But, oh. Those summer Nites! (Tell me more, tell me more....) My wife and I have never been to the Jersey Shore. I had booked a spot for Corvettes on the Boardwalk in Ocean City and needed a place to crash. But where? I found Summer Nites and from the pictures it looked like a beautiful seaside mansion. Sold! We arrived on Saturday night for a two night stay. Sheila greeted us and proudly showed us her home. The theme throughout the home is the fabulous 50's. We're shown into the kitchen and it is a beautiful recreation of a 50's style diner. Each booth has a few quarters to play the authentic jukebox loaded with, yep! 50s and 60s style records. I had that bad boy crankin' the Beach Boys and Frankie Valli. There is a working Coke machine (with dimes in a can) grab yourself a bottle anytime! There are two working hot tubs on the property and the front porch has rocking chairs to sit and relax. In the garage, Sheilas husband has his 57 Chevy waiting to cruise. Sheila & Rick are car people too?? Very very cool. Each morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast. To start, a large fruit cup and freshly baked muffins were waiting for us. I poured myself a coffee as I was served a delicious homemade waffle and sausage. This has to be the best Bed & Breakfast I ever stayed at. Our room was the Marilyn Monroe room. Lots of Pink! When I walked into the room, I didn't know what to expect. My wife filled up the Jacuzzi and used the bath bomb in the water. After a 10 minute soak, I can understand why JFK kept Marilyn as his side piece. We checked out on Monday, we were the only guests in the B&B. Sheila sat with us and we talked about the future events at Summer Nites. Sheila, I can honestly say we had a great time and cannot wait to return next year. read more

May 23, 2025 We returned from our second stay at Summer Nites in Wildwood NJ. Shelia and Rick have a wonderful Bed and Breakfast and from the moment you walk in you are welcomed with a very warm cheerful greeting. Shelia and Rick are the most pleasant, friendliest people and they go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. All the rooms have a different theme from the 50's, 60's & 70's. There is an Elvis Room that is all decorated in black and gold, a 70's room with a real working disco ball above the jacuzzi tub. Our favorite and the room we stayed in both times is "Life is a Beach". The bed is very comfortable. Loved that there was a small refrigerator in the room, the only suggestion would be to have 2 chairs for sitting on in the evening. We had a chair in our car from when we went to our granddaughter's softball games and that worked out great. Shelia and Rick thought of everything that will truly bring you back to reliving the past eras. Breakfast and afternoon refreshments are served in a room that resembles a 50's style diner and each booth has an authentic jukebox loaded with 50's, 60's and 70's style music. Shelia & Rick supply the quarters so you can select your favorite songs to listen to while enjoying breakfast and later in the afternoon while enjoying your refreshments. There is even a working Coke machine to grab yourself a bottle of coke anytime, with dimes that are supplied on top of the machine in a Coke tin. There are 4 rooms on the first floor with a private entrances: Life's a Beach, 70's Disco, Elvis, 60's Suite (this room is ADA accessible). In the common area, there is a Keurig coffee machine so you can get a cup of coffee or hot tea anytime. There is also a full-size pool table on the main floor, and a few neat vintage pinball games await on the lower level that all you have to do is turn them on to play. I highly recommend staying here, as the entire place is immaculately clean with private parking. There are even bikes you can take out. A favorite thing for us was sitting on the front porch with coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening on the wicker rockers with a nice breeze. Omg this was the best bed and breakfast we have ever experienced!! I haven't stayed at a ton, but this one by far passed all expectations and has set the standard very high, I don't even know how I'm going to find another bed and breakfast as amazing as this one. Everything is 1950's themed and the hostess and her husband is what really makes this place so amazing. It would still be great aside from them as far as decor and amenities, but they are truly the experience! The hostess is so funny and was a pleasure every time we spoke to her. I don't know who the chef is for breakfast, but the food was very filling and great quality everyday. I like that she gives you a menu to choose options the night before and then you always get juice/coffee/tea, the prettiest fruit cup I've ever had (fruit in a frozen glass topped with shaved coconut), warm bread of the day (one day it was lemon and the next it was pistachio for us), then your entree which is typically either an omelette or something else (French toast one day and waffles the other day when we were there). You won't leave breakfast hungry, that's for sure. She also sets out quarters so you can play any music you want in the jukebox. She not only gives an amazing breakfast experience but everyday at 4pm she also has a happy hour with free milkshakes, root beer floats and warm pretzels! I don't even like pretzels, but I still got it and don't regret any of it. Downstairs, there's a game room of old arcade games (the pinball one is Elvis themed!) and all games are completely free. She also has a very old coke bottle dispenser that takes dimes so she has a box full of dimes for you to get free drinks. On top of all these cool old-style amenities, there are 2 hot tubs open until 11pm and a good amount of bikes you can use at your leisure. We took part in everything (but the hot tubs because we didn't have enough time, but our room had a jacuzzi tub so we used that!). This bed and breakfast is also super close to the boardwalk (about 2 blocks). We got a chance to see all the rooms as people checked out and the housekeepers let us step in and have a look as they were cleaning. The Elvis room is by far the largest and the coolest, but we still had an amazing room that's priced in the middle tier. We had the TV room and the decor is so well-thought out, even the little things. We cannot wait to stay here and again and try out other rooms! read more

