with hot wings and drinks, not knowing I'd be staying for an entree. That ended up being Rotisserie chicken with vegetables. The hot wings weren't that hot, but had good flavor. They had Buffalo Trace at a reasonable price and generous pour. This was a very pleasant experience with great drinks, food, and service. Remember to tip well. read more

It's almost unfair to review a place right at the beginning of the off season. Much of their staff has left to go back to school...and they are working through figuring out their fall menu...regardless...we were there. I have to say that the service, despite it being busy with less staff was really very good. The folks working there were very friendly, didn't ignore us and kept us as happy as they could. Kudo's to staff for banging out a good service when they don't have enough bodies to pull it off at the time. Food, unfortunately wasn't great. A mushroom Ravioli with a short rib, red wine bordelaise tasted like it came out of a frozen bag...presented nicely on the plate and had a nice portion size though. Really salty. Pasta properly cooked though. The burger was overcooked and dry. My guess is during the real season everything is better.. and they probably should limit their menu for the off season to the hits. We came here for brunch with a big group in the winter. It was so cozy I could have stayed for hours. The food was good, standard American fare and everyone was satisfied with their meals. There were both breakfast and lunch options available which we liked. We had a bunch of kids and they liked the kids meal options and got crayons etc to stay occupied. I would definitely come here again. Prices were a bit high especially since the town is empty in the winter. A great experience here for us. We will definitely be back! Here are highlights: socially distant outdoor seating, amazing jumbo lobster roll, really flavorful fish tacos, friendly and accommodating staff. Some things we noticed to work on: grilled chicken for my little one was a bit dry, we asked for the rotisserie chicken option and it seemed like it was microwaved. Young waitstaff kept bringing out orders that weren't for us. It was actually quite funny. The fish special noted a honey sriracha flavor. Ours was dry, but all the toppings held it together well. Food is pretty bad. Fish sandwich was just mush between soggy buns and overly garlic mayo. Could not taste whatever fish it was supposed to be at all. Not sure why the reviews complain about the staff because they were nothing be prompt and polite. We were getting ready to head home and stopped in for brunch. Greeted by a friendly server that took us right to a table. First of all, it's brunch so mimosas are a requirement and they are made with fresh squeezed orange juice. I could have a handful of those. Meh. I used to love this place but it seems to have fallen in terms of quality. It was fairly busy for a Tuesday when I went to grab dinner with a couple of friends and their two kids here. I got a Moscow mule which was definitely one of the worst I've had. I got the artichoke app which was actually delicious but it was 4 - halves so 2 artichokes lol for $16. Like settle down. I then got the rosas pasta which was TASTELESS. Absolutely zero flavor. It was I think $26. A total waste of money for flavorless food. I won't be going back. read more

Many restaurants in Bolton landing take reservations. Huddle didn't and had an hour waiting list as did otters . That said, we were seated after 35 minutes which was great.
