My first time ordering from Beascakes. I ordered a Hockey Theme birthday cake for my son. They made a Ranger Jersey out of chocolate and did an excellent job. It was just how we wanted it. I am a professional baker and am very critical of most bakeries. That said, I will say their chocolate chip cookies have to be the best I've ever had and that is saying a lot. I wish I had their recipe; it is better than mine! I haven't had their other products which is why I only gave 4 stars. I am not going to give any establishment 5 stars based on only one product. I was very specific with what I wanted for my wedding cake and everything was perfect. The flavors were amazing. We chose red velvet, funfetti and cannoli. The only thing I was not happy with was the glitter on the bow of my cake. I did not ask for glitter and felt it made the cake look a bit juvenile. Everything else was perfect. read more

I had an event this weekend and there was a slight issue with my cake, however I spoke to Julie and she was really helpful and rectified the problem. Moved to Armonk a few months ago. Actually the product is average to good. BUT the service AWFUL. Last two times they disappointed big time. Today, they called the day of and said they could not do YET accepted both orders way in advance (both prepaid). They certainly take the money on time! We do like to shop and use local business in the town we live. For Pastery needs, unfortunately now going back to old reliable, Bedford Bakery (always reliable and much better anyway) for special needs it is worth the Trip less than 20 min; or ( DeCicco in town for not so special - better priced and just as good! Too bad. Not a happy customer. You just don't accept the order and have the customer PREPAY for what they need and then call last minute to say "oops - oh sorry.. I called the best losccated in Bedford , NY and they are took care of me immediately....well not sorry I wrote this review. I ordered a beautiful cake for my baby shower and I was blown away by the quality, style, and taste. The cake was truly the center piece of the party and it came out exactly as I had envisioned. I sent the owner a picture of what I wanted and she re-created the cake perfectly. The taste was also great- the cake was not dry at all and had lots of good flavor. I would highly recommend this bakery for special occasions because their work is incredible and the prices are very reasonable. ONCE Again Julie has 1000% outdone herself on 3 magnificent Birthday cakes from 2/21/16. There were 2 cakes for my 8 year old twin granddaughters. BOTH could have been used as Wedding cakes, with the most elaborate, detailed lace, swags, and magnificent flowers. Then the cake for my 4 year old grandson, with the MOST amazing hand done Monster trucks, roads, grass and scenery. ALL 3 cakes were treasures to behold. My only GO-TO bakery. Terrible customer service. Ordered a cake on Tuesday and gave specific instructions to the staff. The baker never called me to confirm but I was OK with that. On Saturday I picked up the cake 30 minutes later than the scheduled time. The cake was not ready and I was not happy. My face drastically changed from feeling excited to being concerned. The girl that was "helping" me with the order said she would have someone deliver it. I was more upset at the fact that there was no apology until after minutes of being there I finally mentioned that I was very upset. She didn't seem like she cared but gave me a forced apology. No one called to inform me that it wasn't ready, I mentioned, to which she replied that Saturday was one of their busiest days. First and Last time I will be shopping at this bakery. read more

A gourmet bakery for everybody! The black and whites are without competition, the butter cookies just melt in your mouth. Other faves are the cherry turnovers and molasses crinkle cookies which are unique and exceptional. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, add to a cool atmosphere. Had big problems with my order for a party. I had scheduled a meeting (my second one to review order details with the owner Julie). Admittedly I was a few hours late but met with another staff member. Not realizing the owner does not trust her staff to write down my details... the owner seemed to totally blame me! No apologies for delivering 1 HR late. First I was told "the kitchen was running behind" and then the delivery person tells me she had a flat tire. Hummm. They were my centerpieces and delivered while party was started. I supplies 3 pictures of THEIR decorated cakes and wanted 3 other different flowers on top. Not difficult....6 cakes w 6 different flower arrangements. 2 separate meetings w staff members. A call day before to remind them. Messed up order and no apologies. Do not recommend. Very horrible customer service. If you can't rely on a correct order (2 meetings) and prompt delivery, then no sense using this bakery. Very very disappointing. read more

I had a terrible experience with Beascakes! I ordered a big graduation cake for my son, his seven friends and their families for a champagne and cake graduation celebration. I ordered the cake, as requested by the Beascakes' staff, three days before the celebration. I was assured by the Beascakes' staff that they could fill the cake order. I called one day before the event to confirm the cake would be ready the next day. Again I was assured by the Beascakes' staff that the cake would be ready the following day at the time requested-12:30 pm. I called a third time the morning of the event to confirm the cake would be ready at the requested time and I was told the cake would be ready. When I arrived to pick up the cake at 12:45 on the day of the event, the cake was not ready and they did not know when it would be ready. I then had to scramble to order and pick up a cake from another bakery that was nice enough to put together a quick sheetcake and decorate it within 20 minutes. HUGE disaster. I arrived with the replacement sheetcake 30 minutes late to the graduation party. Unbelievable! I've never had such a bad experience with any vendor. This is the first review I have ever written online for anything, but I was so upset by this experience that I felt compelled to write this review. read more

