The salon is an appropriate size, with ample seating for guests waiting for service. When I came in, I was warmly greeted by Mayuri. She appears to be the only aesthetician working here. She carefully and precisely threaded my eyebrows. No pain whatsoever (and usually I'm tearing up). Due to a recent hair color change, my brows were in need of a slight color change as well. Mayuri patiently and precisely tinted my brows a natural brown color. I've already gotten so many compliments on my brows since stepping out of the salon! Honestly, just because of Mayuri, I'll be a returning customer. Her decade-long experience in threading is evident in my results. This location is much closer than the other one in Polaris, so is perfect for college students and working professionals in the area. My only issue with the salon is that their hours are not very convenient. This location needs to be open on Saturdays, when most college students and working professionals are available. I was skeptical of finding anyone to do my brows as I had been seeing the same lady in NYC for 11+ years and it was devastating saying goodbye to someone who kept my brows perfect! I asked a colleague of mine for recommendations and she said without hesitation to go see Nisha as she's quick and does a good job. Lucky for me while browsing Groupon I found a great deal on eyebrow threading at Nisha's brow bar (50% off). Eyebrows are normally $10 which is not a bad price! I went today after work to an empty salon and was greeted immediately by Nisha. She asked what services I came in for and asked if I was familiar with threading, which of course I was so there wasn't a whole lot of explaining to do. She asked if I wanted to clean up my brows or wanted to reshape them. After a quick chat to set the stage that I just wanted a clean up of my brows and maintaining the shape, she pointed me to a seat and it was time to hope that I came out with two nice, cleaned up, and even eyebrows. Nisha was super quick and while threading can be painful, her technique minimized the pain as much as possible. In a few minutes she was like you're all done and handed me the mirror to take a look. I was pleasantly surprised that my eyebrows were cleaned up just the way I wanted them. They were even and not taken down too thin and were not super rounded in shape. I'm glad she's close to work, as I've definitely found my new go to place for threading needs!

Today we drove over because I didn't feel like walking home in flip flops in the cold. :-) The shop is beautiful and spacious with an upscale feel. There are sections for manicures, and pedicures, and private rooms for facials. We chose the basic pedi, and received the 20% off January special. We received complimentary hot tea after we were seated in the gorgeous and comfortable brown leather armchairs. A novel aspect of this shop are the naturally antibacterial copper foot basins, used in Europe to promote a healthy immune system. Our services were performed by two of the owners, Orasa and Amanda. Our visit here was flawless and we will definitely return for more services. This is a lovely addition to the neighborhood.

I had never realized how close this location is to me, so I was excited thinking that I had found my go-to nail salon. Unfortunately, the experience here was disappointing and I will not be returning. When I walked in, I was asked to check in. After check in, a male staff started the gel removal. There was no introduction with his name or anything. He is a bit older and it seemed like he may not be comfortable speaking in English. What I did not like about my trip is that in the middle of working on my nails, he walked up and another woman continued on my nails. Once again, there was no introduction or any consent asked if I was okay with that. Crazy thing is that, even she did not fully finish the job and the man returned to finish them. I have never had this experience, where the tech changes so many times for a simple removal and there is pin drop silence and no conversation between the customer and tech. On the other hand, there was conversation between the two techs in a different language. The worst part of the trip was how they handled my nails. I was left with nails that are extremely rough on the surface. This is completely new for me and I have never had my nails feel so rough after polish removal.
