They showed up an hour late, two of my stairs were broken, my bed was improperly assembled and my television was cracked. I thought that because they are insured they would fix the damages but instead they took my money and ghosted me. This is the second time I used them, first time was great.... second time absolutely horrible. Took them 6 hours to move basically a1 bedroom apartment that they moved me into and only took around 3 hours. They sub contracted it out this time (if I would've known it wouldn't have used them) the movers were kind at first then they started complaining and saying how they had ways to increase what customers pay by moving slower and wrapping everything not to mention they made my apartment smell like pot. I wasn't going to leave a review because I was giving them a chance to make it right after I complained about the time it took, he said they needed time to figure some stuff out. The owner/ manager of this place was the rudest person I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with. Instead of addressing our concerns of our missing fire arm he decided to just raise his voice over my wife while on a three way call. His company stole a gun from and now we have to get the police involved. Instead of offering a resolution he kept over talking and basically calling her a liar. He kept rambling about his reviews and instead of offering a solution. I had to ask him not to talk to her like that and let her voice her concern. I runs business on a much larger magnitude and if spoke to a client especially a woman I would have the media here the next day!! I am very dissatisfied and will pursue this matter through the courts!! Not to mention that he tried to get friendly with my wife while I was at work!! After we had to get the police involved!! Not typically a person that writes reviews but my wife hired this company. They stole her gun and treated her like a liar. When she knew exactly where her gun was but it did not arrive to the new address. Now we have file a police report. The manager was on a three way call with us was very unprofessional and continuously talked over her elevating his voice arguing with her instead of listening to her concerns. He had horrible manners and I had to ask him not to talk to my wife in that manner. Questioning her integrity. I was very upset. The management staff at this company is horrendous. He kept on saying he makes too much money to steal and his 5 star reviews while completely ignoring us. Very sketchy business tactics. Find someone else that actually respects women. If I could give zero stars I would. We will pursue this matter through the courts!! Not to mention the fact that he had the nerve to try to get friendly with my wife while I was at work and asked her to befriend him!!!! Loading a moving truck. My $150 desk was broken in my move and I immediately informed them about it, sent proof of purchase and damage. I have not heard anything from anyone regarding the reconciliation in 3 weeks and I have called, texted and left a voicemail. I don't appreciate the lack of communication. read more

I received QUALITY service, and the staff were quick. Great pleasant people, well coordinated and smooth work. Moved 4 bedrooms and an full garage with furniture in a decent time and the furniture was rapped no damages. Thank you Bearded brother's. read more

About 45 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, we called the dispatcher to find out why the movers hadn't arrived and we were told one employee didn't show up for work. While we completely understand that an employee's failure to show up for work can impact your company's ability to service its customers, we were not informed of this absence and delay until well after the scheduled arrival time. As such, we were unable to modify our existing freight elevator booking at our new complex. Now, 2 hours late, the guys finally showed up, (no apology) and got to "work". They could not have moved slower. As was obvious from our final bill, their workers work by the hour and are more than willing to slow-pace a job in order to increase the hours worked. Our one bedroom apartment (which took a prior moving company with two workers less than 1.5 hours to move, ALSO WITH NO ELEVATOR) took your movers over 2.5 hours to load into their truck. All of our boxes were already packed and there were only a handful larger pieces of furniture to move; in fact, we weren't even fully emptying the apartment. (I emphasize the point about the elevator because that was Marcus' excuse for our 6-hour move.) We finally get to our new complex, but right at the end our our 2-hour reservation for the freight elevator. As such, the movers were forced to share the freight elevator with another tenant moving in, significantly delaying the unload process for us, and that other resident. Again, they were moving so slow, sometimes only bringing up 1 or 2 small boxes at a time on the dolly. Since they had to share the elevator, it would be at least 20 minutes in between trips. I even overheard our movers talking about watching the other movers struggle for 20 minutes trying to fit their couch in the elevator. They clearly forgot we were paying for them to sit there and watch. The complex manager reported to us that at one point, she found our movers simply sitting in the cab of their truck checking their phones rather than moving our items. This was simply unacceptable. Bottom line: Marcus tried to blame this 6-hour move on the fact our old apartment didn't have an elevator. It did not have an elevator but when we moved in, the 2-man crew that moved us did it in an hour less time than the Bearded Bros. The movers showed up 2 hours late, causing us to arrive at our new complex at the end of our 2-hour elevator reservation. Had the movers shown up on time, the truck would have arrived at our new complex 2 hours earlier, exactly the time we scheduled for the freight elevator. When it came time to sign the paperwork, one of the employees said to just sign it and they will discount us for all of the time they wasted. In good faith, we did that but received a VERY minimal discount. Do yourself a favor and use literally any other moving company. read more

Found this company on yelp, and chose them to do my local (Houston) move from house to storage units after doing my due diligence and research on lots of moving companies. Bearded Brothers had wonderfully competitive pricing for three very polite, hard-working men, and a big 26' truck. Major points here: this moving company is a local, woman-owned business that employs awesome veterans: heck yeah on both of those fronts!! So into it! I was moving about 200 boxes of collectible books, another 100 tubs/boxes of miscellaneous fragile stuff, and like 10-12 pieces of big, very heavy, antique furniture (family heirlooms). The guys took care to wrap and move my stuff, which gave me some piece of mind during a hectic time. A couple of my very heavy items shifted during transport causing some damage to a couple of my plastic tubs and book boxes, but honestly I blame that on crappy houston roads... I contacted the owner about this though and she offered to credit me some time from the move to compensate for the damage, which was very nice. My three lovely movers were Alex, Kelly, and Marcos, and I would definitely work with them again! Win-win all the way around! read more

