Located on the second floor of the Aiea Commercial Building across the street from Aiea Bowl. I bought the Groupon for the Faux Mink Eyelashes ($85 for $275 worth). The door was locked when I came 20 minutes early for my 10am appointment, but I just called and Leina let me in. The waiting area is small, but you won't be sitting there long if you're on time. The music and air conditioning creates a comfortable atmosphere. She did an initial consultation and asked what I expect the finish product to look like, if I knew how to take care of them, if I have had used fake lashes before etc. When I see my other estheticians I get the sense that skincare and beauty are their passion, however I did not sense this from Leina. I expected the lashes to be thicker because her website said it would take up to 2 hours for application. It did look natural and I was satisfied. These lashes are easy to manage and it feels/looks so natural. I don't think I would come back here to get refills. I'll stick to applying fake lashes to get the look that I want. The Groupon made it worth trying, but I realize $275 for the Faux Mink and $85 for refills are not worth the price. I was very careful in washing my face with the right product and was gentle around the eye area, but after a week about half my lashes were already gone. They were nice while it lasted because I didn't have to use mascara and it gave me a nice natural look. However, don't get these extensions if you expect them to last more than two weeks. read more

I found this place by a series of unfortunate events. A yelp search for eyelash extensions in the Aiea area gave me two results: Eni's and Salon C. Eni never called me back, but I was able to make an appt with Cindy at Salon C. So there I was, lying comfortably on the table with my eyes taped up, excitedly anticipating my new look when Cindy tells me her eyelash glue has dried up. I wanted to cry! She was nice enough to give me a referral and I was able to get a next day appointment with Leina at Beautiful Soul, located next to Roy Sakuma's studio in Aiea. That appointment went off without a hitch and I walked out with a beautiful set of synthetic lashes ($170 for the set and $50 for fills). She also offers faux mink lash extensions ($275 for the set and $85 for fills) which are more expensive but lighter and longer, I think. The set took about an hour and I fell asleep probably within the first 10 minutes, so the cost covers a nap too! How awesome is that? :) Leina is wonderful and answered all my questions. My lashes came out much thicker and longer, but still very natural looking. I loved her transformation of my lashes! I was told I'll need to go for fills every 3-4 weeks. I sure hope it lasts that long. I've been really careful this week and I'm getting used to the extra care I have to take. But it's so worth it! It has saved me a lot of time getting ready in the morning since I don't have to mess with any eye makeup. I am loving it! She also sells eye makeup remover pads just for eyelash extensions which is perfect because you aren't supposed to use any oil based makeup remover. I've been to different places for lash extensions, so I was thrilled that there was a Groupon for this service. The reviews looked very promising. I purchased a Groupon for Lash Extensions (faux Mink) and called immediately to make my appointment. I left a message and they called me back promptly. I made my appointment and was asked for my Groupon number. I didn't have it with me at the time of the call, so I called back in about 5 minutes to give the number. On to the appointment: As soon as I arrived, there was only 1 lady at the front counter. She asked for my name and asked for my Groupon number. ?!? I thought I gave you this number when I made my appointment? I was then taken to a private room. I'm assuming this was Leina since the Groupon stated she was the only one that does faux mink extensions. There was no introduction, no "Hi! I'm ...." I lay on the table (which was uber comfortable) and closed my eyes. What felt like some sort of first aide tape was placed under my eyes. I'm so used to the cooling pads, that this was something different. The application was relaxing and I actually fell asleep for a bit. When I was done, she removed the tape, which pulled at the skin under my eye -- very painful experience. The lashes looked okay, and I paid the tax (tax isn't included with the Groupon btw). When I got home, I noticed that the lashes hurt a bit, and didn't feel right. I got out my spoolie and noticed immediately that it was getting stuck. I found that some lashes were glued together and some to my eyelid, which explains the pain I was experiencing. This is the worst experience ever, and I paid for these extensions for nothing. Granted, it was was cheaper than what I would have originally paid, but I don't think that should attribute to a bad application. This review is for the groupon used for the Brazilian bikini wax. I'm sorry, I would not come back to this business again for a bikini wax. The table I laid down on for the wax almost fell over when I sat on it (flimsy!!!), now I'm a curvy girl, but not heavy enough so those tables should be flip over when I sit down! The aesthetician left a lot of stray hairs in the area and some hair that was left there intentionally was crooked. The aesthetician also was very jerky in her motions, instead of cleanly and swiftly removing the hard wax. The way she removed the wax hurt a lot after the appointment compared to the many other times I've been waxed. There were also bits of wax still left on the area. The experience was worth far less than the $27 groupon and the tip I gave her for at least waxing my bikini area. read more