We recently attended a wedding held here and many of the guests stayed overnight. The place is awesome. Great decorating with every room different. Driving up to the house the first sighting was the stunning lawn that was perfectly manicured and flowers that were beautiful. The wraparound porch and ample parking was a major plus. The owner Shelia makes you feel like family like somebody's grandma or Aunt or cool mom. She is very personable, and is willing to do anything to accommodate you as a guest. The rooms are all ample in size and uniquely different. Although, I did not eat there due to other commitments, the food smelt delicious. The cleanliness of the house with due to amazing house keepers just took my stay to a whole other level. I will forever be a guest when I do come to the area and I have already recommended it to family and friends for future travel. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to stay in the Wildwood area. I forgot to mention the price for a stay, is very reasonable. read more

Seriously, if you are looking for an alternative to hotels/motels and oversized condos this is the place for you. It is beautifully maintained and each room has its own theme which is super fun, like 60's, beach, Marilyn Monroe, etc. we have stayed in every room on the lower level which all have their private entrances, which is cool. We stayed in the Elvis room this time, complete with a working (tokens) Elvis juke box. Breakfast is served every morning in a room that has been made to look like a fifties style diner. This is the best place in the shore for a couple to spend a few days. A couple blocks to the beach and an easy drive anywhere. We are sad to leave. Sheila and her staff are amazing. read more

Delightfully eccentric. If plain-Jane is the way you roll, look elsewhere. Go to your run of the mill hotel and skip Summer Nites. BUT, if you want a fun, interesting place to lay your head that is walking distance to the beach and boardwalk, don't miss this B and B. The decor is 50s themed. Every clean, comfortable guest room has it's own 50s basis - Elvis, movies, music, etc. The delicious made-to-order breakfast in the "diner" includes the owner Sheila in a poodle skirt and an era appropriate jukebox with tabletop controls! (Quarters are provided.) The property also includes a game room with vintage pinball. Don't be concerned, though. There are modern amenities like private bathrooms, Wi-fi, bicycles and a hot tub. Top off all of that with a super friendly staff and convenient parking. Go generic if you want, but I think life is too short to be boring. read more

My first Bed and Brekafast ever! And it set the bar super high. I absolutely loved staying here!!! I recently stayed at Summer Nites for a trip to Wildwood I took for my 27th Birthday. When I arrived at the location I was prompty greeted and welcomed by Sheila the owner of this location. She gave us a ton of information about the area and gave a walkthrough of the house. Sheila's energy is immediately captivating and inviting, and gave a comfort and ease to an ultimately amazing experience. The house is absolutely charming with fifties themed rooms and a doo app diner for breakfast. There's a vintage coke machine downstairs in which she provided dimes for the sodas and she even provides bikes to ride if your up for it. There is also a jacuzzi upstairs on the second floor, although I was in the Elvis Suite so I had to luck to have my own hot tub in room. The food was Definately one of the best parts of the experience the breakfast is like a three course breakfast, you start off with a fruit cup, then second with the loaf of the day, and then your main entree. Which you get to choose from two different choices each day, and the options change day by day. At 4 you even get a snack pretzels and your choice of a root beer float or milkshake. The food was homemade and delicious, my boyfriend and I both cleaned our plates each time. And most of all it saves you a ton of money on eating out. The charm of this Bed and Breakfast, along with the deliciousness of the food, and the proximity to everything in the area, This is Definately going to be my go to place to stay next time I head down to wildwood, and I cannot wait to try every single room in the location. We just spent 4 nights at Summer Nites and it was great! This was our third stay with them. The facility is charming, fun and very clean. Not only do they provide rooms, but great breakfasts and afternoon snacks, too. Guests aren't limited to their rooms. Besides the dining room (which includes working juke boxes on the tables and a pile of quarters for you to use) there is a pool table, arcade games and a reading room with books to read and tapes to watch on the TV, as well as a lovely, large porch with tables and rocking chairs. The owners and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend Summer Nites for your stay at the shore! read more

