The pedicure began, but she was a bit rough. At one point, when polish got onto my cuticles, instead of using acetone to clean it up, she used a file to scrape it off, which was uncomfortable. What made me feel most uneasy happened at the end of the service. While I was still sitting in the pedicure chair and hadn't even put my shoes back on, the technician said something to the receptionist, and the receptionist immediately came over and asked how I would be paying. I told her I would be paying through Zelle, and she gave me my total right then and there so I can pay. This caught me off guard because during my previous visits, payment was always handled at the front desk once I was ready to leave. I also noticed that the customer next to me was not asked to pay while still seated. For context, I was dressed casually in a baggy t-shirt and leggings, and I couldn't help but wonder if that played a role in how I was treated. The combination of being informed of pricing, being asked for payment before I had even gotten up from the chair, and the difference in treatment left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. overall experience was not what I've come to expect from this salon.

The fact that this thousand square-foot place was basically empty should've been my first sign. My appointment was at 4 pm. She didn't complete the appointment she previously had until 4:45. When I asked the owner and her staff what the hold up was, she kept telling me she was almost finished. 45 minutes later I finally started my pedicure. When I checked in, no one notified me she would be running late. They have pedicure menu options upwards of $75. Laughable. My gel pedicure was $75. I asked my pedicurist to do my pedicure with hot water. They had no hot water. THEY HAD NO HOT WATER!!!!! So my entire pedicure was done in cold water. I let the owner know and she said it was because they have been doing head spas all day. Again, laughable. My pedicurist insured me that she was going to give me a discount. At this point, I didn't care I just wanted to be finished. When I go to pay, the lady at the cash register hands me a gift card for $10. I asked her what that was for and she said that was my discount. I said why the hell would I want a gift card for $10? The service you provided was terrible. Why would I wanna come back here and how is this at all the compensation for waiting 45 minutes and then having to do a pedicure in cold water? She then said she could take five dollars off of my treatment. I just hugged my lady and told her to call me when she's left this place, left after paying, and will never look back.