This review is super late, but I figure its not too late for a good review! I discovered this place because I work right below them and noticed that they were new. Also they were having a special for $70 or $75 for hair and makeup during prom season. I was trying to get both done, but was only able to get an appointment for makeup. Which was totally fine. So I came here to get my makeup done for my graduation pictures from college (ohh yeah!). I normally could do my own, but since this was for photos, I would def need a professional to do it and I would probably have made myself look like a drag queen if I had done it myself for this occasion. I had Felicia do my makeup and she was awesome! She was very friendly and was really okay with me letting her know if I didnt like something or if I wanted to add a bit here and there. She told me to let her know and she actually was thankful that I did since most just dont say anything til the end. I loved how my makeup was done! I appreciate how she was open to my suggestions and how she was soo detail oriented! She would constantly double check to see if the makeup was even, if it looked good, if it was perfect, and if it was a superb job. I appreciate people who are like that because I am the same way! If I needed to have my makeup done again, I would def come here and see Felicia! I would highly recommend her if you are a person who wants the perfect looking makeup for pictures, special occasion, or just to get dolled up. DO NOT PATRONIZE this establishment. I purchased a Groupon for a faux mink eyelash extension and was excited to use it. I called to make the appointment. I received a text two (2) weeks later to schedule the appointment. I gave Leina the benefit of a doubt, being she was either busy or on vacation. She stated she was busy. This should have triggered a RED FLAG because as a professional conducting business, it is common courtesy to call the clients within 24 hours. Regardless, an appointment was made. At the start of the procedure, Leina did not give me options on the type of curl nor the length of the lashes I would want applied. (Another RED FLAG). I have had eyelash extension before and was amazed that Leina took less than an hour to apply the extensions (RED FLAG). Upon completion, Leina didn't give me an eyelash brush. I questioned her for a brush and she stated I didn't need one. (RED FLAG) After the application, my eyes hurt when I blinked and slept. I noticed the extensions were stiff plastic and not soft. I also noticed that Leina had also applied a single extension to several lashes. The number of my God given natural eyelashes has decreased because she applied one eyelash extension to several natural lashes . I am disappointed and upset. Eyelash extensions have always taken at least two hours for me, and it only took one hour here! They were really professional. She evaluated my lashes and determined what was best based on how I normally did my lashes. They were definitely longer, but I wished I asked to get them a little thicker. The shop is actually a little hard to find. I swear I walked around forever using the app on Yelp and I was so lost. It's in the same section as the El Mariachi restaurant, just on the second floor, all the way to the end. There is no restroom in that store, so you have to ask for a key, walk down to the end of the hallway outside of the shop. I was fairly frustrated with the amount of calls and messages I had to make to get a reservation. I had a Groupon special, so I am not sure if they were super busy with handling the increase of customers. I finally got a hold of someone after a week of making calls. I wanted to get in there before I left island, since I was moving. I had to make an appointment for a month out. Not sure if their front desk is normally manned or not, but I don't think it is. Would I go there again? Yes, she does an excellent job installing the lashes, but I wouldn't make that many attempts to get in there again, I would just try to find another location. I purchased a groupon and got a pretty good deal. Leina is patient and gentle with her lash application. My lashes lasted longer than they did at the last place I went to-about 4 weeks. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because it's extremely difficult to get an appointment. To even speak with someone takes a day or two. Then appointments must be booked weeks in advance. If you have a regular work schedule then this may work out but my schedule changes every week so it makes planning 3 weeks ahead for a lash appointment a little difficult. read more

Worst mistake ever! Even though I read some mixed reviews about this place I decided to buy the Groupon anyways since it my first time experiencing eyelash extensions. It only took about 45 mins max from start to finish and my eyes were burning when she had me open them. I thought that was normal since it was my first time but apparently not according to the other reviews. My eyelashes are super thin, HARD and barely longer than my regular lashes! Not even a week later they started to twist and poke me in my eye and are extremely uncomfortable! I went to another establishment to see if they could help and fix my lashes but they advised me to just let them fall out because THIS PLACE did them wrong and applied the extension to multiple lashes in which would make my original lashes fall off as well! Nobody could even tell that I had lashes on they were super thin! I clearly told her I wanted natural but THICK lashes and that is not what I received. I got the thinest lashes possible. I could have went to some cheap nail shop and got better lashes than that! I had to put on a lot of mascara in order to see them. Beautiful Soul is located on the second floor of a two building complex in Aiea. When driving pass it they have a huge purple poster so keep a lookout for that. Being my sister and my first time for eyelash extensions, Leina was very helpful and quickly evaluated our eyelash and makeup routine to find the best shape for our extensions. I want to say a few things about this place. First of all the owner takes great pride in what she does which is why she takes her time and does a wonderful job. She genuinely cares how you feel about her work. The space is clean, comfortable and affordable. Now what I do want to say to customers is this, these are wonderful lashes and look lovely but if you wear them you will have to care for them. Although the technician was nice, the quality of the work is not good. I bought a Groupon even though the reviews were mixed. Based on that I bought the more expensive one thinking that the quality would be better and I was WRONG. First, there are various cheap feeling plastic extensions (not mink) that are attached to various natural lashes instead of individual lashes, then half of the other lashes are attached in the middle of the lash only so the extension twists and turns and pokes my lid. She only applied about 40 lashes on each eye when most other places will apply 60-70 on each eye. After about four days there were only half of lashes left and these are the ones that are attached to clumps of my natural lashes. I would try a different place if you are buying the 85 coupon as it's a waste of money. read more
