My hair also held up for the entire day (11am-11pm) during an outdoor summer wedding. I highly recommend Oanh if you're looking for a hair stylist for your wedding. Some context: I had pushed off finding a hairstylist until a month before my wedding and was struggling to find someone who wasn't already booked or very pricey until I found Oanh on Yelp. I decided to not do a trial since I was short on time and busy preparing for the wedding. Scheduling an appointment was super easy, I just called and roughly described what hairstyle I wanted. On the morning of my wedding, I arrived at Oanh's home salon and was immediately greeted and seated. Oanh discussed with me what type of hairstyle I envisioned and also made suggestions based on the weather (I wanted a half up do but she suggested a full up do since temperature that day was in the 90s). My hair was done in 2hrs and Oanh also took the time to teach my mom how to make sure my veil stays in place in my hair. She was also very covid conscious and kept her mask on the entire time she was styling my hair. Going into the appointment, I was a bit worried because I didn't do a trial, but I ended up loving how it turned out! Pricing was also very reasonable. As usual, she did a fantastic job with my hair-I had an updo that stayed up the entire time. My bridesmaids all had half up-half down 'dos and they all looked so very pretty for the entire day. My maid of honor and I came early morning-around 6:00a and we came back to my home at about 8:00a-leaving my three bridesmaids behind to get their hair done. We all had to be done by 9:30a and Oanh finished early! She was very reliable and accommodating to our early morning start (Chinese Tea Ceremony was at 10:00a) and I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a no frills, straight-forward hair stylist that will make your wedding planning that much easier. My extensions gave me a headache and irritation on my scalp, mind you I have had extensions (NBR) before and this had never happened. I showed my inspiration photos and had grown my hair out for a year and didn't dye it so I could do this big transformation. After the first 2 days I still had a massive headache and the extensions were hurting on my left side but I didn't say anything because she did tell me if they hurt to put oil so I did. She said it would be normal if they hurt so I thought it's part of the process maybe? I finally washed my hair and dried it about 3 days later and my hair was NOT matching. The cut and the color was blunt and just not working. I told myself I could work with it because I am not a confrontational person at all and I didn't want to hurt the stylists feelings. I decided I needed to get this mess fixed, so I went to a different stylist and she recommended I reach out to the stylist and try to get a partial refund, so I did. You cannot get a refund on this service, yes she did offer to fix the extensions, but it's not just the extensions it's EVERYTHING and once you've had something horrible done, you really don't want that person to ever touch your hair again. I paid $1500 for this service Ultimately I'm just wanting to share my story, I appreciate the stylists optimism in wanting to help me, but I wouldn't drive an hour again to have my hair messed up.
