Monday - Checked in. Like all hospitality businesses they are under staffed. So we needed to wait a while till the rooms were ready. We met the two ladies working to get our rooms ready. Couldn't be nicer. They were through, and needed to ready what looked to be 20+ rooms. I suggest you be patient, if you can't then go home. We waited by going to get some lunch and a walk. Our room was clean, clean linens and towels. We brought our own pillows and blankets. If you can't figure that out from the reading the other reviews then go home. Our room had 2 double beds very firm mattresses so if that's a problem bring a pad. I've read enough reviews to know what I'm getting and don't act so surprised. We parked in a single spot and they do have additional parking up the street. So stop whining about the parking. Simone the manager was very nice and we chatted for a while. COVID decimated this town and it these places are trying to get back to making a profit. So tip your housekeepers. There are 2 of them so leave 10 a night. If You're from Jersey then you tip hard. If you're cheap then shame on you. You stay here because it's convenient, clean and you like being around people. The partiers, crowds and noise are all part of it's charm. You don't come here to get rest, calm and solitude. If you want that then you're in the wrong state. If you grew up in Nj like I did we'll share but we won't shed a tear if you leave unhappy. We love this place. The inconveniences are all easily overcome. We book early in the year so we get great prices $141 a night. $500 less than if we booked now in July ($635 vs close to $1300 w/taxes & fees) for the same 4 nights Mon-Fri. I've read the reviews on all the major sites for the place. Most seem to be from those who are unable to manage their own expectations. They see problems I see it opportunities. We will be back again in the fall and again next summer. We really love it here, and you can too if you choose too. read more

This was the most horrible hotel/motel experience I have ever had. Upon arrival the office was locked and there were no hotel staff to be found. We had to call Tony (the manager) to come to the hotel to check us in. He arrived dirty and rude and grumbled through checking us in, charged us an additional made up "resort" fee, and informed us that the "piggyback parking" meant that if another guest parked behind us we would have to attempt to locate them ourselves to have them move their vehicle. Upon entering the room we were assaulted with the most horrendous odor, picture a combination of stale cigar smoke and urine. The room was filthy dirty: sticky, sandy tile floor, clumps of dirt in corners, dead bugs under bed. The bed frame was repaired with duct tape. Mold on box spring and pillow cases, and on air conditioner. Save your money and your health! Sleep in your car!! read more

Only 1 star because of location. Literally everything else is horrible. We spent $1,400 for 2 rooms for 2 days. We got 2 half rolls of toilet paper for 8 adults and 2 bars of soap. As others have stated it's dirty, guy is barely ever around or if he is you get to wake him up in the room next door. Piggyback parking is insane, luckily we had 2 cars and didn't have an issue but if we didn't you have to find someone to let you out lol. I can't NOT RECOMMEND this place enough. read more

Located right on the boardwalk, with quick walks to beach, amusements, water park and nearby restaurants. A typical motel for the beach area, so although size and price would be negatives outside the beach area, high prices and small rooms are standard for motels along the beach. Check in was quick and easy across the street at the Nantucket motel, and we lucked out with parking right under the motel. The manager "Alex" even called the afternoon of our check-in to see what time we were expecting to arrive. There is an ATM in the front lobby if needed. The motel was clean inside and out. The rooms were small, but nice, with tile floors, mini-fridge, sink, toilet/shower and flat screen television on the wall. We didnt spend much time in the room so a small room wasnt too inconvenient. Outside pool was small, but also typical of nearby motels. Approx 30ft x 15ft, shallow end was 4ft, center 6ft and deep end was 8ft. Pool area had plenty of small tables and lounge chairs, with a view overlooking Ocean Ave. Rite Aid across the street for any forgotten items, and several diners and restaurants within a couple blocks if you get tired of eating Boardwalk food. Try Stella's Cafe on Atlantic and E Baker Ave Ice machine and plenty of garbage/recycle bins on site. All maids and employees we saw were very friendly and helpful. read more

upon check in no one was in the office there was also no parking. owner was sleeping in a chair outside door. i had asked for a room on first floor i could even tolerate 2nd. but i am a plus size and have knee and ankle issues he put us on 3rd floor. No elevator, no phone no clock, no hair dryer, double size beds who uses that anymore. put some soda and water in fridge it froze told guy he s broke he said oh well turn thermostat Grrrr it is... i went to get ice. guess what that's broken too we left our room at at 9 am just got a back room had not been cleaned or bed made.the pillows suck and 4 minutes the pillows don't even measure 1 inch high. the owner did give us his parking spot and carried my bag up that's the least he did. very disgusted very upset pleases don't stay here you will be disappointed. won't be here again read more

