Very enjoyable from the service to the food to the ambience. Try their clam chowder you won't be disappointed!

Arrived about 6 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was about 20 percent full. We sat out on the deck which really needed some housekeeping, just tired with cobwebs and dusty fixtures and an outdoor heater that needed attending to. Flatware was spotted and dingy. The paper menu had food stains all over it. We ordered dinner which included a salad. The Green Godess salad was terribly overdressed and took 30 minutes to arrive to the table. My filet mignon when it finally arrived much later than the salad was WAY over cooked. Totally BROWN throughout. The server did not check back on us after delivering the steak to remedy any problems and the steak WAS a problem. The steak came with side of "au gratin" potatoes that were lukewarm and had a fat cap of lukewarm cheddar cheese on top. Ugh. Finally, another 20 minutes later when I did not touch my steak, I showed her the "cook" on my steak which was brown all the way through even though I ordered medium rare. She said it was "the light" outdoors that made the steak look overdone and the steak was properly done. No. I think not. It was a 55.00 dollar 8 oz. steak, not hard to cook right? It was inedible. I then asked her why the wait was so long....1 hour to get dinner? She said the restaurant was super busy and there was only 1 cook in the kitchen. She added that we were walk-in's and that we should not have been seated. Uhm....the restaurant was pretty much empty when we arrived. When we left about 1.5 hours later the restaurant was only about 25% full. Super disappointing dinner. We had dinner at another fabulous steakhouse the night before and every detail was perfect. This restaurant has seen better days. I used to come here years ago but I am just letting you know that you can do SO much better at so many other places now! read more

Has been one of my favorite restaurants for years! Beasy's is a wonderful blend of amazing food, caring service, and a fantastic ambiance. There's something unique about the food here. The sauce that was served with my perfectly cooked steak and unbelievable potatoes is addictive. You just have to experience it to know. My waitress, Bri, was so kind and friendly, her energy was so appreciated. It's a beautiful and comfortable environment. I can't rave enough about this place. Highly recommend! read more

The service was just fine. On the other hand, the food was absolutely terrible. We ordered the crabcakes that said they were Dungeness crabcakes from Oregon. They were not they were made out of canned crab that not only could you tell came out of a crab. It was rotten. It smelled fishy, and the crabcakes didn't stick together like it was more like they shaped crab in a crabcake form, but it was not cooked nor was it good you could smell how rotten it was when it came to the table, we did not eat one bite of it. In fact, we sent it back because it wasn't good. Only to find that they left it on our bill actually expected us to pay for rotten crab after sending it back to the kitchen. While we sent a drink back that was wrong. The drink was more of a personal preference. It was too sweet and so that was on the bill. I guess that could be understandable to charge us for. But to charge us for rotten crab that you sent to our table and not even come out and apologize for it try to give us to pay for it was absolutely disgusting. If you walk down to the bathroom and you see how filthy the floor is, you can only imagine what the kitchen is like. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor will we ever go back. read more

The crab cake appetizer was pretty good, but not worth $25. The red snapper special was tasty, but the rice pilaf and frozen langostinos didn't justify the $45 asking price - $25 would have been more like it. No complaints about the fettuccini, but again - overpriced. Peerless/Alchemy pricing for Outback quality? To be fair, it is Ashland, and one has to consider that the food tax does add to the cost. I feel like this restaurant was probably a lovely place once upon a time. Its always kind of sad to see a must have been that's past its prime. The seats are worn and torn, and no amount of white tablecloths are going to disguise a truly filthy carpet. Somehow our server missed telling us any specials, so we went with the printed menu, both of which were crumpled, grease spotted and in my case a chunk missing from the top of the plain paper. Honestly, make some copies! What a terrible way to start off your guests. Serious ick factor! That should have been a red flag. We requested bread but were immediately sorry, as it was so stale we just moved the basket aside and left the pieces we selected on the bread plates. We ordered the surf and turf and filet béarnaise. The meat was tender, and served pretty close to what we ordered. The potatoes au gratin were lumpy and filled with chunks of hard potato that indicated a lack of mashing before topping with cheese. The broccoli was bright green and cooked perfectly. Overall, pretty disappointing. Again, it may have been something a few years ago, but our experience was just above "ugh". read more

