Reviewing as a viewer: hoping to give you skeptics a bit of an insight. I came with a good friend of mine who did her research and found Ly. Because I've done microblading twice, she wanted me to support her and give a second option. Happy to be there; I was looking for someone new as well. This was a great opportunity. Location: inside a hair salon. Ly has her own private room in the back. The process: (see photos) Step 1: measuring the brows to align them both evenly. She has a tool that helps measure the length. Step 2: drawing out the brows connecting the measurements depending on your bone structure. Step 3: the hard part; Correcting the drawing to perfect how you'd like it. She has this app on her phone that lines the brows so you see how accurate it is. It's not completely free-handed. Step 4: She puts numbing cream on your brows. While that sits, she getting the ink color and her station ready. Step 5: cleans off the cream, and gets to working. (See my video for example of how that looks.) Basically repeats and correct minor details to it. I have to say, I'm so amazed and completely impressed by Ly. First, she's very informative, friendly, most importantly, patient. She takes her time on you, so you don't feel has though you're just another client and rushing you out for the next appointment (like my lady). The process takes about 1.5 hrs. She'll explain on how to care for it so it doesn't scab. You'll schedule your second session with her about 6-8 weeks out. She took a look at mine and since I had it done last Oct., it's still pretty dark. She said to wait until it fades out and give her a call after. I appreciated her honesty and not trying to just get another client. But seeing her work, I'm already on board and I'm bringing a crew with me. I found deals for her on both Groupon & Living Social that she was willing to match. .. When I initially called, I had some questions that she very patiently explained to me. .. Her prices are beyond reasonable compared to what other places charge. .. She was quick & efficient. Microblading update: After seven weeks, I went back to Ly for a touch-up. My brows healed up nicely in the last month or so. They have decreased in size (approximately 15%-20%) as well. One eyebrow faded more than the other. However, it's not a big deal because Ly took care of it. I wanted them to appear a bit thicker and fuller. During the touch-up, she outlined my brows then advised that she will fill in the gaps with new pigmentation. Also, Ly took her time and didn't rush it for one second. I enjoy having fuller eyebrows. They're a bit darker than before but she said they will fade out naturally. My friends are crazy about them and I love my eyebrows. read more

The first time I got eyelash extensions, I loved them, but they were so incredibly itchy!!! I kept going back and forth about getting eyelash extensions done again because I didn't know if I wanted to waste money just to be constantly being driven mad by how itchy they were... Ly does such beautiful work. She is such a sweet person and really detailed with her work. I got PMU eyeliner on upper lid and microblading for brows, both of which turned out nicely and suits my face frame. She made sure I was okay with shape before proceeding, discussed with how the process would go, and what results to expect. She was super gentle during the entire process, I even fell asleep during microblading! Ly is a Fabulous, wonderful person I will give her stars for personality, she was very kind in person but whatever glue she uses caused horrible eye redness that lasted almost 9 days. I did get the lashes wet by accident the day after getting them but I had bloodshot eyes for my engagement photos. This is an honest review, I hope to save anyone else from the heartache and disappointment of bloodshot eyes in professional photos. The eyelashes did last really well three weeks but I wish I had been warned to do a spot test first. My make up artist put false eyelashes on me any way so they were unnecessary. Eyelash extensions cause dry eyes I think this is a general issue not an issue with Ly particularly but my eye dryness was much worse with them. In the past I had extensions every two weeks for a year and never got bloodshot eyes from them. I am honestly quite saddened by experience, I can't retake my engagement photos. Clearly eyelash extensions were not the right choice for the engagement photoshoot or any other major event happening less than two weeks away from the time of having the lashes applied. read more

I had a great experience during my microblading appointments with Ly. She's professional, personable and explains each step of the process. My initial appointment took approx 1.5 - 2 hours. Ly starts off by drawing an outline of the brow shape with a measuring tool and after some back and forth (when you're satisfied with the outline), she starts the microblading process. She's very patient with this process and is not pushy, which is great! She also has an app that shows you how even her outline is compared to your face structure, etc. That was really helpful to see and made me feel much more comfortable that my eyebrows would be straight and even. I opted for the first pass without the numbing cream (she mentioned it would last longer) and it was pretty painful, but doable if you have high tolerance for pain. Once she put the numbing cream on, you can still hear the scraping of the microblade on your brows, but can't feel a thing. No pain at all! I say if you don't have high tolerance for pain, go for the numbing cream all the way. After the first couple days, my eyebrows got darker and eventually started to fade to a more natural look. After the 4 weeks, I was ready for my follow-up appointment (lasted about 1.5 hrs). It's been 2 months since my follow-up appointment and I still love my eyebrows and have gotten several compliments on it. Ly is very meticulous, patient and great at what she does!. I have referred several of my family and friends to her and look forward to seeing their results as well. read more

That alone is not good enough, you have to have the eyes to understand how hairline grow. The point of doing this is to get a natural looking hairline. I gasps when I saw my new eyebrows.