My party and I stayed here and were treated disrespectfully throughout the entire weekend. We had close to 20 people in our party and Tony, the business manager, was extremely rude to us. Being a group of our size, we were very conscious of the noise level and did our absolute best to keep the noise down. This, apparently, was not enough for Tony whose expectation was needing absolute silence as soon as it got slightly dark outside. Instead of having a calm, respectful conversation with us to make us aware that there was an issue, he decided to yell and curse at several members of my party and threatened to throw us out. He even had the audacity to make rude comments to our group as we were checking out. The man clearly does not care about how he treats his customers. He's only looking to do the bare minimum so he can sit on his lounge chair on the first floor and do nothing all day. As for the rooms themselves, we found several issues. The worst of which we're all of fridges being unplugged when we arrived and having little to no hot water from the showers. In addition, no staff came around to ask if we needed anything like extra towels or garbage bags throughout our stay. We will not be staying here ever again and I suggest you stay away from Lounge Chair Tony and this place. read more

We just stayed there for a mini vacation and had a wonderful time. The most important thing I have to say is that I forgot something quite valuable when we checked out and Tony, the manager, found it and kept it in the office until we were able to get back there to pick it up. We are so appreciative of his honesty. That alone will ensure that we will be back there in the future because honesty of that level is very rare. He is also very concerned that his guests are having a good experience. If there are any problems at all, he will tend to them immediately. Absolutely HORRIBLE! I would give zero stars if I could. They use a system called "piggy back parking" where they make you pull up into a spot and block someone in or you're blocked in and if you don't, they make you use a shady run down parking lot 3 very long blocks away. single mom here on vacay with my 6 year old and the manager pulled us out of the pool twice to move my car. Once bc they Wanted me to move up to be blocked in so someone who just checked in can park behind me, and once bc someone that was already parked a few spots over can get out. the manager argued with me about having to park in the parking lot 3 blocks away and I had to walk with my son early the next morning to get the car. A very nice experience located on the southern end of the boardwalk. Beach entrance around the corner as well as Mack's Pizza. Clean cozy room, ala old school Wildwood. Pool was clean and Tony the manager was always asking us if we needed anything. Parking is doubled-up, again like the days when folks drove CARS and not huge SUVs. It's a hotel and was conveniently located close to where our 8k race was starting. We only stayed one night and since we were running a race the day we were leaving the manger generously allowed us to have a little bit later checkout so we could shower before the ride home. I did find a few ants crawling on the counter by the coffee machine. There was a sign saying complimentary coffee pods and there wasn't any. Not a big deal for me since I don't drink coffee but my friend was wanting some in the morning. Don't expect much and you'll be happy with your Wildwood visit. read more

My boyfriend and I booked a mini weekend getaway September 1st- September 3rd and I have to say that this motel was absolutely disgusting. Our rooms floor was sticky.. clearly not cleaned. The bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around in it.. smelled god awful and the shower looked like it wasn't cleaned in weeks from the soap grime on the walls and tub. Housekeeping came Saturday afternoon (around 2 pm), but I was sleeping so my boyfriend asked them to come back later. Guess what? No one came back. So from Friday night to Sunday we slept in the same sheets, only had 1 towel to share between the two of us on Sunday morning, since we were only given 4 towels (enough to last us Friday and Saturday alone). Coffee pods and creamer were complimentary in the room.. if only our creamers didn't expire 3 weeks before our arrival. Though this motel is RIGHT on the boardwalk and for what it costed us.. I'd rather book somewhere else even if it means I have to drive to the boardwalk to have a nice place to sleep. Won't be returning. PS: CHECK YOUR SHEETS BEFORE YOU SLEEP IN THEM. read more

