I had the chicken sandwich for Lunch and it did not disappoint. I added broccoli for my side. The staff was quite attentive and the manager Mark came by to check on us . I see myself there a couple of times a week, TVs everywhere, I will be back!

Came here for lunch not just for beers this time Great staff and service. The burgers were huge and filling and I tried some different beers this time. I had the mushroom Swiss burger. My fiancé had a burger with bacon on it it loved it. And the pimento bacon fritters are a must!

El Gringo Burger, the best I have ever had in my whole life.

We were in Macon for lunch on our way to the ATL airport. The place we wanted to eat in dt Macon looked SUPER busy so we walked over to Bearfoot and randomly decided to give it a try. Oh.Em.Geee. I dream about the El Gringo burger I had there. I recommend it to anyone I know who mentions Macon. Grits. On a burger. With spicy sauce. Swooon. In general, I'm cool with my mom moving out of Georgia but legit sad I will not have an excuse to be in Macon and eat this amazing burger. It really was THAT good. Unfortunately they didn't have a kids menu (3/2022) but my kid ordered a pasta dish from the regular menu and really enjoyed it. Service was kind, fast, and it was delightful sitting outside even though we felt like we were obstructing the sidewalk (there wasn't a fenced off area or anything). Highly recommend.

Fried green tomatoes with the addition of goat cheese. Really good.

Barefoot tavern has been around for a while. If I recall correctly it used to be in a different building. Restaurant is pretty spacious there seems to be ample seating. They opened early for the US world cup finals so when we arrived at 11:00 a.m. it was already very lively and the bar was full. Service was excellent! Rose was attentive and on top of her section. We never needed for anything and she is so bubbly and sweet. We tried the buffalo chicken soup which was a special of the day. I would get this again. There was tons of chunks of chicken and it tasted exactly like buffalo chicken dip in soup form. Always go for the fried green tomatoes when in middle Georgia. However, I would absolutely skip the pizza next time. Was not a fan of the crust at all! Overall a solid spot with a good menu and food.

Stopped in here to take a break and stretch our legs from a long road trip. We had our dog with us so it was a great perk that they have outdoor seating in the front and on a back covered patio that is all dog friendly. The waitress brought our pup out some water and was quick with taking our order. The back patio is cool, and although it was empty when we were there it features a bar and stage that I'm sure gets packed as a trendy beer garden. We had the medium buffalo wings (extra crispy) and the black bean egg roll. Both were good, but the chicken wings deserve an extra shout out because they were just right with spice and crisp.

The Garden area is super nice and highly recommended - perfect for private events or just to hang out with the band

The staff is great. The tented Garden out back is perfect for booking a private event or just to hang out with some live music.

Got the salad & it was a pretty underdone piece of salmon after asking for it well done. Asked the waiter why it wasn't blackened (out of curiosity) still ate it & called it good & told me we had to ask for it blackened. It was a very basic boring salad with a frozen piece of salmon for $20. My husband ordered a burger & fries. The burger was really good & he got goat cheese & bacon on it. The fries on the other hand were not it. Bummer because they are supposedly hand cut. They were drenched in oil. Like to the point that you couldn't even eat a few without feeling awful. They were soggy & heavy. Think homemade fries but in a super old fryer with lots of crisco. Overall very underwhelming for a place with such high reviews. Won't be back! Gotta step up it up if you guys plan to stay in business for another 50 years!

