Original : I know the stylists have their own way of booking or dealing with affairs apart of the salon but I think it's wild they have a rebooking fee of over $30 if client has to reschedule last minute their appointments BUT when I get my appointment canceled TWICE by the stylist ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT , due to "family emergencies" that apparently always happen. I think it's wild that a stylist can waste a clients time and day considering the first time it was canceled I had planned to get my hair cut before my birthday trip and today it got canceled I had just told my boss no to coming in for a shift because of my scheduled appointment ... what do we clients get in return besides wasted time and lost money ? At least she returned my $20 deposit that has been kept since August but damn , homegirl really needs to take care of home before taking appointments , we have a life out here too.

Her salon is small & tucked away in a little plaza in Long Beach, but so worth finding! We actually know about her because my mom's coworker referred us! The atmosphere is so intimate with only 3 salon chair. Oh! She treated us to complimentary ramen & donuts lol. Prices are unbelievably affordable.. only $400 for both of us, including tip! That's rare these days!! The only small note is that Maly has a bit of a heavy hand while working!! My mom on the other hand said she actually loved it because it felt like a scalp massage . Overall, we're obsessed with our new hair and will definitely be back.

This can be hard to do, especially since I have ethnic hair and about a decade of vivids, henna color, and other experiments in my hair. I came in with blue and purple fun hair. This is my hair after two sessions and she's done a great job delivering on Grey blending. She found an ashy beige that would work with blending in with my silvers. She really understands color. I wish I could give this place six stars! That is how good they are. the ladies that work at this place are so kind and so cool it is something that I definitely appreciate. My wife got her hair done at this location recently and she was so happy. The smile that was on her face is something I will never forget. It has been a hard time for us over the last year and a half as we have recently moved to the area from out of state. She was having a really hard time finding places to help her feel beautiful. I do my absolute best when I am here at home but it's not the same so when we went to this salon we really were not expecting much but we got so much more! The job they did on my way for something that I will always cherish. She looked absolutely amazing and more importantly she felt beautiful as well. Carmelle is so incredibly sweet and kind! It felt like chatting with an old friend. She did a great job with my hair. I tend to have problems since my hair is so thick, but she knew exactly what to do so I wouldn't have it in my face all the time. I have received nothing but compliments since my appointment. my friends say its the best my hair has ever looked. She really took her time and did amazing quality work. Her pricing is fair (and listed on her website). She follows all COVID guidelines and ensures that the environment is safe for all her guests. She can manage almost any hair type and I just felt safe in her studio. So down to earth and I wish I could go back tomorrow to have another chat haha. I wish I could hit 100 plus stars, but sadly yelp only allows 5. Carmelle is amazing, both as a hair stylist and a person. I was looking for someone who could grip my shirt hair, and it's hard to find honest and awesome hairstylist in LA. So when I was put on to Carmelle and seen her work I knew I had to let her work her magic! And my connect was right. She gave me the best experience from the second I walked through the door! Carmelle is super talented! She gave me the prettiest blonde balayage with a cute short and layered cut. It was exactly what I wanted and I keep getting compliments! I was super pleased to see that my hair is still shiny, soft, and healthy after going from a light brown/dirty blonde to a bright blonde. She braids in a tiny *ss room with no mirrors and zero conversation which was odd for a 7hour long appt. With the recent spikes in COVID, I wanted to check in and ask about her disinfecting in between clients and stuff. A very valid question that anyone would and SHOULD have. She should be proud of her taking care of her space as keeping clients safe. She then canceled my appointment. And canceled my call, refusing to communicate with me as to why she canceled when I hadn't requested that. And zero communication from then on out. The appointment I had waited 2 months for. I have a big feeling that she outed herself and she wasn't even disinfecting. Bc if she was, why would she cancel and why wouldn't she have a conversation about it? Im in the process of growing out my gray roots and blending my grays w my hair. To achieve it Cindy helped me decide on what's right for me. Everyone will have a different journey with gray blending or when you grow out your Grey. I'm glad I found Cindy and she made it easy for me. You will start with a consultation and she will take the time to explain the process and what I need to do for my hair care routine And together you'll make a plan. Just do it. Treat yourself.