This was our first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast and Summer Nites was the RIGHT choice. I was so impressed with the 50's theme with all the decor details. We enjoyed our delicious breakfast and snack in the 50's themed diner while listening to the oldies on an authentic vintage jukebox. There are 8 themed rooms including the Marilyn Monroe room where we stayed, which was mostly decorated in pink (my husband didn't mind as it's his favorite color) and photos and memorabilia of Ms. Monroe. The entire place was immaculately clean with private parking. The location is so convenient, only a few blocks from the boardwalk. Sheila and Rick were wonderful hosts, making sure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We can't say enough about Summer Nites. I am so glad that we stumbled upon Summer Nites Bed & Breakfast in North Wildwood for a last minute getaway! The owner Sheila made us feel so welcome from the very first phone call. We stayed in the 70's Room and loved it! The 70's memorabilia and the attention to throwback detail really made you feel nostalgic. It was nice to have our own entrance and park and lock up our bikes right outside the door. If you don't bring your own bikes-no problem-they have some there for you to use. The bed and breakfast is in a great location- close to the beach, boardwalk, and many restaurants! And even though Summer Nites doesn't have their diner open right now because of COVID, don't despair because Sheila and Frannie and her girls are still serving up some delicious goodies for breakfast as well as milkshakes and root beer floats and pretzels in the late afternoon. They have a large deck perfect for social distancing and areas that are in the shade with a nice breeze (which is a must have on a 96 degree day)! Summer Nites is the best place to stay! We were greeted so warmly by Sheila, one of the owners. She gave us a tour of the upgraded 50 style bed and breakfast. The rooms were cozy and extremely clean with matching robes too! The hot tub was up on the deck and was so clean and refreshing after a day on the beach. Sheila's mom and herself made breakfast, which was included in the price and had a nice size fresh fruit cup, juice, coffee and a hardy portion of one of two choices for breakfast. They also had a pool table, juke boxes, pinball machines and the old school glass Coke bottles. The hospitality by far cannot be matched! Sheila even tells you of great restaurants to eat for lunch and dinner. Her friend Fran was visiting the bed and breakfast at the time and she was just as fun and friendly. I love that family feel and welcoming demeanor of Summer Nites and would highly recommend staying there. read more

My fiance and I found this gem for our first year together for New Year's Eve. We had never been to a bed and breakfast before, and weren't quite sure what to expect. Well, Summer Nites is the only bed and breakfast that we will stay at. When you walk in the door, you go back to the 50's and 60's era. Now you have to understand I am in my 30's, but it is so neat to go back to that time. Sheila's rooms are all beatifully done. I have stayed in the Life's a Beach room and also the Movie Room. You never have to worry about not having anything to do on a rainy day at the shore, as Summer Nites has old movies you can watch, a pool table you can play, games and pin ball machines. The front porch is also a great place to just sit and read and rock in the rocking chairs available. As for the breakfasts, there is enough to keep you happy until snack time. I am always very full from her breakfasts, and you get to choose from two different choices. You eat your breakfast in a 50's style diner which have jukeboxes at your table. How cool is that!!! At 4:00 p.m. is snack time and you get your choice of either a milk shake or root beer float and a pretzel. Sheila, the owner, makes you feel at home when you come in the door. If you need a good reference for dinner or for anything else, she is the one to go to. Summer Nites is my home away from home at least three times a year, as it doesn't matter when you go done to the shore. If you are looking for a place to take you back in time, but is also relaxing and fun, then Summer Nites is the place to go. read more

