We are staying in downtown Louisville for a conference and visited this spot for dinner. Our waitress was nice, the selection is pretty good, and the prices are typical for a downtown urban area. We got a pizza and lasagna. The pizza was pretty tasty, thin crust, not too much sauce. The lasagna was ok - lots of cheese, sauce was a little sweet. Bread was ok. The decor in this restaurant is freaking awesome and features famous people of Kentucky.

Their food was ok. We ordered the salad which they gave us a good amount of dressing. The salad had a lot of raw onions. Their pizza was very undercooked. I had the cheese and it was nothing to go crazy about it tasted like frozen pizza. The bbq pizzas sauce got old fast. The service was fine we got a good amount of water and salad was fast but the pizza did take a wile but it was New Year's Eve so that is understandable.

I'd never heard of Louisville Style Pizza so had to try it. Did the Mama's Special. First off I love a round pizza cut into small squares. Crust was very good, sturdy and crispy. Toppings were basically combo and were very good. Loved the green olives and sausage. Tried the meatball app and they were solid covered in sauce (cheese for an up charge). Waitress was very nice and efficient. Definitely would be a regular if I lived here. Check it out.

We are in town for the weekend. The kids wanted some pizza. We had not tried this place before. What we got was an abomination. Nothing like the pictures online. We could not eat any of it. The kids would not eat it. I'm finding Yelp to be less and less reliable in the age of AI.

    Chicken Sandwich

All I ordered was one chicken sandwich for takeout. It took nearly 30 minutes and it looked like someone intentionally threw the lettuce and tomato outside of the sandwich. I will say the gentleman taking my order was kind and acknowledged that the food took a long time, but the service time was obviously poor and sandwich was mediocre at best.

Went to Bearnos last night for dinner and must say I was totally unimpressed. First off the waiter was great. Not sure if it was an off night but the 2 orders of baked wings came out still Ice cold in the middle. The pizza was just ok The pie crust was thin and crisp. Basically tasteless. Sauce and toppings were good.

So every time I come and visit Louisville, I try to find small little places that might have some great food. As I was walking the downtown area, I found Bearno's and I was totally impressed. From my friendly bartender/waitress to the food that I ordered, I loved every bite. The restaurant is in the basement of the corner building. The bar is totally cool and it has a Cheers feel. So I didn't know what a "Louisville Pizza" was until now. Award winning and just slightly different enough to be their own, the Louisville pizza is Da Bomb! I usually don't eat the crust... until now! Come and taste this wonderful culinary Masterpiece. Their servings are generous and their service is top notch. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town.

The pizza was thin crust and heavily layered with cheese and different veggies. The overall pizza was really filly and hit the spot. We got a medium and it was enough for 2 of us. The only complaints are that there were a lot of green olives and banana peppers which overwhelmed the taste. The prices are also on the higher end. The decorations are amazing and I love the decor in the store. There are so many autographed of actors and different athletes. Service was fast and friendly too.

What do you do when your late night munchies kick in but all you want to do is collapse at your downtown Louisville hotel room?! Call Bearno's! We ordered a medium pizza, half pepperoni and half cheese, plus breadsticks and a 2-liter of Coke. We were quoted a 45-min wait on delivery but it was closer to 20-min and delivered to the Galt House lobby. Our pizza was hot and delicious! Absolutely hit the spot after a long day.

Great pizza! We stopped in for lunch during a conference break, and the staff was very accommodating. Food came out in a reasonable time, drinks were refilled regularly, and the pizza toppings were generous.

We ate here on the 4th of July I would say the food was average. It wasn't exceptional but it wasn't bad.

Initially we were going to share a pizza but since they offered a 10 inch we both went our own way. Bestie ordered the Hawaiian & I chose the meatball. While noth pizzas were yummy, the meatball was clearly the better of both. The crust was seasoned perfectly and crunchy but not hard. The meatballs had a perfect flavor, moist and covered with cheese. I mean, how can you go wrong with cheesy meatballs? I also ordered a Tito's Island Punch and let me say, it packed a delightful, delectable & delicious punch! I'm a lightweight but it was so good that I almost ordered another one! They may be a chain but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of our food, our server Chelle (not sure if this is her correct spelling but she was perfectly lovely) and the price point. I would definitely dine here again.

Needless to say, corporate never reached out despite my attempting to contact them through the website. Find a different place for happy hour and dinner. I went to the restaurant during happy hour on a Wednesday evening. It wasn't very busy and I took a seat at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable and took my drink and food order. It was about 5:30 pm. More people came in and were seated at the bar. They ordered food and drink. I ordered another beer at 5:50 when the person sitting next to me got their order of wings that had been put it 10 minutes after mine. It took me 10 minutes to get the attention of the bartender and inquire about my food. She informed me that the manager would be bringing my food right out. During this time, the completely intoxicated person sitting adjacent to me, offered to sell me weed, coke or fentanyl. Great restaurant atmosphere. At 6:20, I was finally able to get the bartender's attention. I asked her to close out my check, and have the manager see me. She had a puzzled look on her face, and then noticed I hadn't received my food order. The manager arrived shortly thereafter. I informed him of the communication lapses between the bartender and the kitchen, and the food order that never arrived. I asked him to close out my check. When he presented me with the check I had been charged for the two beers and the food. I informed him of the error and said I would not be paying for the food since I never received it. He looked shocked and then corrected the bill. After I signed the check, I informed him that he could have done a better job in this situation by comping me a beer or offering to make things right. He just stared at me. Customer service 0. Food quality 0. Happy hour prices 10.

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

We arrived about 7 on Saturday night, it was busy, but we were able to be seated within 10 min. Amazing location with street parking available. Great selection of Bourbon and beers available, and a great menu. They offer 4 styles of pizza: thin, original, thick, and Sicilian. We went with original, and it was perfect crust, with a chewy edge. Louisville style is two layers of cheese and toppings, with a slightly thicker than thin crust. We loved it, but it's very filling. Lots of leftovers, which is never bad. We always get 16in to maximize our slice to pizza ratio. Service was fast and attentive, their pizzas do take longer than your average, but it was worth it. My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.