Tonight we made our way to The Social Goat in Covington, Georgia. Before we even get to the food,…read morethis is the kind of restaurant that has a personality all its own. Goat-themed artwork is scattered throughout the restaurant, including some fun paintings that immediately caught our attention. The atmosphere feels more like a cozy tavern than a traditional taco restaurant, with dark wood, booths, and a comfortable setting that invites you to settle in and stay awhile. One interesting piece of local history is the building itself. We learned that in 1906, this building housed an antique market. Think about that for a moment. If someone was selling antiques here in 1906, some of those "antiques" might have been from the 1800s. More than a century later, the building is still serving visitors, although these days the focus is tacos rather than antiques. Covington itself is worth mentioning. The city has become known as Georgia's Hollywood of the South, with more than 100 movies and television productions filmed here over the years. Fans of The Vampire Diaries and Sweet Magnolias will recognize many locations around town. If you're visiting the area, there is plenty to see before or after dinner. Our server for the evening was Jordan, who provided friendly service throughout the meal. The menu features eleven different taco varieties, which immediately created a dilemma. Narrowing the choices down to just three was not easy. We ultimately chose the Fried Fish Taco, the Philly Taco, and the Sesame Ribeye Taco. The tacos are available as a trio, allowing you to sample three different varieties on one platter. The meal also came with chips, salsa, and queso, making it easy to share and compare flavors. Let's start with the Fried Fish Taco because it ended up being my favorite of the three. The fish itself had excellent flavor and was cooked just right. The taco was topped with a sauce that brought a unique flavor to the experience, and the crunchy slaw added texture that worked beautifully with the fish. Every component contributed something to the overall bite. This was the taco that surprised me the most and ultimately earned the top spot in my personal ranking. The Philly Taco finished a very close second. If you're a fan of Philly cheesesteaks, you'll immediately understand the appeal. Loaded with shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, and cheese, it delivered exactly the flavors I was hoping for. It was rich, satisfying, and packed with flavor. Sometimes simple combinations work for a reason, and this taco proved that point. The Sesame Ribeye Taco was the most unique of the three. The sesame-soy flavor was bold and immediately noticeable. I enjoyed the flavor profile and appreciated that it took the taco in a different direction than what I typically experience. Rather than trying to imitate a traditional taco, it offered something distinct and memorable. Anyone looking for a creative twist on a taco will likely find this one especially interesting. One thing I appreciated about the trio platter was the opportunity to compare very different flavor profiles side by side. The Fried Fish Taco offered a balance of fish, sauce, and crunch. The Philly Taco delivered familiar comfort-food flavors. The Sesame Ribeye Taco brought a bold and unique flavor profile to the table. Each taco had its own personality, which made the comparison part of the fun. The chips were crisp, the salsa was fresh, and the queso provided a nice complement to the tacos. Combined with the trio platter, it was more than enough food for a satisfying meal. The Social Goat manages to be more than just a taco stop. Between the historic building, the goat-themed decor, the welcoming tavern atmosphere, and a menu filled with creative options, it offers an experience that stands out from the typical restaurant visit. If we return, and there is a good chance we will, there are still eight taco varieties left for us to investigate. The Social Goat Tavern 1115 Church Street Covington, GA 30014

The host are rude and misquote the wait times. Our server was friendly but EXTREMELY slow and incompetent. She came to our table a total of 4 times throughout the meal. Upon being sat, she didn't come to us for over 15 minutes and then we ordered immediately. The food genuinely took over an hour, and mind you the restaurant wasn't even busy at this point because they took so long to sit us. She kept lying about the food almost being out. Then, they brought two of the five entrees and didn't come back to the table for another 10 minutes. We could see in the open kitchen that many staff members were hooting and hollering, rather than running our food, which ended up being cold by the time it came out. Doing everything but their job. My Italian Grilled Chicken Sandwich was nothing special. I was so starving after the wait that anything would've been good, but it wasn't worth the high price tag. Other members of my party complained that their steaks were room temperature and also not as tasty as previous visits. The highlight of the meal was the S'more Desert, but that also took a VERY long time to come out. Like it came out at 10:15 PM and the restaurant closed at 10:00. The other clientele here are also very snooty and rude, which really throws off the vibe. Also PSA: They do not take cash. The waitress tried to laugh it off and didn't inform me, but just know that going in. I won't be back.

After a very long wait, our server came and brought water after 15 minutes. We were already so hungry and ordered our meals immediately. Sadly, the food took over an hour to come out. In the mean time, we were parched due to our waitress NEVER coming to the table. She was so kind but so slow. I had the Steak to eat and it was quite subpar. I've had it before and it exquisite, and tonight it was terrible. The food was also very cold because it was sitting in the kitchen window for so damn long. The only redeeming quality was the Smores Dessert. However, it also took over 20 minutes to come. If you want to dine here, do NOT come hungry and block out your entire evening as you will be here for upwards of 3 hours. I hope your chair is more comfortable than mine was. You know it's bad when there's many golf to play since you'll be there for so damn long.
