After doing some research we decided it'd be a better value to do the big bear lake tour. We had done the waivers online which made check in with Tracey super easy! Our tour was captain Paul which was very informative about big bears rich history. We had our 10 month old baby on the tour which he advised us we'd be getting wet in the front of the boat, we decided to take our changes and stay in front he then offered us some blankets to help keep us and our baby dry and warm which definitely came in handy! If you've never had a big bear lake tour I definitely recommend taking one at big bear Marina definitely learned a lot about big bears history!

We had such a great experience renting a boat from Pleasure Point Marina in Big Bear this weekend!…read moreWe brought my stepdad with us, and because he is elderly and uses a wheelchair for longer distances, we weren't sure how easy the experience would be. The staff went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable and included. When we arrived, they arranged a golf cart to take him from the car to the boat, which made a huge difference. He was able to walk onto the boat safely, and when we returned, they helped him get off the boat and provided the golf cart ride back to our car. Their kindness and willingness to help made the whole experience stress-free for our family. A special thank you to Canoe, who helped us with the boat and answered all of our questions. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. It's clear that this marina truly cares about creating a great experience for their customers. We did a 3 hour charter with 6 people. We first did the Zup board, which was a great introduction & had lots of different things you could do with it. We then did wake surfing, which was challenging but so fun. Then wakeboarding, which was awesome as well. Not only are they the most affordable option, they offer pet friendly pontoons. Our favorite to reserve is their standard 6 person pontoon boat. For a one hour rental, it is $95 plus $20 for fuel. One hour on the lake will go quickly though, so I definitely recommend renting for a 2 hour minimum- especially if you wish to do some fishing. A one hour rental I'd recommend perhaps for a quick sightseeing drive lunch around the lake (food and drink is permitted onboard). Either way, Holloway's Marina is our recommended go-to for a fun, affordable, pontoon boat rental on the beautiful Big Bear Lake.

Im not quite sure but I do believe they have a fee for parking. I could be wrong. It's the lake so there's little sandy spot where people lay out and fish. Not a wide stretch but pockets here and there. The boat launch area is quite big so it roomy which obviously it's the point. We didn't see any boats being launch but a lot of people getting in and off of kayaks from it. Most people were out having picnics, there's benches situated here and there looking out to the water. The view was beautiful with the mountains and ski slopes in the background. As well as all the lake front properties. Tons of people out and about enjoying the water in jet ski , kayak, some sailing and boat tours. Like mentioned, pockets of beaches here and there with people laying out and fishing. It was a bit windy but still nice out enjoying the view. It's a beautiful place for boating, beaching, fishing and picnics. If it's not busy, you'll get lucky with a spot in the sand.
