Horrible stay at this motel . The guy was very rude . The said I had to move my car when it was already within the lines. They also made me come downstairs from the fourth floor interrupted my breakfast while I was having with my kids they yelled at me and treated me very differently than other people it was not nice. It was just not nice. The water was yellow in the bathtub. The guy was yelling at my move your car while it was already within the lines. He just didn't like me. That's all I can tell you. do yourself a favor when you stay there with your family I'm a mother of three kids. I'm a nurse and I'm a veteran. I don't deserve this kind of treatment. Rooms were nice, updated compared to most of the places in Wildwood,NJ. Pool is a little small but most people went to the beach so it was fine. The cafe is cash only and is only open in the morning to sit inside. A little expensive too for 2 sandwiches 31 dollars! read more

We stayed here august 25-29 2022. The room was so nice, roomy and super clean it has a smart tv so you can log in and watch Netflix, Hulu, Disney etc. The bedding is very nice. It is right on the beautiful beach. The pool is heated, nothing too fancy but nice. It has patios where you can relax or even barbecue. Ours was right on it so we were able to eat at the table right outside our door. The one thing that I didn't like was the fact they allow smoking including cigars outside on the balcony. It was awful as it goes into your room Plus who wants to eat with the smell of cigars lingering in your face? The location is great, very close to Cape May and minutes from the boardwalk. I would go again but May look for a place without the smoking. read more

Room is okay, just was blatantly dirty upon arrival. Floors not clean to the point if you don't wear shoes it will appear as if you walked outside in the dirt bare foot. Attempted to clean myself with a towel, but they're beyond some water and a towel. Wiped down a spot on the couch, wash cloth was black after, so I would assume the couches aren't clean either. Tooth paste on the wall in the bathroom, pillow cases don't seem clean. To top it off I was put in one room for two nights and have to move the third night that I added on prior to arrival with my 3 kids and all of our things. Extremely distasteful to do that to a guest who chose to pay to stay at your business. Based on that solely, I would not stay again. read more

I'll begin with the negatives: - smoker sit out front of the rooms on the shared walkway and smoke. I've been coming here for years and it's not a ton of smokers but each floor will have one or two. - beds are soft and spongy. - the breakfast coupons for the attached restaurant are for a fixed menu and they won't let you substitute ANYTHING. Each meal gets a juice which literally comes in a shot glass...seriously. - sheets and towels have some small stains on some of them but the staff will bring you new ones if you call down. - any billing discrepancies have to be handled on the owners schedule (8-9am) and not yours. Good luck with that. - WiFi is absolutely garbage here. Random connectivity...good luck if you have an iOS device. The positives: - rooms are spacious with a small kitchenette separate living and sleeping areas. Bathroom are not crowded either. Family of 2 adults and 2-3 young kids would be comfortable. - this is located in Wildwood Crest away from the boardwalk and riff raff. At night the area is calm and quiet. The closer you get to the boards the louder it is at night. - the plan pricing is nice and most are good deals. I believe the plans to be fair pricing for the hotel and area. - this place is right on the beach and all of the rooms have a shared view of the beach, and some rooms have a private beach front view and balcony. - most of the same families will come back every year during the same week(s). This was the case with my family and one we met 20 years ago here. We've come back the same time with them each year and the kids have had friends to play with that they know. All in all, it's not a bad place. For the money I think it's a good place to stay and the location is great. Boards are maybe a 10 minute drive and there are plenty of places to eat. There are two very nice and cleaned daily Weber Genesis 3 burner grills on one of the balconies. I don't think you'll be disappointed staying here if you know what your getting up front. My negatives about this place aren't enough to make me seek out a new venue for our week long vacation. We come back every year and enjoy ourselves each time. read more

This place is rundown. Exposed movable plugs with no covers, toilet that did not flush most of the time, did not receive maid service one day, screen door did not close, when sitting on the balcony had to look at sea gull poop on the awning over the restaurant. Very clean and quaint motel which is right on the ocean. Most rooms have an ocean view. Our room had a kitchenette w small full size fridge (no oven). The kitchenette was supplied w dishes cups and cookware including coffee pot. Everything was VERY clean. Perfect for a no frills weekend. read more