We visited for a birthday celebration on a very hot evening. We sat outside for the creek view, which was worth the heat. We were greeted promptly and our orders taken relatively efficiently. I told the waitress I eat limited carbs and ordered dinner sans side dishes, She was savvy enough to ask my husband if he wanted bread. BUT when my soup came, it was piled high with RICE. (why??) . It went back and returned tasty and rice-free. His salad was just iceberg lettuce. At these prices, do not even OWN iceberg lettuce, please. We couldn't get anyone to take away the appetizer places to make room for the soup/salad course, which felt very low-class. His surf and turf had as a side a bizarre lump potato thing covered in curdled cheese sauce, and his scallops were underdone. The filet was perfect medium rare. My blacked fish was well-seasoned and tasty but NOT blackened. And the langostinos on top had been dumped on wet so the hollandaise was a swimming pool--which was a shame as it was a good sauce when it started out. Conclusion--aspiring to be fine dining, Beasy's doesn't quite make it, but the food was decent. We'd still go back, but we might order more conservatively. read more

Excellent dinner. I had steak special and husband had halibut special. Both were flavored excellently! Server was fantastic and very customer oriented. Only reason not 5 stars is due to ordering the steak med rare and it arrived rare but server took back to the kitchen and they corrected it and even gave me a fresh plate. Music felt a little loud for the space, but once it started filling with customers it did help prevent unintentional eavesdropping. Overall an excellent experience and we will be back. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! I took my daughter and son-in-law here for a nice dinner away from the kids. Beasy's did not disappoint. We sat out on the patio. The view and weather were lovely. Started off with drinks and crabcakes. Then salads and bread came. We all ordered different things and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I got the filet and prawns and it was the best of all 3 meals. I did order my filet medium rare and it came medium well. I was recommended by a few people on Ashland Peeps to try this restaurant. We had a very pleasant experience! Cost-wise, this restaurant is a little spendy. But it is worth every penny! We had two people, 2 cocktails each, a shared appetizer, each had an entree, and a shared dessert. After tip we had spent around 170 dollars. When we arrived, we were 15 minutes early but we were seated quickly. Our hostess was very friendly. We were greeted in a timely manner by our waitress, her name slips my mind at the moment, but that is not due to her lack of service. I would say she was just the right amount of attentive. Not overbearing and we never had to wait. Overall, I would say our service was great, and the restaurant was full while we were dining. Food was AMAZING! We shared steamer clams. The sauce had a little spice to it. Just enough! I opted for the caprese salad to start my meal and it did not disappoint! The mozzarella was heavenly. For my entree I had scallops. They were cooked perfectly and the sauce they were in was heavenly. My partner had an all natural filet mignon "oscar style". It came with Dungeness crab and house made hollandaise. We ate at Beasy's On the Creek for our anniversary, just prior to seeing a show at the Shakespeare Festival. The food was delicious; my filet was cooked to perfection (a Medium Rare minus, which gave the cook a chuckle). Service was excellent and Marina, our server, was friendly and attentive. Thought the food would be better for how pricey this place is. Even though we made a reservation for the 8 of us on a Thursday, it was totally unnecessary as the place was empty for the most part. Appetizers: the scallops are absolutely delicious but way too expensive. Crab cake is Thai inspired with some coconut- kinda weird but good enough. Lobster ravioli was totally underwhelming. Spicy mushrooms were strange... I feel like they should cut them up or something. The marinade is strange. Not bad, but strange. I had the angel hair pasta with clams. I was satisfied, but again, considering how foo foo the restaurant is I thought it'd taste better. Desserts are absolute winners. I recommend the vanilla cheesecake and bread pudding. Service is also very good! The food came out fast and our waitress was just stellar. Overall I don't think I would come back here... Unless it was for the cheesecake.... Oh the cheesecake. read more