I gave them a ³rd chance this year. First time exactly what I ordered is exactly what I got. The ²nd time the design was not very professional and the size was way to big and paid 300. The 3rd time They didn't create the cake that I saw in the picture. It was very disappointing. Its like the baker does it his way. I would expect a phone call if they were to change the design. And of course you can't do anything at this point . The cakes every time were tasty but I will never order there again. Parties are all about cake design. Extremely disappointed. After many friends raved, I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. My requests were pretty basic- yellow cake, chocolate icing, simple decorations. From the outside, the cake appeared to be what I ordered. But when I cut into it, I discovered it wasn't remotely what I wanted. I told a few friends, and heard many other stories of them getting custom orders VERY wrong. Definitely go elsewhere for anything other than what's premade in the case. read more

Solely based on the Chocolate Chip Cookies & the Glazed Donuts it's worth the trip. I've had the cookies before and have always wanted to go to the bakery itself. For a recent birthday no cake was needed, just good cookies. Have brought these as gifts to family, friends, and to work with all agreeing one of if not the best chocolate chip cookies. I tried an oatmeal raisin which I'm usually a fan of and wasn't totally blown away but could tell all the ingredients were quality & Fresh. Need to return to explore more of the menu. It's not far from 684 maybe about 5 minutes. Some said the price was alittle steep, I respectfully disagree with that as quality does come with a price. I truly don't know how this bakery has such praise. As someone who has been to almost every bakery in Westchester County in hopes of discovering a new great one, I am truly appalled at this place. Unfortunately, I cannot even comment on the food at this location since the young lady (to put it so very nicely) that was working at the counter was so incredibly rude that I ended up leaving without even purchasing anything. Clearly simply asking what type of donut a particular UNLABELED one is was just too much for her. I received nothing but snippy attitude with a nasty look of disdain for the entire 5-7 minutes I was in this bakery. I was honestly so close to giving her a piece of mind in front of the entire store. I will never ever be back to this bakery to spend a single dime and I will tell every single person I know to avoid this place at all costs. I hate giving bad reviews, but I agree with Katy C- they don't really care about ANYTHING... I completed a phone order with Beascakes and everything went smooth. I let them know I needed a receipt for our records and the owner happily said she would drop it in the mail that day. Days passed and I never received anything in the mail-??? so I called to follow up to find out nothing was ever mailed. That led to many more phone calls (on my end) to hear redundant excuses (shes not here, call back in an hour, shes not available, she'll call you later, she need sto check if your purchase went thru, and the list goes on) to dodge my need for a receipt! This was for work, and I needed it to process and expense report. That's all I wanted- And it was like I was the bad guy... very interesting because I'm always the nice girl defending someone who may be just having a bad day... siiiigh. Exactly THREE weeks later after stalking them and feeling their eyes roll over the phone (LOL, but seriously!), I finally received a fax. Wow, yay they were actually listening? I am sure their baked goods are wonderful and delicious, etc. etc., they looked great on their website..... but come on folks- wake up and/or pleeease get some people skills.. OR just ACT like you want to be there. OR one more option- just don't take three weeks to find a receipt and you can continue to be unpleasant all you want. Please? read more

Such a disappointing experience with my three-year-old's birthday cake this morning. I went to the store in person last week to talk through the custom cake design with the staff. The staff member wrote down in detail what I wanted (I checked at the time, and it was written correctly), but when I picked up the cake this morning, it was simply wrong. The colors were wrong, an airbrushing effect that they we had discussed (at their suggestion) was nowhere to be seen, and designs were in the wrong place. The most frustrating part, however, was that the two cashiers and the owner truly could not have cared less. They discounted the price of the cake, which I appreciated (but only after I asked -- they didn't offer), but they just did not care that it was wrong or that I was unhappy. They also put cake toppers on without telling me in advance that doing so meant the box wouldn't close, which seems to be an amateur mistake to me. (Who wants to travel with a cake in an open box?) WOW! Beascakes hit a major homerun for my son's 5th birthday. I ordered the birthday cake and for decoration I just asked if they could do a 'race car theme with black checkered flags or something'. We picked up the cake on the way to the party venue and didn't open the box until it was almost time for cake. When I opened it there was a collective "WOW" from all the parents. The cake was GORGEOUS and the decoration was WAY above and beyond my cavalier request for 'race car flags or something'. It was like out of a magazine! It far exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. And, as with anything you get from Beascakes, it was fresh and super delicious. I also ordered donuts for his class party and they were a huge hit with the teachers and students alike. Oh..and on the cake order...I called the 'morning of' to see if they could possibly expedite my order to have it sooner than I had originally requested. They said they would try and sure 'nuff they did AND called me back to confirm when it was ready (ahead of schedule!!). This is my first Yelp review. I just felt compelled to give my feedback and appreciation to Beascakes which is a business that always comes through for my family in a big way.
