Hubs got a groupon for me for botox for christmas. I have done groupons before for botox and lip fillers and was hopeful this would be another great experience. Nope. First: my normal botox amount is 22 - 40 units depending on how long I have gone between sessions (I usually go every 6-8 months, it lasts a long time for me). This time it had been about 10 months. My Groupon was for 50 units. She was gracious in scheduling and was able to accommodate a last min appt before new years. She did the whole 50, said I needed another 20 units for my crows feet but would honor the same rate. Everything went SO fast. I felt rushed and went with her reccomendation and ended up paying for 70 units (almost double my previous MAX). She also squirted the liquid on my forehead between jabs - which was pretty weird. I figured it was an accident until she did it twice. Two things stick out to me in retrospect: she never credited my Alle account, and I never saw her take it from a Botox canister. Again: hindsight being 20/20. A couple days later I came back for lip filler. I liked her pricing so I gave it another shot. I told her my style is Russian Lips. She rushed again. It didnt hurt badly, which was nice. However my results were weird. My mouth was super wide and lips were pushed out instead of fluffy and O shaped. She said they would settle. I was stupid in believing this... after all it was my 5th or 6th time getting filler. I should have known. Overall, I would not go back. I dont think she used Botox (it wore off in maybe 2 months) and my lip filler is almost gone and never looked great to begin with. I hate to leave bad reviews like this but it was such a poor experience. read more

I've visited her 3-4 times in the span of maybe 2 years. Always a quick and efficient procedure. However this last visit, I waited over 30 minutes past the appt time and she took exactly 5 minutes to inject and it felt way too rushed. It seemed as if she was trying to catch back up on her appts because she overbooked the day. No recommendations on what to do versus what else not to do because I'm guessing she thought it wasn't needed. She did manage time to try to upsell me with a brochure of another product I've never heard of. However, this past visit left me speechless. My right eye is drooping after purchasing Botox and she will not even address it as a professional. Meanwhile my right side of my head feels as if someone whacked it, as well as it's achy because this impaired my vision to drive. It's really that bad. When I let her know it was happening, she said it should resolve itself in 1-2 weeks. She also recommended to ask for specific eyedrops from my doctor since "her office does not prescribe it." I contacted my doctor - My doctor will not prescribe this type of eyedrop bc they did not do the procedure. When I brought this back up, via texts and leaving a second voicemail, she ghosts. No answer, no professional response, no credit or offer to come back and fix it. Nothing. Is that even legal? I'm completely indisposed of how and when this will actually resolve itself and searches on Google tell me that over injecting in the forehead - it will cause what happened to me and resolve in 3-4 months. I'm truly shocked at how someone can be this way as a person, much less have an actual license to inject if they abandon the repercussions of it doesn't work out right. She was kind and personable, which I appreciated, but the overall experience lacked professionalism. There was a significant wait time, and I wasn't provided with the entry code to access the building, so I had to rely on another client to let me in. Additionally, the salon suite setup didn't feel very private. The door was kept open while she worked on other clients, with only a sheer curtain separating the space, which made the experience feel exposed. No waiver was given for me to sign. Do NOT trust Arnosha. She messed up my smile by injecting in the wrong location to fix my crows feet. I used to have a beautiful smile and now I look like I had a stroke. She also messed up my forehead and so now its pushing on my eyes and is very uncomfortable - feels like I need a face lift to relieve the pressure. Worst thing is, she never took accountability or apologized! I also had bad bruising!! I've had botox several times before at a Med Spa and never bruised or had any of these conditions. The fact that the service I had was the threading and one side of my face had one of the threads was pushing out and there was puffing and indents all on same one side of my face and it's still like that. I had told her (Dr. Anoushen)I was going on a family trip and then a wedding in two weeks and asked her if it would look ok my then and she said it would be fine . When I contacted her about the fact that the bruising was not going away and that the one side of my face had all these issues she gave me very little advice and I asked to come in before my trip to see if she could do something she had no anwear and than just stopped anwearing my text or phone calls. Alit if her reviews are great untill you get to the ones that had problems and then you see that she does nothing to remedy it and than just ignores there concerns like she did with me. I now have to go to a dermatologist to see if this can be fixed because when I went to get opinion from another like business they said they couldn't do anything to fix it and the person that did it should be the one taking care of the problem. You will great reviews until you read ones where things went bad and Dr Anoursheh did nothing to resolve it. One of the procedures I had was the threading, which turned out to be a nightmare. I told DrAnoursheh that I was going on a trip in two weeks and asked her if it would be ok by then, and she said yes it'll be absolutely fine. The bruising was much worse and I called her ask what I could do and got a vague anwear on what to do. when the swelling started to go down I called and sent pictures, one side of my face had dents and puffing and one of the threads startEd to push out leaving a lump . I asked if I could come in and see if she could do something , she just brushed it off and said it would all be ok eventually. I told her again I needed it to be ok before the two weeks that I was and now it was one week and it still was the same. i called and pleaded is there something she could , she said only a laster would work and she didn't have any in her office. After that she would not answer any text or phone calls I had already gone to two events and was leaving for New York in a week , on returning was going to a formal wedding. I bought special makeup for the bruises, but there was nothing I could do about the fact that side of my face was distorted. If she is truly a doctor she should know better the she should know better, the Medical oath is no harm! I went to a highly recommended place to see if they could do anything to correct it. They said there was nothing they could do about the indentations and that hopefully the threads would dissolve in time. As for the lump where the thread is out my skin, they said that would have to be removed with a needle and it's a large needle. They also said there's a possibility that scar tissue has formed around it. I don't think there's any business that once to take on the liability of fixing somebody work. At this point I think the only thing I can do is go to a dermatologist to see if they can fix it and it will not be covered by insurance because it's considered a cosmetic procedure, the cost of this was $1600. Bad Experience ! ... I saw Dr. Anousheh for lip filler and Botox. I used Allē points for a syringe of lip filler, payed her a fee for administering it (which I was only told about after I got to the appointment) and paid for Botox. I have reached out to her multiple times asking if she can enter the botox treatment in to Allē for me. She later responds that she entered everything on the day of treatment. So I sent her a screenshot of my Alle account showing her that nothing has been entered for botox, that she has only entered for filler. It's something that would take her less than a few minutes to do. I normally would just let it go but I needed the points to maintain my standing with Allē. And I was hoping she would just do it. Even worse I had a bad reaction to the lip filler. I got white patches above my upper lip and now have a permanent red outline on my upper lip. Wish I never visited her. Also just an FYI.... after running your credit card she will ask you to complete the transaction and enter if you would like to leave a tip. It suggests 20%. read more