Had an outstanding dinner here tonight on our final evening in Ashland. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Service was fast but not at all rushed. I had the Filet Mignon special with creamy Gorgonzola sauce, the steak was so flavorful and tender, came with a salad which was awesome, potatoes and streamed spinach. My husband enjoyed the beef stroganoff, with very tender beef. Also came with a salad. Bread was fresh. They even had a great house wine and reasonable too. The restaurant was decorated up for the holidays! Do hope I can come back soon. read more

So I have a strange experience here. My best friend down here wanted to take me out for a celebratory fancy dinner date (to celebrate my having a baby, getting married soon, graduating school) and we got to sit on the patio, in the perfect afternoon breezy Ashland weather, overlooking the small park-like area down below where the creek is. It was lovely! We ordered our drinks (mine non-alcoholic, because I'm pregnant. That fact matters for my story here in a bit) and our salad/soup because we were starving. Everything was great, the hostess and waitress were great. We got our entrees, and they looked, smelled and tasted amazing! I ordered the grilled garlic prawns because I had been mad craving some seafood and I LOVE prawns. So we ate, I scarfed down the prawns, and we sat and talked for a while being bloated messes (perfect date, duh). The longer we sat I was thinking, god, i feel really REALLY overly full... whatever it's nothing it will pass. More time... Hmm i feel way too full... Still... So I tell my friend I'm gonna run to the bathroom. I stand up, and it hits me immediately. I'm gonna vomit. I need to run my bloaty pregnant butt to the bathroom STAT. I try to hold it together and ask the waitress where the bathroom is and she tells me its back around the patio through the restaurant. I'm so not gonna make it that far. So I run back to the table, and I vomit right at the table on the floor. The waitress runs over, probably thinking I have covid and food poisoning, probably almost freaking out, but my friend plays it cool and just says "no no the meals were great, but the baby didn't agree." The girl goes "oh... OH... I'm gonna grab a bucket," and gets me one and a towel or two and at this point I'm trying not to start ugly sobbing, because I was humiliated. Luckily I'm not so loud and they had the tables with a lot of space between them so nobody around even noticed really. The poor bus boy came up and started to sort of mop it up a little bit and I felt so bad and he understood and just goes "No it's totally fine trust me we've had worse, you're fine." So we leave obviously, and I wanted dessert to bring home still, so we got that to go. The next day I guess, the owner (?) calls my friend to check on me (probably also making sure i didn't have food poisoning or covid... cause they'd probably have to shut down for a period). I thought that was really nice of them! So I'm writing this review because the food really was great, but I learned I cannot have seafood during this time (this day and one more later taught me... ugh). The service was also great. They were very reassuring and very nice about the whole situation. Definitely will come back to try again. You know, without the baby. read more

This place is magnificent. I have only been here once for my husband and i's anniversary and the staff treated us like royalty because I told them the occasion. We went soon after opening. We were the second group there. We were given the worst table in the place - overlooking the kitchen and the waiter station. It wouldn't have been a big deal if there hadn't have been a bunch of empty tables. The service was just ok. I ordered the filet with hollandaise and crab. The hollandaise was thin and flavorless. My husbands pasta was good, he enjoyed it and felt that it was a very large portion. We also had the shrimp cocktail which was good. Very large shrimp and good cocktail sauce. The salad was bland, with just lettuce and dressing the dressing was watery and lacked much flavor. Probably would not go back. High prices medium quality. read more