We had a great time here! The room was super clean and updated! Elevator was convenient. Parking lot was good. Air conditioner worked great. Beds were very comfortable. Cooking top and fridge were a great plus! Pool are was nice, a little small and the water was only upto 5ft deep. It was not heated as they claim on there website. Bbq grills were great! Access to beach was so close and convenient. At check in the older woman was super friendly and helpful answered all questions. Would def stay here again!!! read more

Would stay here again. Place was clean and so close to the beach. People were saying that the air conditioning didn't work but ours was great. Even on low it was cold. The staff were friendly. The view was great. The pool was clean although kind of small. Only stayed 2 nights but would have brought food to cook if we were staying longer. When checking in, I didn't have the $10 cash for the keys but it wasn't a problem. They just marked that I didn't have cash. Beds were comfy. The most unfriendly and aloof staff I have ever come across on vacation. They simply do not care about your concerns. We had no hot water and showering was awful. They said "these things happen" and offered no compensation or even an apology. The price you pay for this "resort" is not worth it, especially with the attitude you get at the front desk. Never been to Wildwood Crest before and we were trying to book a different hotel but fortunately for me they had no room for the dates I was look for. I found this hidden gem. This place was extremely clean inside and out. The room were all brand new top to bottom. The staff was warm and friendly. Matter of fact it felt like family. The location to the beach was, on the beach. The view from my room was a ocean view that was stunning. The cleaning and maintenance staff were excellent and went well past their job titles. I will never stay anywhere else. I highly recommend this place. Please stay in room 405 it wax excellent. read more

I think I was about 7 years old when I first stayed at the Beau Rivage with my parents, brother, and grandparents. That was in 1979. Things haven't changed much at the good 'ole Beau Rivage since then, though the few changes have been highly functional. The pool was long ago made over and looks very nice. (It's still very small.) But sadly, the old game room with the ping pong table is gone. Now it just serves as a place for families to dine away from the elements when sitting at the pool. (They did put a bathroom in, though, which is a nice touch so you don't have to run back to your room each time to go pee.) My family all stayed at this motel, summer after summer, for many, many years. My grandparents died in 1984, but the rest of the family still comes to Wildwood, and now we bring our family and friends. Until this past Saturday, my last time staying at the Beau Rivage was summer of 1990, a week before I shipped off to college. Since then we have always rented condos at Seapointe, Ocean Towers, or Coastal Colors. (It's nice to have all that extra space.) This past week, however, we wanted to start our vacation a day early. Our condo at Seapointe Village would not be ready until Sunday, so for shits and giggles I gave the old crew of the Beau Rivage a call and managed to snag one of only two rooms available for a one-night rental. Coincidentally, it was the same one bedroom efficiency we used to rent in the 80s. It would be nostalgic, if nothing else, me now taking my kids to the same place my parents would take my brother and I. The rooms are still very simple, but very clean. In Wildwood, a clean hotel can be hard to find. But I'm happy to report that the Beau Rivage is as clean as I remember it. Bathrooms have long ago been renovated, and all the furniture felt fairly up to date. My only disappointment was the air conditioning. I can remember the air conditioning back in the day being able to convert the room into a meat locker. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite work like that anymore. You can still cool the room, but it won't attract the polar bears and penguins like it did in the 80s. (The A/C did work, just to be clear.) As for the clientele, the Beau Rivage still seems to attract normal families. No real sketchy element like you find at a lot of other motels in the area. That's always a plus. I always tell people, no matter how much or how little money you make, there's something for everyone in Wildwood. If you want to take a family vacation down this way and stay in a clean, decently-priced room with beautiful ocean views, Beau Rivage will easily fit the bill. read more

