8/6/2026 Tonight we had 20 Residents from Swan Pointe join Lonnie at Impellizzeri's Pizza. Our server tonight was Sean. He was very friendly and met us as we were seated and took our beverage orders. We usually have a pretty large group when we eat at Impellizzeri's. They have plenty of room for us to sit at the tables and not all scrunched up like at some restaurants. After he had everyone's drink orders, he went around and got everyone's food order. He did a great job according to me! I think almost everyone had already chosen what they wanted to eat, it seems most of us already have a favorite. My husband chose to have the Mama's Lasagna and it came with a bread stick. I had really been looking forward to have a Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. One friend had a large salad. Everyone else was going to order larger pizzas and share them. Sean had everyone's pizza ordered and it really didn't take very long before they were being delivered to our tables. I'd really like to brag on their staff for getting the pizzas out so quickly! They were beautifully made, cooked perfectly, and were delicious! Then I found out that the GM, Tim was helping out in the kitchen! Tim, thank you for having such a great staff! I was very happy with Sean as our server and I hope when my husband and I come back again, we can have him as our server. It was nice to see the owner, Benny again. He sure is a busy guy!! Really good pizza and I love that my family of 4 can agree on that statement. We're fairly basic on pizza, ordering extra cheese or pepperoni. Our last visit we also ordered the 10" cheese sticks - yum! Such a great start to our dinner. The meatballs were on special. Not a bad taste, but the texture was too soft for me. Our server was phenomenal. He checked on us a lot and we always had fresh drinks. Even more fun - the venue offered music bingo so the crowd was lively. Huge venue with lots of tables. We frequent this location on Thursday nights for trivia, but have never given it a review. It is consistently good - both the food and the service. They also offer $12-$14 64oz pitchers of domestic beers, which is a great price. We enjoy coming here and everyone is always friendly. We met up with a group birthday celebration. The waitress was amazing. There were 16 of us and she got all orders, drink refills, last minute adds and checks correct. Why the 3 stars? Well, the pizza just wasn't up to what I remembered. Crust was very bland and barely any sauce. So I asked for some garlic butter to help kick it up a notch and it helped but not tremendously. There was a lot of pizza left over so I don't think I was the only one with this view. If I go again, I think I will try the pasta. read more

It's a great weekend date experience It is spacious, feels like home, and definitely great service and delicious pizza. Desli is the best in servers and even knows our drink order each time we go. Takeout review - I love Impellizeri's! While the pizza is always great, I have to give a shoutout to the pasta as well! The lasagna and manicotti are both excellent! Great service, Anthony, was managing the bar both nights I went in, he was happy to change the numerous TVs to the Buckeyes game. His service and suggestions for both IPAs and food were spot on. Pizza good, lots of cheese, I would suggest asking for it well done based on my first encounter. All the staff are friendly and helpful at this location. The place is fairly large and has a family/restaurant side, as well as a bar side with numerous TVs for watching sports with a large projection screen behind the bar. They have karaoke on Tuesday and Thursday nights as well if that's your cup of tea. Overall good experience food, service, and vibe. read more

Impellizzeri's pizza is a local favorite here in the Louisville area that has grown to multiple locations. This particular location is one of there newer locations if not the newest one. It is in the Middletown portion off Louisville off blakenbaker parkway just off the freeway exit right where mellow mushroom use to be. This is a large location that has kept a lot of the inside designs of the previous tenant with the open kitchen, small arcade, nice large bar and huge TVs. So that was nice to see. Off memory I've only been to an Impellizzeri's location once. It was around 8 years ago at the location downtown across from the Yum center. I have a vivid memory of that day because we found out my wife was pregnant with our then 3rd daughter that day and attended two of my favorite artists growing up (George strait and Vince Gill) concert immediately after eating the pizza. So was a fun memorable day and off memory I think the pizza was good too. However I didn't really remember the pizza very much and as stated these locations are very popular in Louisville. So it was long overdue to try again. I was with my oldest daughter and 3 of her teenage friends the day after a sleepover for my oldest 13th birthday celebration. Upon checking in on yelp you get a free breadstick! So be sure to check in! The bread sticks were phenomenal. Best thing I tasted here. They come served hot and sitting in garlic butter so be sure to have napkins because they will get messy. We decided to get a large cheese and a large pepperoni pizza. 16 inch style. The pizzas themselves came thin crust style but had a good filling thickness to them. I'm a big cheese pizza guy but there cheese wasn't that great. Kinda bland and missing something. I can't quite put my finger on what. But it did not have a popular pizzeria taste to it. Nothing terrible but just very ordinary. The pepperoni was significantly better as the pepperoni had A nice flavor to it . But overall it was still just middle of the pact compared to other local pizza joints. Overall the pizza here wasn't as good as I remembered. As stated not terrible but nothing special to me personally. The breadstick were tasty and a nice surprise being free with a yelp checks in. I don't know why I rarely crave pizza BUT yesterday I did. I kept hearing people talk about how wonderful the breadsticks and pizza are so I sucked it up and drove to Louisville instead of being the lazy Mom and ordering delivery. I AM SO GLAD. This place is the shizzle ma dizzle!!! FYI if you check in on YELP you get a coupon for FREE breadsticks. These are the best and I mean THE best breadsticks you will ever sink your teeth in. They are huge!! The pillowy dough with the garlic butter brushed on it is pure happiness. If you can't smile while eating these you have serious issues. We moved to Kentucky 5 months ago and by chance stumbled upon this place because we love pizza. We asked our server what she recommended as far as bourbon , being from Cali knowing absolutely nothing about it. Our server said she knew very little and she called to the female manager who was clearing off a table near by . The manager came over asked us where we were from what kind of bourbon we liked, or had drank before, at which time I admitted we had never had it before, that we drank vodka, craft ipas and the occasional Fruity fun rum cocktails when we went out .. I told her that we really felt like idiots moving here knowing nothing about bourbon at all. The resturant was chaotic, loud and full of kids a typical Saturday night. She told us her name was Meegen, and she brought us our food which was 2 small pizzas each with one topping because we couldn't agree on what we wanted. She told us we should come back on Monday , that she worked all day as the manager and bartender, that the bar is pretty busy, but all regulars, and if we came in fairly early that she would do a bourbon tasting with us and teach us a little kentucky history about bourbon if we wanted . Who would pass on that kind of deal ? Beer is ten dollars in CA without pizza . Needless to say we fell in love with our pizza. So we came the following Monday and like she said the bar was pretty busy, everyone was super friendly, the guys next to us were in town for work and had never been there before but apparently the hotel they were staying told them it was the place to be on Monday nights. The guys on our other side ended up leaving with 3 pizzas a piece , one for every beer they drank. Every person that sat down at the bar introduced themselves to us and she knew what they drank and what they wanted , and we met so many nice people , being from LA we just arent use to that . Despite how busy the bar was she still found time to teach us about bourbon, how its made , where to go and the differences in the grains and sweetness as well as history about kentucky and even where the limestone in the water comes from along with how those minerals effect the flavor profile . We learned about the Appalachians , how they are connected to Scotland and what attracted the scotch Irish to kentucky in the first place and how the French fur traders influenced what we call bourbon today . Honeslty we have been on 3 bourbon tastings since that Monday and we're told by our tour guides we knew as much as them , all of which we learned from her . ​ We spent two weeks in kentucky scared to death that we had made a huge mistake, and coming in on Mondays has totally changed our minds about Kentucky . We have been 3 Mondays now and each time we go we see the same faces , and they remember us , such great service and the best conversations with some of the nicest people we have ever met . If you want great food , friendly faces, good conversation and amazing service from people who really care about their customers, you gotta check this place out. read more

