20 dollars for a pepperoni pizza and this is the quality. Wanted to give them a chance since they were close by and local. Won't be back.

    Amazing deep dish Sicilian pizza

My first time here and loved it. My server Jade was flawless with perfect timing. Salad, refills and pizza. The place has amazing ambiance, great set of tvs and a huge screen at the bar area. Very clean, fresh and comfortable. Easy plaza parking and the manu has tons of items to try. My Sicilian deep dish pizza was fantastic. I will be back often

Mushroom, onion, extra sauce. Loaded up! Pepperoni too next time.

If you have to eat pizza without cheese, there is no better option than Impellizzeri's. They will load up your pie with toppings so much so that you won't miss the cheese. When you see most pizzas without cheese covering them, it's disappointing to see how little they actually put on them. Impellizzeri's, on the other hand, stands out as being very generous. Outstanding job to the kitchen and to the servers.

Impellizzeri's pizza is a local favorite here in the Louisville area that has grown to multiple locations. This particular location is one of there newer locations if not the newest one. It is in the Middletown portion off Louisville off blakenbaker parkway just off the freeway exit right where mellow mushroom use to be. This is a large location that has kept a lot of the inside designs of the previous tenant with the open kitchen, small arcade, nice large bar and huge TVs. So that was nice to see. Off memory I've only been to an Impellizzeri's location once. It was around 8 years ago at the location downtown across from the Yum center. I have a vivid memory of that day because we found out my wife was pregnant with our then 3rd daughter that day and attended two of my favorite artists growing up (George strait and Vince Gill) concert immediately after eating the pizza. So was a fun memorable day and off memory I think the pizza was good too. However I didn't really remember the pizza very much and as stated these locations are very popular in Louisville. So it was long overdue to try again. I was with my oldest daughter and 3 of her teenage friends the day after a sleepover for my oldest 13th birthday celebration. Upon checking in on yelp you get a free breadstick! So be sure to check in! The bread sticks were phenomenal. Best thing I tasted here. They come served hot and sitting in garlic butter so be sure to have napkins because they will get messy. We decided to get a large cheese and a large pepperoni pizza. 16 inch style. The pizzas themselves came thin crust style but had a good filling thickness to them. I'm a big cheese pizza guy but there cheese wasn't that great. Kinda bland and missing something. I can't quite put my finger on what. But it did not have a popular pizzeria taste to it. Nothing terrible but just very ordinary. The pepperoni was significantly better as the pepperoni had A nice flavor to it . But overall it was still just middle of the pact compared to other local pizza joints. Overall the pizza here wasn't as good as I remembered. As stated not terrible but nothing special to me personally. The breadstick were tasty and a nice surprise being free with a yelp checks in. We received very good service here and the location here is very nice on the inside with a cool vibe and decor. Pizza was filling as we had several slices left over and will way for Lunch today. Solid place to check out.

Initially we were going to share a pizza but since they offered a 10 inch we both went our own way. Bestie ordered the Hawaiian & I chose the meatball. While noth pizzas were yummy, the meatball was clearly the better of both. The crust was seasoned perfectly and crunchy but not hard. The meatballs had a perfect flavor, moist and covered with cheese. I mean, how can you go wrong with cheesy meatballs? I also ordered a Tito's Island Punch and let me say, it packed a delightful, delectable & delicious punch! I'm a lightweight but it was so good that I almost ordered another one! They may be a chain but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of our food, our server Chelle (not sure if this is her correct spelling but she was perfectly lovely) and the price point. I would definitely dine here again.

(2:30pm) Everything was hot & fresh. I really liked my salad but next time I'd say bacon bits on the side. They pile it on. Same with the onions, I just picked some off. The peppercorn ranch was good. I got the Hot honey pizza & my husband got the Big Four Meat pizza. We thought it was a good pizza. We both got the regular crust. They were flavorful & they didn't skimp on toppings. The breadsticks were fresh & had a good garlic flavor. I preferred the beer cheese/red sauce to dip. He thought the garlic butter was one of the better butter sauces he had in a while. So it all depends on personal preference. Overall I'm glad we tried them out.

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

We arrived about 7 on Saturday night, it was busy, but we were able to be seated within 10 min. Amazing location with street parking available. Great selection of Bourbon and beers available, and a great menu. They offer 4 styles of pizza: thin, original, thick, and Sicilian. We went with original, and it was perfect crust, with a chewy edge. Louisville style is two layers of cheese and toppings, with a slightly thicker than thin crust. We loved it, but it's very filling. Lots of leftovers, which is never bad. We always get 16in to maximize our slice to pizza ratio. Service was fast and attentive, their pizzas do take longer than your average, but it was worth it. My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.