This restaurant is... old school. The menu is sort of standard fine dining fair, with nice seafood. They don't strike me as attempting to be innovative here - think steaks, seafood, pasta - but you get a lot of it and it's tasty. Terrible service. Just terrible. We arrived at 5:45 PM with a reservation and they did not order our food until 6:30 PM. They could've, for they ordered for the people who came after us. In fact, the several people who came after us already left before we even got our food. We had to tell them to rush our order twice because we had a play to catch at 7:30 PM. The waitress told us that the food would be coming out shortly, but the food did not arrive for thirty minutes. We did not receive food until 7:15 PM. The food was not worth the wait or the price. The steak was over-cooked, the potatoes tasted gross, and the broccoli was bland. Paying 37 dollars for a steak that isn't even cooked properly was disappointing. While paying, despite the awful service, the waitress demanded rudely for a tip. Terrible attitude, terrible service, a liar, and passive aggressive. Luckily, there was another waitress who was really sweet and helped us when our assigned waitress didn't. The store should fire our assigned waitress when they have the chance. Do not recommend this restaurant. There are far better places that are more affordable and has better food than this one. read more

The service is terrible. Our server was nice but very very slow. She took the three groups after us their orders and the 3 groups finished before we even got our food. However, when asked when our food was coming (as we needed to go to a play soon) our waiter told us she was "loading up" . 20 minutes passed, and we then asked another waiter to please tell the kitchen to hurry as we were going to be late for the play. Finally the food came, and it was hot, meaning our waiter lied when she told us it was "loading up". When paying, before we gave her the tip, she demanded for a tip. The ribeye I got was very good and tender; however, the mash potatoes wasn't mashed properly. There were large chunks of potato in the mashed potato. And we were late to the play. Edit: I realized the mashed potatoes I mentioned were actually supposed to be au gratin potatoes, but when I got my dish I genuinely thought it was supposed to be mashed potatoes that were badly mashed. It was literally a chunk of potato with someone mashed potato with cheese on top. read more

Last evening (a Tuesday) we had an "excellent dining experience" at Beasy's on the Creek. Both the salmon and the filet mignon were perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. Everything else was delicious too. The setting (the room) is our favorite size -- NOT huge, and adequately QUIET as well. (Why Some People think being deafened in a loud restaurant is "trendy" is beyond us; my guess is they have nothing to say to one another and need that vacuum filled!) Our server was also great: friendly, natural, relaxed and attentive. We'll be back (we live in nearby Talent and have been looking for "our favorite restaurant," which we've now found). Some of the negative reviews here on Yelp are sadly "typical" -- self appointed foodie experts with Strong Opinions, bloviating about THEMSELVES and their "disappointed High Taste," whilst pretending to be writing a review. Go back to pretentious, self-important California or get with the NICE and low-fallutin' Oregon "program." Thanks Beasy's. A most enjoyable and delicious experience. read more

Keep in mind, a 5 star rating is utter perfection. At least in my book. This place is a very solid 4. The salads alone are nearly worth a -2 stars, but more on that soon. App: Crab cakes, quite expertly cooked, served perfectly hot (big fan of that) on some kind of Thai inspired coconut-milk sauce. Save your bread to get up all that sauce. Oh, the Service: Our server was wonderful. It's Ashland. Those (mostly ladies) servers work hard and provide great service from place to place in that town. To me, service is a no-brainer and non-issue in Ashland. Very good. Salads: Oh my God. What happened? The heights of the Crab Cake app was swiftly chopped down by the utterly un-photographable, completely dreadful salad :( Such sad, what was said to be, chopped Romaine with bits of Bleu cheese. It even looked like it was in it last hours, almost going brown-ish/going bad but I convinced myself it was the yellow lights on the lovely patio. The salads simply need more attention. Grate just a bit of Parmesan, toss on a tomato slice or two. (Do SOMETHING because those salads really need some help) Entree's I've had there on a few visits now are the Lobster Ravioli and the Filet. The Lobster Rav is in my opinion a wonderful dish. I literally love the sauce. It's lick-the-bowl good. The Filet is literally the best Filet I've found around. Served with hollandaise and crab on top, it's a stunning dish. The filet is actually seasoned well which can be surprisingly hard to find, consistently. I will go back to this place again and am always looking forward to my next visit. read more