On the hand the pizza was ok, the salad was decent. The pizza was medium thickness. There was a lot of cheese, a fair amount of mushrooms and peppers, not much sauce. It was warm-ish. Nothing special. For some odd reason they forgot the salad... and beverage, and fork and napkins. I'm at a hotel and made sure to request utensils. Calling to get to the rest of the order delivered, they didn't seem much to care of the issue(s). My call was handed over to a manager who said he'd bring the rest of my order to me. Salad and beverage arrived about 15 minutes later... still no utensils or napkins. Note, when you put special "instructions" on an order form you might want to apply them to the order. Folks, it's sad times when you pay twice as much for one pizza than you would at Dominos for two--and I could have order two one topping pizza, taken the toppings off one and piled it onto the other, and STILL come out ahead in every way. Sarah greeted us as we walked in and asked if I already placed my order. I had not so she gave me a menu. It was about 2PM and the lunch specials were not on menu, but she told me them. I got the sausage pizza with breadsticks and my companion ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and Italian sausage and a Caesar salad. It wasn't really busy inside. There were 4 tables with people at them and another had just left as I entered. The restaurant looks clean and spacious and would accommodate a large group. The bar in the back looks like a fun time, but we didn't dine in to be seated there. They gave large TVs around that were showing sports and other shows. The lunch ends at 3 and is only available Monday thru Friday. The Caesar salad was smaller then expected but everything else was delicious and great portion. read more

This is the Impellizzeri's location that I frequent the most, and I've had good experiences every time. The manager (or maybe owner?) is very friendly and always comes around the the tables and makes sure everything is wonderful. What keeps me coming back is 100% the breadsticks. They're dripping in butter... so obviously not the healthiest, but they are SO GOOD! I think their pizza is pretty decent too. I normally always eat the pizza, but I wanted to try something new the last time I was there. I ordered the balsamic chicken sandwich, and it was pretty dang good! read more

This is by far one of my favorite pizza places in the city of Louisville. Definitely top three for sure and I wish I was one closer to my house because I will probably be getting out every Friday if I could. That being said I love How cheesy and topping field their pizza is. It is very much filled with cheese one of the cheesiest places I've been to probably. It's always solid and always a homerun every time we usually get that large pepperoni pizza my daughters will pick the pepperonis off because they don't like it so I'll throw my mind so extra meat can't go wrong with that. Pretty good pizza from this Louisville staple. Has lots of indoor seating, a bar area, & a few outdoor tables. Cheesy bread was pretty good, but couldn't compete with the breadsticks. Hands down best breadsticks we've ever eaten! Comes soaking in a garlic butter tray with a side of marinara. There are a few specialty pizzas to choose from and you can also build your own. The chicken bacon ranch was just ok. The actual ranch wasn't my favorite, but the rest of the toppings and bake was good. We would probably try a different pizza next time. This place is a hidden gem! The pizza and beer selection are great, plenty of TVs to watch sports, and friendly staff. It's a fantastic place to take kids. They have a small game area to keep kids entertained, and if Benny, one of the owners, is there, he will go out of his way to make sure they have a good time (he keeps treats and whole packs of crayons on hand for them).