Before going, I suspected all the glowing reviews were bound to be fake. But now I'm adding another! I'm not big on BNB's...only stayed in one before. But this place was so much fun! I really enjoyed the rootbeer floats and soft pretzels in the "diner", and the breakfasts were really very good. And filling enough that we skipped lunch both days. The thing that surprised me most was how much fun the hostess and her mom, the chef, were. I loved the suite we stayed in, the 60's suite, which had me feeling I had gone back in time 50 years! It's obvious the hosts really have fun decorating the place. Each room is unique. Several have spas in the room, although we didn't use ours. I only regretted we didn't allow for more time at the BnB. And the place was incredibly clean, a nice bonus. I highly recommend this place! read more

Wow, Summer Nites really turned my notion of what makes a bed and breakfast on it's head! You won't find silly doilies, stuffy sitting rooms, and warmed-over scones here... it's 100% modern and 100% retro 1950s at the same time. Before I get into the details, let me just say that makes this a great place is the people. The owner, Sheila, is one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Always has a smile on her face, always willing to take care of any needs or answer any questions. Her mother, Sandy, not only serves up your breakfast, but a side of great conversation in the morning (but only if you want it!). We stayed in the "Movie Room," the smallest of the them all, but the size was still adequate for our needs. The bathroom was a normal size, with a full shower (not a cramped stall!), so that was a big plus. To say the room was clean would be understatement -- it was immaculate. Plenty of great nostalgic touches; there was a James Dean trashcan in the bathroom! Breakfast each morning was great! Fresh fruit, warm muffin, and a very generous entree. Omelets, waffles, stuffed French toast... nothing fancy, but very fortifying for a day on the beach and boardwalk. They even have a jukebox with the at-table controls, so you can rock out to some oldies while you enjoy your cuppa. Nice! We had great weather the week we were there, but if you have to stuck indoors, this is the place to be. There are a couple of vintage pinball machines, another jukebox, and plenty of classic flicks to take back to the DVD player in your room. Bottom line, this place is a real winner. The room where you are severed breakfast looks like a diner from the 50's. In each room the decor is different, and every detail in the room matches it's name, such as " life's a beach room" everything in the room has to do with the beach, even the DVD, beach blanket bingo. Sheila ( the owner) does not miss one thing when it comes to detail. The first time we stayed there, I was pulling off the sheets to see who the mattress was made by, I have never before slept on anything as comfortable in my life. Breakfast is wonderful, Sheila's Mom cooks breakfast, coffee is waiting as soon as you get up, once you sit down to eat, a fresh fruit cup is brought over, than fresh baked muffins are placed on the table, juice and than your breakfast entree. We look so forward to this, the food is just wonderful, a great start to the day. The theme carries throughout the whole building and they really thought of every detail. Breakfast is delicious and served in a 50s style diner room with a jukebox. They even have a small game room with vintage pinball machines and a vintage Coke machine. It's in a great location with only a short 2 block walk to the boardwalk and beach. Summer Nites is by far the best place to stay in Wildwood. Sheila and her family are amazing hosts and make you feel at home the minute you walk through the door. The place perfectly encapsulates the 50s vibe complete with era pinball and Coca-Cola machines, as well as Jukebox and a 50s style diner as the breakfast area. The place is also complete with a pool table, fireplaces and a 6 person hot tub! It is located 2 blocks from the beach and even offer you beach towels and Bike rentals. Perhaps the best part is that Sheila's mom makes you breakfast in the morning and it is the best breakfast in the state of New Jersey! Summer Nites is on the top of my list when it comes to places to stay in Wildwood and I couldn't recommend it any higher. read more

We were a little unsure about the whole 50's theme, until we got to Summer Nites and saw how well-done it was. Sheila is an excellent host and made sure we had everything we needed. While the theme is the 1950's, everything is updated and modern, and we found our room to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. Summer Nites is a real gem. I stayed here for three nights while visiting the Wildwood/Cape May area, and found it to be clean, comfortable and charming. I really enjoyed my stay. I had the Marilyn room and loved it. My sister and brother-in-law had the music room and my friend had the 50s TV room. We were all raving about the place all weekend. The owner Sheila was warm and gracious. She and her husband Rick have done an excellent job decorating this lovely property. There are so many nice touches throughout. Breakfasts were delicious (the breakfast room is designed like a diner with a jukebox on each table). My room was cleaned and freshened promptly while I enjoyed breakfast. They even serve root beer floats, milk shakes and soft pretzels each afternoon in the diner. If you are nostalgic for the 50s and 60s this is your place.