Last summer, my wife and I moved across town to the heights area. The staff was pleasant and owner was as well. We were assured that our belongings were in great hands. This was our first move hiring movers. Little did I know... Unfortunately, the movers managed to scratch every expensive piece of new furniture we had just purchased from Gallery Furniture, which included our book shelf, head board, armoire, solid wood live edge kitchen table. They event managed to put a hole through my rolling Milwaukee toolbox , where they torqued it against the side of their moving truck while moving. To make matters worse, the movers ended up putting holes in two places in sheetrock in our freshly painted home. In no case, did the movers point out damage. They tried to hide their mistakes. Our move was eventually discounted but it pales in comparison to the thousands we spent on our furniture and repairs. This was the worst moving experience. Buyer be ware. read more

Reply for quote was fast too. Movers very quick on day of move. I had an electric jug broken. Was told that I will be refunded. Even after over a month, the cheque didn't arrive. After following up, I was told it will arrive in a few days but it didnt. Then I was told it would be refunded to the credit card used for the move. Somehow it's changed cheque again but didn't happen, yet or not going to. Disappointed and don't really recommend. read more

The one thing I haaaate about moving is having to crack a whip over the movers while they try tun up the clock. I never felt that way with these guys. Super professional, respectful of my possessions (if I wrote "fragile" they handled it individually and set to the side so didn't get crushed), and they put the beds back together free of charge! We called Bearded Brothers on extremely short notice for our move. We thought we could do the move ourselves, but got very overwhelmed in the process. Marcus took my calls and emails after business hours and was willing to make it happen for us. While I was at work on moving day (lucky me, right? :)) the movers and my husband knocked out moving things from our apartment in Midtown in a morning/early afternoon and it was great! I came home after work (2pm) and the two movers (sorry, don't know their names) and my husband were at the new house unloading items extremely quickly and efficiently. We have some heavy items, so massive kudos to everyone who helped! We'd 100% recommend them to anyone who needs moving help! read more

They called the day of my move and said ALL of their drivers had COVID but said she was picking up a truck and her son would move me. They were super late and it was a lady and her daughter in a massive uhaul truck. They were super late and her daughter was scared of elevators so she could not really help move anything (I lived on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex. Her son had a terrible attitude and my boyfriend and him ended up moving all the heavy stuff. Her and her daughter just wrapped the furniture and helped move it to the elevator. They dropped my couch and I saw the entire sleeper bed in the hallway of the apartments. They also scrapped my bed and furniture. They were nice people but it as the worst moving experience ever. I wish they would have cancelled. I was not going to leave a review because they were nice but now that I am moving again and looking for movers and have talked to others they have said I'm doing a disservice to the public not to post about this. They only took a minimal amount off because it took all day to move me and they had to pay to rent the truck but if the professional movers had moved me it would have taken the estimated amount of time (it was a 1 bedroom apt) which was way less than they ended up charging me. So even with the "discount" I was charged significantly more than I was originally quoted and me and my boyfriend were moving over half the stuff. It was a nightmare. It is a nice family but make sure you have professionals moving your stuff if you choose to use them. read more

Omg. This moving company is amazing. I've had bad experiences with movers in the past. They try to overcharge. Or change the price. Or they are just slow and lazy. Bearded brothers moving is not them!!! They took care of me. Got me out of my apt to my new home with no problem. I was charged for two men movers. But the owner and her daughter came to help. So it was actually like 4 movers! They wrapped everything to make sure no damage was done. And they even moved my HEAVY ASS COUCH with no extra charge. Trust me. If you need moving services. From the beginning Marcus went above and beyond with customer service he was prompt answering my questions and setting up the move. This is the first time I've had anyone move me so I wasn't sure what to expect. On the day of the move the truck wasn't working so I received a message from Michelle letting me know they would be arriving in a uhaul and be a little late but I wouldn't be charged for that. They showed up and were very nice and they got to work shrink wrapping and loading. The whole move took a little over 2 hours and it was a great experience! I was extremely busy at work the week I had to move and was scrambling to find good, affordable movers before my move out date. Marcus was very responsive and helped me get set up with 2 movers at the last minute. The movers were on time and moved my stuff so quickly from a townhouse into a one bedroom apartment. They were careful with everything, nothing broke, not even my coffee table that was already falling apart. They were very careful with it and everything else. They were so fast and helpful, carrying multiple heavy boxes, bags and other items at one time. I will always hire movers for all my future moves, and Bearded Brothers is my first choice! The two guys Marcus sent were awesome! I think their names were Tony and Lee. Also, they were not ugly, lol. Marcus the owner is nice and responsive but be warned that the 3 guys who show up will be of varied quality. The 3 that we had were hardly professional, very lazy and provided no packing assistance as originally negotiated with the owner. They are there to only carry boxes and don't really do that in an efficient manner. I would look elsewhere if you want true professional movers. read more

I recently moved and they did the moving for me... I pay for 3men crew but in the end they where two showing up, Mark explain everything and even charge me for a two men instead of the 3, what I like is that everything is very profesional from the first time you contact them till the end, I sign a contract two nights before and the same day of the moving I Mark was constantly calling to make sure everything was ok. The moving process was not as quick but I guess because the where only two guys, but so far the guys where very nice and took proper care of each box and furniture for me. This is the first time Ive ever used professional movers and it what well worth the money, which was much less than all other competitors quotes I got. The guys were right on time and busted there butts all day long. Half way through the move I reallized that all of our stuff wasn't going to fit in their truck, believe me we tried, dont think it could have been packed any better or tighter.