the rooms were filthy . I had to clean the table tops before I would put food on it. there was items, including a medical tablet behind the side table. the house's keeping staff sat in the stairwells causing the guest to accommodate the staff, because staff did not move when the guests were walking down the stairs. they never cleaned the rooms the entire time of our stay. they just made the beds and put clean towels in the bathroom. the floors were never vacuumed or swept. there were stains on the bedspread. the balcony window had bird droppings on it and wasn't cleaned until we requested it. other than the great location I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Great location and price is reasonable. Staff is awesome and they did a great job making the place clean. Only problem I have is the "hallway" which is also the guest's balcony/oceanview. Very narrow. Each time I need to walk through there are people sitting outside and blocking the area. One night a family allowed their kids play in the hallway/balcony and it was already 10pm. I think they need to have some quiet hours. They have only ~6 oceanfront view. Which is a very nice view and those rooms are more private. Kitchen is nicely stocked with pots/pans and silverware and plates/cups/mugs. Was told the motel has been there for 35 years. Needs some upgrading like the locks they still use a key. They require a $10 cash deposit. You get it back when you check out. read more

I had an okay stay there. Comfortable for the most part. The rooms are really nice and it's right on the beach! There were some unfortunate looking stains on the bedsheets and towels which was kind of a turn off. The Wifi didn't work for me. The staff kept telling me it's because I have an Apple phone but I had brought my blu-ray player that connects through wifi and that wasn't connecting either. But other than those two things it wasn't bad! The room's kitchen was fully equipped which was nice. Also the cafe downstairs was really good! read more

Second time here! Service is friendly, whenever we need something the hotel staff helped us! It is not a fancy place, but it is clean and good enough! Location is very good, the swimming pool is good and the beach is right in front of the hotel! We will be back :) read more

We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed in a queen suite with an ocean view. We were pleasantly surprised they updated the comforters that were shown on their website. Our room was extremely clean, the shower water was nice and hot and the a/c did it's job on the hot days. The staff was very helpful with any questions about nearby restaurants and activities. We didn't use the pool because we are more beach people , but the water always look clean and refreshing. The beach was so easy to get to just a few minute walk to the water line. The restaurant next to the pool was really tasty, great for breakfast and lunch. When going to the boardwalk we took the trolley right from the hotel which was convenient and cheaper then driving because parking at the boardwalk was pricey. We stayed at the Beau Rivage a couple weeks ago when the hotel we originally booked was closed when we arrived. So, we were really looking on the fly and it was about 6:30 in the evening and we had 2 tired kids with us. When I went in the door, the lady at the desk was very friendly and got us a room-- that was also an Ocean Front room! The pricing was very reasonable, too! I was so happy to have a place to stay, and was glad to find that the room was very clean and definitely met our needs. We stayed only one night and were in a rush the next day. So much that we ended up leaving a couple items behind. When I called them to ask if they had the items and if I could pay for them to be shipped to me, they were delightful. What this hotel lacks in frilly stuff, it certainly makes up for in customer service. Even better, there's a little cafe on the ground floor that makes a killer diner-style breakfast. And, the cook there was also friendly. Definitely a great place to take the family for a little getaway that won't crush your budget. read more

An absolute dirty junk place, from rude service right when we stepped in by the women hardly saying a word and not answering our questions to the owner grabbing our credentials before even asking for them. Room smelled fresh which was very surprising but then the filthy grills with full grease pans was a complete turn off. Hoping for the best we tried the cafe located on premise which was ok but then we decided to look at the pool and see vomit floating on the water. I am shocked to see people have called this place clean when all my family and I have seen is dirt and dust everywhere you look. The last thing that is terrible about this place is the management the "pool keeper" had forced me and my family to leave the pool all because our wrist bands to be in the pool were sitting beside us instead of one our wrist where they cut off circulation. This place is dirty from top to bottom with very rude employees if you are looking for a place to stay I would save the $ and find a better place to use it. read more

