    Large. Only comes square cut.

Ordered on a Monday afternoon. It took an hour to get one large 3 topping delivered from 4 miles away. Arrived lukewarm. Crust was tough, felt like I was eating a cardboard liner. It had that feel. However the toppings were tasty, and that created a strange mix. Delicious on top, subpar flooring underneath. Like beautiful carpet laid on bare concrete. It's also very thin, which is fine, not cracker thin but very close to it. Not New York thin. In between. Another ..oddity was that it doesn't come like a normal pizza. It's square cut..and you can't seem to select otherwise. So choosing different toppings for one half and identifying that might take a minute. I really wish it had been a pie, and cut normally. One large. Three toppings. Delivered. $30.43 inc. tip. Unlikely to revisit.

The first time I ever tried Derby City Pizza was last week and I ordered it on Uber Eats. Even though it was basically lukewarm when it got to me, it was still excellent and the pizza was even still crispy. Ever since then, I have been wanting to dine in from the location we ordered Uber eats from. I wasn't expecting the place to be so tiny. Despite that, it looks like it can seat a lot of people. We ordered our food on their kiosk (although I believe you can also have your order taken by a person at the other register) and took our seats. The young lady who was not making pizzas (the other two people behind the counter were prepping them) immediately went to grab our drinks. Service was fast and friendly and the food came out in no time! We were also really impressed with the girl running food/drinks and cashing people out. She really was working her butt off! And she had a great attitude. I should've got her name because I would come back just to receive service from her (that and the great food). The pizza was just as delicious as I remember, but this time it was hot. The cheese bread was excellent. Also, they have big red on the fountain here. I'd never had big red with my pizza before and it really hit the spot. All in all it was a nice experience! I'll definitely return to this location!

This was our second visit and it just seems to get better each time. Its a small place but it was humming with activity . People eating at tables, people waiting for to go orders. Phone ringing! I was impressed. As soon as we sat down we got waited on. The servers are always super nice and attentive. We ordered the large Champ which has everything like sausage, onion, green olives, black olives, green peppers. We also tossed in the cheese bread. The last time I ordered cheese sticks. I like the cheese bread, but next time I will stick with the cheese sticks. Its a small place but seats a lot. They serve beer, and the usual soft drinks. Plenty of parking. Come on by!

    Pepperoni slice (aka kids pizza)

Found myself in the Plainview area today during lunch and needed a quick place to try. Called ahead to see if they offered pizza by the slice at lunchtime and they said they could quickly make a kids pizza for me. Staff was very friendly. You place your order at the counter and they send a text when it's ready to pick up. The kid's one topping pizza was $4.99. It was a perfect thin crust pizza with just the right amount of sauce and pepperoni. I will return for sure!

Cardboard crust. The thin crust should be crispy. Mine was wet cardboard. It was $30 for personal pizza and a side salad.

Very cute house limited parking very unassuming neighbourhood to a out-of-town. Client service was fantastic. Everyone was so pleasant. Food selection was great. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we got the meatballs, the Arancini balls, oysters, kids pasta and three pizzas. The meatballs came with its own pita homemade delicious. Honestly, it would come back just for that. Of course had to get the tiramisu for dessert even though we were so full and it was so good. Super comparable to pizza and food in Toronto honestly, I was so happy great way to end my two week trip

Tucked away on Frankfort Avenue, it's a little off the beaten path, and parking can be an adventure. There's a small lot by the restaurant with overflow parking further down the hill. Somehow we managed to snag the only open space right outside the front door, which felt like winning a very specific Louisville lottery. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the place was already buzzing. It was packed with locals, which is usually a good sign. While our table was being bussed, three different employees checked to make sure we were being helped. We let them know we were just a little early and waiting on our table, but it spoke volumes about the attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere is exactly what you want from a neighbourhood pizza spot: relaxed, lively, and unpretentious. The soundtrack quietly floating through the speakers was a crate-digger's delight, full of songs that have been sampled throughout hip-hop history. Hearing Lynn Collins' Think (About It) while waiting for dinner felt particularly apt following the recent passing of Rob Base. The song's iconic break became the foundation of It Takes Two, one of hip-hop's most recognisable records, and it was a nice reminder of how deeply great music connects generations. To start, we ordered the Olives & Togarashi, a bowl of Castelvetrano olives coated in a wonderfully aromatic blend of spices with notes of fennel, sesame and citrus. My son tried his first olive and was genuinely shocked by the flavour. He'll come around eventually. For the main event, we ordered three large pizzas: the DOP Margherita, the Funghi and the Original Sting. The DOP Margherita showcases imported buffalo mozzarella from Campania alongside basil and San Marzano tomatoes. The Funghi is loaded with an incredible blend of mushrooms, taleggio, pecorino cream and mozzarella. The Original Sting combines soppressata, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato and spicy local honey in a sweet-and-savoury combination that completely works. Now, let's talk about the crust. It is perfect. Pillowy and light, yet substantial enough to give you that satisfying chew. The wood-fired oven creates just the right amount of charred bubbling around the edges. Our server offered house-made ranch and other dipping sauces for the crust, but we politely declined. This pizza doesn't need any enhancers. The balance of flavours across all three pies was exceptional. I've eaten pizza all over the world, and Pizza Lupo belongs in that conversation. It really is that good. We had a plan: sample all three pizzas and leave just enough room to split the tiramisu. Thankfully, we stuck to it. The tiramisu was fresh, light and beautifully balanced. Not overly sweet, nicely moist, with just enough espresso flavour coming through. It was the perfect finish to an outstanding meal. The service was fast without feeling rushed, friendly without feeling scripted, and genuine throughout the evening. We left full, not bloated, and happy as spring lambs, already talking about what we'd order next time. We'll defo be back. Cheers, Sam

My book club met at Impellizzeri's this week, and upon discovering several of us have dietary limitations, the server and kitchen staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and ensure our ongoing health. A wonderful kitchen wizard ventured out into the dining room to talk to us personally, and confirmed that all the traditional pizza doughs, pastas, and red sauces are vegan. He offered to create a custom pasta dish with a variety of vegetables (spaghetti pomarola with garlic, spinach, and mushrooms), and ensured that the breadsticks that accompany the pasta dish (traditionally made with garlic butter and cheese) were vegan, prepared in a separate location in the kitchen to ensure no dairy contamination. For those with other food allergies and intolerances they ensured every detail was correct, even noticing that a pizza that was inadvertently prepared with an offending food item, and remaking it before it was even finished baking. Pricing is incredibly reasonable for the quantity and the truly excellent service, which is what truly made the experience special. My pasta dish was tasty. Is it the best pasta I've ever had? No - but it wasn't trying to be. What Impellizzeri's does well is serve good food at reasonable prices, in a location and with people who have an eye for detail and a passion for excellent customer service. Well done.

This is a terrific deal, plus it makes us get out of our rut at eating at our favorite place all the time. I will be honest, I have not been to Impellizerri's in years. We've been to Italy and Italian Switzerland many times and love their very thin, fold in your hand pies which have fresh tomato sauce and flavorful local cheese. I was hopeful- Impelliizeris had a thin crust option! Unfortunately, it was as disappointing as I remember. The crust is too doughy, the sauce is bland and the cheese was thick and tasteless. We didn't even eat our leftovers. I don't understand why so many like this, perhaps I should order something else if I return. Just a no from us!
