Scheduled an appointment for a hair cut. When scheduling the receptionist asked the stylist if he was available to take me in. His response was "ugh.." She sounded like she had to convince him to just take me in. No thanks. Rather go to someone else that is happy to cut my hair. Word of advice don't let the customer hear you moaning and groaning about scheduling them in your day. Too bad I lived down the street could've been a great and loyal customer. read more

I called got an appointment with jennifer, arrived at my appointment and didn't wait to long. Jennifer did an excellent job very friendly and had told her what had happened and she said it was poblably when the business was managed by old owners. Hidden Gem - Esthela Actually there is someone that speaks English here. Ask for Esthela, she has been my hairdresser for over 30 years. She is very good with cuts, styling, colors and perms for the modern/younger generation. But, her specialty is hairstyling and coloring for the more elegant or mature woman. She can do up-does that are classics and hard to come by in these times. She is also very good with ideas for weddings, quinceneras, graduations etc. She has been doing hair since 1972 and is still going strong. Esthela has many clients that have been regulars since the 70's. She has taught most of the others in the shop her techniques and is admired by her peers. I think Edith's Salon is very lucky to have her there. Give her a try! read more

This is my first review on yelp=) I don't know why Edith's Beauty Salon is rated 1 star because yesterday I had by far the best experience ever. When it comes to coloring and cutting my hair, I can be very picky. Throughout my life, I went to several hair stylist and I always end up disappointed because there's always something wrong with my hair=( but yesterday it all changed. I was a little skeptical about coming to this salon because of the bad reviews and rating. But when I saw the pictures, I was so amazed how light the platinum blonde was. So I took the risk and went anyways. Before I went to the Salon, I called and asked if anyone knows how to do the ombre hair and they said yes. So I went in, and right away one of the stylist, Issac, approached me and asked if I was the person who called earlier about the ombre hair. That showed me that they had great customer service.. and that's a big PLUS in my book. So I showed him a picture of how I wanted my ombre hair to be like. (brown fading to platinum blonde). He said that he could do it with confidence and I was surprise because most of the hair stylist I went to during the past said that they couldn't get my hair to platinum blonde because my hair was dark. So I was getting very excited before he did anything to my hair haha. Throughout the entire time he was working on my hair, we were talking like there's no tomorrow. I barely met the person, and we were talking like we knew each other for years. I never had any connection with any of my past hair stylist like I did with Issac. So that was a super big PLUS. haha After he finished coloring my hair and styling it, I fell in love with it. He did justice to my hair. He did exactly how I wanted my hair to be and I was very pleased. I felt like the happiest woman on earth. I couldn't stop smiling and looking at my hair haha I would highly recommend Issac. he will not disappoint you=) and it was quick!!!! It took only 3 hrs!! Time flew by so fast!!! read more

I was a little skeptical because they dont speak English and I really was just a walk in but I decided to try them out since the price was so reasonable. Sylvia did my highlights and color and I love love love my hair now. I can't believe what an amazing job she did. I saw a male hair dresser forgot his name. at first I was nervous because he was doing a males hair. Which ladies we all know its easier to do theirs . he was professional and quick and great price. When I walked in I instantly loved it because it was cool vibes and nobody had to tell me who Isaac was I could tell right away he has a great personality that just shines!! First of all, I think that if you are a business owner you should have good customer service skills. I mean, that's if you want to keep customers. I yelped for a good place to get a haircut, and saw this place with really good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I walked in and was not greeted. Then, I asked for a haircut, the lady on the first station just moved her head and pointed to a stylist on her left. So, I walked to her and asked if she could trim only the ends. She washed, cut, and straightened my hair. Usually, when they are done with the haircut they hand you a mirror so you can check if your like your haircut, but this didn't happen. I just don't think I will return to this place. read more

My hair stylist here Isaac is amazing everyone here i can see has a lot of talent. The 3 stylists I have approached all claimed they know how to cut my hair but I walked out after I talked to them for 5 mins. Isaac, however, was different. He listened, understood and worked with what I need. He is a very progressive professional who is not afraid to work on and learn about the style I want.
