Beau Thai - First time trying the Vermecilli Duck Thai - YUM! - Thai Near Me - Evergreen, Colorado

For traditional Thai flavors, Beau Thai fits the need quite well. On the last visit I had the Panang Curry which had a nice strong coconut flavor, along with hints of spices common to Thai food such as lemon grass, lime, and chili paste. The fried wontons were not that great though and are not something I will order again. Although they appeared to be house-made, they were lacking in flavor and the sauce they were paired with was pretty bland as well. The food is spicy, if ordered as such, and is something I appreciate greatly. Nothing offends me more than ordering spicy food that turns out to be mild at best. American tastes have evolved over the past couple of decades and other ethnic restaurants can take a notice of Beau Thai as accommodating the evolution! I went at night (8pm) and the service was quite poor. I think one of the owners was our waitress but am not sure. They didn't do anything wrong, they just didn't do anything other than take our order. No music was playing; therefore, it was a bit strange to sit in a quiet restaurant since no other patrons were present either until the end of the meal. We visited Evergreen for mountain bike ride and decided to stay for lunch. The restaurant is not super busy and place is nicely decorated and clean. We ordered a Thai Panang and Pai Thai medium spicy. Both dishes were tasty, but chicken and pork were overdone and tough. White rice didn't taste fresh and its texture felt like rice was from day before. Portions were reasonable for lunch. Lunches were good but we will not return. read more

Food here is great and quite reasonably priced for Evergreen. Pad Thai and curry dishes are great, as is the Pad see ew. We've also tried some of the stir fries and have been happy with those as well. This has become one of our favorite places to roll into after returning home from a long day skiing. So we decided to give it a try and so very glad we did, the food was fresh and flavorful!! Just perfect! I don't like l bad reviews but I our experience here was really bad. I wanted Thai but was too tired to cook so we ordered take out. We had pork red curry, a duck plate, pad see ew and pad thai. ALL of us, in one way, shape, pr form, got sick not even an hour after dinner. My husband got full blown sick, my son and I had stomach issues (running to the bathroom type), and my daughter got severe stomach cramps. We did not share the food so it wasn't like there was one particular dish that was "off". We have Thai food quite regularly so we aren't newcomers to the heat or taste. This is my fave Thai place. Their spring rolls are super fresh and the creamy peanut sauce is to die for. If I am getting carry out, I love to sit at the bar with some hot sake and an order of spring rolls while I wait for them to make my curry. All the curry is wonderful but my go-to is there green curry. Love it with either shrimp or tofu! Service is always great. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner! read more

We moved up here about a month ago and have eaten here maybe 5-6 times already? We've done mostly takeout but have dined in once; the food is some of the best Thai I've had, ever. We've gotten curries, noodle dishes and both Tom kha and Tom yum soups, they've all been consistently delicious. The crab wontons are addicting and not what you normally get at Thai restaurants, definitely taste housemade maybe? Veggie friendly, huge portions, delicious food, doesn't get much better. *do not order/come here if you're in a hurry though, they definitely seem to be understaffed however service is ALWAYS kind and friendly.* read more

I just had an extremely disappointing meal here. It surprises me because the majority of the reviews here are all very good, but that was not my experience here at all. I had been here before and found it underwhelming then, but returned on the strength of the yelp reviews. Ooops - sometimes even yelp misses the mark. I had the fried spring rolls and they were utterly meh. They were hot - and that was about all I enjoyed about them. I wish I had taken a picture of the "garnish" on the plate - prepared with zero care. This was followed by the Green Curry with "Rubber Band Beef". I know, spoiler alert, but that was the most rubbery beef I have EVER had served to me anywhere, period. Some of it was so grisly it couldn't be chewed - I hate having to spit food out at a restaurant. The broccoli in the curry was barely warmed, the green beans were raw and stringy. I didn't particularly like the curry sauce either. Now - I'm not a seasoned pro when it comes to Thai food, but I've had plenty of curries that I really enjoyed and this was not one of them by a long shot. Oh, and the service - bored and uninterested. I actually would have asked for a different plate if she'd come back in time to find out how much I disliked my food - but by the time she came back I just didn't care anymore. Then, I was greeted by the most amazing pile of bird shit - weeks worth of it - right out their front door when I left. If I had noticed that on the way in, I never would have opened the front door. No way would a caring owner leave that there. An extremely disappointing visit - next time I'm in the area I will not stray past the Himalayan place a few stores down. The first thing I said to my wife when we got in the car was "remind me to never go there again, that was awful". Word. read more

I'm glad there is a Tha place in Evergreen, but I'd rather go down the hill. The food is not near as good as other places, the service was sub-par, and the ambiance was like a truck stop. Waited for a long time (10 minutes on lunch break) to order, the basil chicken I ordered had no basil, the water tasted like bleach so I ordered ice tea, which never came. We went to enjoy Thai food from Georgetown CO after driving all the way for 30 minutes. And ordered veg Green Curry & Tom Kha soup. These contained 90% fried Tofu & White onion served in a concoction of coconut milk & sugar. Love Beau Thai. The food is fresh, steaming hot, and so delicious. My favorite dish is the Pad Se Ew with chicken. The food has amazing flavor. The vegetables are crisp tender, full or flavor, and the carrots are even cut into cool shapes. The sauce in this dish is savory and slightly sweet. I like to add a little bit of heat on the side. Also, the fried egg really makes it! I highly recommend. The appetizers are great too. I've eaten here probably 4 times over the last few years and I have not been disappointed once. read more

Hubby and I went for the first time on Labor Day weekend Sunday evening. We arrived half hour before they closed and could not have been greeted with a warmer attitude. We were provided great service and at no moment did we feel pressured to rush because it was near their closing time. We are both vegetarians and enjoyed their spring rolls, 2 pad Thais with tofu, and fried rice also with tofu. Everything was reasonably priced and so delicious! The portions are very generous. Beau Thai is a nice little local place in a Bergen Park shopping center. Typical Thai fare and atmosphere. Nothing special, but still very good. The service is outstanding and they do have a full bar. If you are in the area, try it; but don't make a special trip! The Pad Thai is really good. read more