My wife and two girls stayed here for a week, Its not a high end place, but its definitely worth the price they give you, cable in the rooms, pool, Nice and cold ac works very well, BUT, wifi only worked out while i was out side, didnt work in the rooms, my neighbor next to me , and under me a few rooms down confirmed that it wasnt just me experiencing this issue. The owners son stated that its a known issue and will be fixed by next year. Other than that, We had a pleasant stay, the room are very clean, workers, and owners are very nice. was supposed to be here 2 nights paid $562 for august 3-5,23. the place was dirty, the pool was dirty, thank God we chose not to leave our personal belongings in the hotel, we kept them in the car and only brought in what was needed and food. on august 4 we went out can back about 3pm and they has thrown out everything we left in the room said we checked out one day early however i had the key!!! after a screaming match with the owner/ manager he handed us $40 that was supposed tocover 9 adult meals they threw in the garbage and than miraculously they were able to locate some of our things that they had taken to keep!!! We were so angry we left after only staying pne night they refused to refund anything else for the rest of our missing items or for leaving one day early because they threw out our things!! Dont believe the pics! I rented what was called "a family suite" It was nothing more than a dated, somewhat smelly, studio room with 2 double beds practically 6 inches apart. I was told a vinyl couch was supposed to be the 3rd bed. There was NO WAY this place could accommodate my family for 5 days. The pool is tiny. Oh and the "ocean view" that is proclaimed is more a view of Ocean AVENUE. All the rooms face the street. We left and found a more suitable place for our family and were very happy at the Admiral. I am still fighting to get my money back. The manager is obviously in over his head there. Dont book here!!! There are wayyyyyyyy too many other great places to stay in Wildwood. I am going there all my life and never experienced anything like this. read more

My husband, myself, my brother and my two year daughter old stayed at this motel. The manager, Tony was very sweet to my family. Very personable and helpful with my daughter. The motel staff was great! Every time we came back to the motel from exploring the area, Tony would ask us how our stay was going if we needed any help. He was great! The swimming pool and location was great as well! It was nice and quiet! I would recommend this motel for families who want to visit Wildwood. The motel is a little outdated, but it was worth the stay and price! read more

If I could rate 0, I would. Rude people running the hotel. Ran out of towels and toilet paper. They discriminate towards people who are under 25 years old. The owner got upset with me because I was mad we were waiting over an hour. He told me to try and work there for a weekend. Very childish. The only positive factor was the location. Very satisfied for the price given. Nothing fancy however VERY CLEAN and the perfect place for couples, families, and friend vacations. Brand new rooms and very friendly service. The owner is very nice and helpful. Not a place for parties or prom weekends, which keeps it in great condition. Right on ocean Ave next to the boardwalk you can walk anywhere and get free parking on site. The pool is taken care of as well which is nice for kids. My child and classmates rented out the majority of the hotel for their prom weekend. They were taken advantage of and charged their full security deposit even though they left the room cleaner than it was when they arrived. I tried to speak with the manager (Leslie - Ms Personality) but she really had no response and would not contact the owner. Also the adjoining hotel - the Nantucket had an ultra loud group that was a nuisance to anyone in a five block radius. Other parents have contacted the hotel and received the same non- response. We will be contacting the better business bureau, other review websites and the authorities. read more

I made a reservation in February at this motel for a stay at the end of July. Unfortunately a family member had to have an unexpected surgery that caused her to be off of work for 3 months and we decided to postpone our vacation until next year and use the money we had saved for vacation to help her pay her bills while she is off. I sent an email cancelling my reservation to the email address provided on my reservation confirmation on 5/30/18. I received no response. I then contacted the motel by telephone on 6/5/18 and verbally cancelled my reservation. I was told a check would be sent to me with my refund. I did not receive a check. I telephoned again on 6/27/18 and was informed the check was never sent. The man I spoke to was very apologetic and indicated the check would be put in the mail to me the next day. It is now 7/14/18 and I still haven't received my refund. I called on 7/13/18 but got no answer. I left a voicemail requesting a return call but haven't received one. I sent a message through Facebook messenger, which shows it has been viewed, but no response. Our plan was to stay at Casa del Sole next year, but there is no way in hell I will do that now. My payment was made via credit card so I don't understand why it can't just be credited back to the card. I don't know what else to do. read more