I wasn't sure what this place would look like from the website but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We booked a room with a kitchenette for my family with 2 small kids. The room was clean, bright and airy. The room had a separate living area that included a 6 person dining table, a couch with a TV. The kitchenette was perfect and very clean. It also came stocked with kitchen essentials such as pots, pans, utensils that I wasn't expecting. The bedroom was a good size with 2 queen beds, TV and a large unit to store and hang clothes. Sometimes staying at the shore can be hit or miss and you find yourself in an awful hotel, not the case here. The staff was very friendly, there was ample covered parking and some uncovered parking. The beach was steps from the hotel. The pool was heated and comfortable. There was a Jacuzzi tub as well. A foot shower right outside of the pool. The elevator was a bit slow so we usually took the stairs but that was still ok. You have to drive to the boardwalk which stinks a bit, but honestly I rather be in a nice hotel and drive to the fun than in a dirty hotel right outside the fun. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we are definitely going back next year. We stayed at the shore multiple times this summer and this is the only place I would go back to. If you need recommendations on where to go ACME supermarket was great for groceries. Morey's Piers was great for the kids but you can spend a lot of money real fast. Harbor Light Golf was close by, reasonably priced and fun for the kids Kohr Bros Frozen Custard was so good. I wasn't sure about the custard but you have to try this place, there are several around, so worth it. The only negative I'd say would be the length of the beach, it's so long, so get ready to hike to the water. But that's Wildwood. read more

Love coming to the Beau Rivage and have been doing so for many years. Happily surprised by the upgraded kitchenette. The Front Desk Staff, Joanne, is extremly friendly and helpful. We stay in the ocean front room. They all have private balconies. Housekeeping is very efficient and very nice. There is a small cafe here that serves breakfast and lunch. Pool and pool area is always very clean. Need to wash your clothes? No problem, there are washers and dryers here and the cost for each is $1.75 . Sitting here looking at the ocean is calming and relaxing. Bathrooms are very clean too. Want a fun vacation that is right on the beach but away from the boardwalk? Beaurivage is the ticket. read more

Before writing a review, I always ask myself if I would go back to this location? In this case, the answer is no. It's not a very bad hotel but it's not a very good hotel either. It basically feels like 1975 but it's well maintained. Restaurant on site is very average. Wifi signal is very, very weak (none in the room) and not reliable. Parking has a bump (bad angle of the sidewalk) when you come in or out and I would say, by sitting on the porch (trying to get wifi signal), approximately 30% of vehicles scratched the under front or back bumper. When I politely complained about the Wifi signal, they told me the following (not relevant points): We had a storm yesterday. Next day, are you with AT&T of Verizon? Next day: you have an Apple product, that's why. Next day: your Canadian, ah that's why, you need to go into your settings. Then, after I told them it's not a carrier issue or settings issue and I travel for business and never have carrier or settings issue when public wifi is available, it appeared to be a signal strength (or lack their of) issue, then the started saying you have to sit at the kitchen table to get signal... Basically confirming a signal strength problem. As I said, I would not go back. I would try to find another location. If absolute last place available in Wildwood, then I'd go to Cape May. read more

While this location is on the beach, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The staff was unfriendly/not professional. I needed to alter my stay by 1 day (6 night total) and was refused. Their policy clearly states there is a service charge for a cancellation. I'm not saying they refused a refund, they refused any cancellation at all. I was told 'You can't do that'. I was expected to pay in full for no service provided. I was told in a most unpleasant manner that they did not have a service charge policy at all. The story continued to change the more I spoke with the front desk clerk. (Like a minimum stay that's not mentioned online.) Things such as 'You can't expect us to post every policy online'. What???? Of course, I expect the refund policy clearly posted. And, strangely enough, after stepping away and re-approaching the desk, the plague mysteriously disappeared stating this policy. The story goes on and on. I'll end it with something more useful.....I recommend staying only if you are a smoker or don't mind it at all. Every room is provided an ashtray on the shared balcony. I walked past a smoker every time I left or came back to my room. And, lucky me, I even got to room next to a cigar smoker. I know some people enjoy smoking. I do not. read more
