I went to Lana because I had an event to go to and she was really convenient because her shop is so close. The first day, my lashes looked absolutely beautiful! I could not believe how good they looked! I asked her how long until I should get a refill and she said "in 2 weeks or 2.5 weeks." I've had lashes before at another place and I usually only do refills at week 4 sometimes even week 5 because they hold so well. By day 6, my lashes were so different from day 1. I admit I went to the gym once during the first week so maybe that didn't help. But I don't want to change my routine just for lashes. They were in so many different directions. I noticed day by day that clumps of lashes would fall off. Also during her application, my eyes were burning and I just felt very uncomfortable. This is so different because I usually fall asleep during my eyelash service at another place. I'm giving her 1 star for service, 1 star for the price, 1 star for the convenience of making an appt. If you need lashes short term (7 days to 10 days) I think Lana's service is good but if you want more long term (3-4 weeks) you have get a refill with Lana right away. She's really sweet though and makes you feel welcome in her shop and I wish her the best of luck. read more

Lana was soooooooo sweet and accommodating. She reminds me of my aunts lol! Her availability was so flexible and she replied so quickly. I was so happy to book with her. The place she does her lashes is super convenient and attached to a beautiful nail salon too so next time I go I will do a full on pamper! The prices are very reasonable, it was $130 for a new set with a 2 week refill and onwards each refill is $50 . (I think) but either way it was a great deal. The lashes hold well and look gorgeous. I think my experience was a one-off, because Lana has great reviews on yelp. Like others have said, Lana is easy to contact and make appointments, and she's a sweet person, but the quality of my lash extension forced me to give a 2 star. Lana explained her technique, how she sometimes stacks lashes together so that they can hold up, which I understood, but my problem was that I had so many lashes stacked on each other instead of being glued to individual lashes, they were falling off like crazy! As well as being glued all together. There was a lot of glue involved... I've had lash extensions done before (you can see my review for Bloom Boutique) but decided to try Lana because she's cheaper and closer to me. With my previous lashes, I can clearly tell that each lash extension was glued to only one of my real lashes. They were also easy to comb, and I bought the oil-free makeup removal to care for them. But when I got the lashes by Lana, I noticed that all the lashes were stacked, and I had so many natural lashes without extensions, and whenever I brushed my lashes, they would fall out in clumps... I had lost about half of my lashes by day 4. As my lashes grew, by the 2nd week it became painful for me to even blink because it felt like my lashes were being pulled in opposite directions since they were all clumped together and couldn't grow straight out naturally. I'm attaching a picture of the clumps of lashes that fell out. I'm not so bothered by multiple extensions on one lash, but more about how some extensions were glued to multiple real lashes. This review is 2 weeks late, but Lana did a full set for me and I LOVED IT! She was actually recommended to me by her sister Kathy, (who I had an appointment with that morning but cancelled but she was sick.) Lana was so nice to squeeze me in that morning at 10am on such a short notice. But you should always make an appointment since she's a popular lady :) The process was very comfortable. I'm not sure if i was also a one off client like Sony listed, but my experience with this set was different than any other time I've gotten extensions. I explained to Lana what i wanted (wispy and long - because i don't have naturally long eyelashes i wanted them to pop), she made me feel like she got what i was saying so we continued to the application.. During the session, i noticed her technique was different than I've ever had before. She would apply the lashes by lifting my eyelid instead of using another tweezer to separate my lashes, this caused some watering and light burning of my eyes because of the glue but i let it go. I don't remember during the session having so many lashes on top of another but as the days went on i realized this is what happened as they started falling off. After she finished my eyes were in pain! I've never had this before. This was partly due to the glue still drying but getting into my eyes at the same time so I had red eyes and watering but again... i was pretty certain it was going to go away so it was no biggie - i didn't go blind so i felt okay. But the other part i think was the way she applied the lashes. When i was blinking, it felt like pins in my eyelids (or if anyone is familiar with falsies: it felt like the end of a falsie hitting the corner of my eye, which is painful and annoying). I again, just figured this was the application or something and that it would subside as the days went on. It didn't, it still hurts and my eyelashes have started to fall off in clumps which really hurts because when they fall off it's like 3 eyelashes on one of my tiny lashes. My lashes weren't in the design i wanted and my eyelids are not loving the way these were applied which is such a bummer because Lana is very sweet and passionate but i think my eyes don't enjoy the multiple stacked lashes. I'll have to find another shop that does them individually between each individual lash and who can execute wispy/longer lashes. read more

I booked an appointment with Lana for volume lashes and initially I loved the way they looked. Three days later I had very few lashes remaining and I noticed they were clustered. She did not isolate each lash before placing the extensions on. She just put them wherever she thought would look good including on my skin! There was a lot of glue and they were horribly uncomfortable once they started coming off. I knew something was fishy when she told me she doesn't do fills she removes them all for a new set.