I recently returned to Dr. Anousheh for another round of Botox injections. She is incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to listen to my concerns and make me feel at ease throughout the entire process. She is also very responsive via text so if you are a text person due to your busy schedule, this is a big plus. While her clinic is on the smaller side, I actually find this to be an advantage. By keeping her space modest, Dr. Anousheh is able to keep overhead costs down and pass those savings directly on to her clients, which makes her services both high-quality and affordable. If you're looking for excellent results at a great price, I highly recommend her! If you found Dr. Anousheh through Groupon as a new patient, I recommend not purchasing the Groupon. Groupon takes 50% of the sale, which is a huge cut. Instead, simply take a screenshot of the Groupon price and mention it to her--she'll happily honor it. I've had Botox about 20 times since I'm 60. I told her not to drop my eyebrows. She said I'll lift your brows and injected directly into them. My eyebrows are atrocious, slanted downwards. My permanent expression is one of looking like I'm going to cry. When I went back to show Anousheh she said wow they look so bad and giggled. I told her to stop giggling and at least give me a refund. She said no and laughed in my face. You get what you pay for!! Don't fall into the same Groupon scam that I did. read more

LEARN FROM MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have never written a yelp review but wish someone would have warned me NOT to work with Anousheh and Beauty by the Bay. Not only is she an inexperienced injector, she has unethical practices. Her bottom line is money not the service and care of her patients. I used Anousheh once for Botox and it was fine. I work at the same hospital her husband does so I trusted her. She recommended Kybella and I decided to save up for this procedure. She double booked my appointment and in the middle of injection, another client and his pregnant wife showed up for treatment. She stopped what she was doing and injected Botox in her client while he was sitting in a chair meant for people waiting for treatment while I was laying in the treatment chair. I am an easy going person so even though this was odd and unprofessional I let this behavior go. Anousheh then proceeded with my Kybella. A few days after treatment I could not move one side of my mouth (please see picture below). I reached out to Anousheh. Not only was she unempathetic, she blamed me for the painful numbness in my face, a lisp that I developed because I could not move one side of my mouth, and stated she warned me not to do Botox in my jowls! I didn't do in Botox in my jowls or in any part of my lower face! (Please see attached text message) A responsible, ethical business owner would immediately brought a patient/ client back in to help resolve the mistakes she made in injecting into the mandibular nerve. You can see her only response was: it will resolve in 2 weeks. Not only is this not taking responsibility- it is INACCURATE! A Mandibular nerve injury is caused by an inexperienced injector and can last 2 weeks to 298 days!!! When I asked Anousheh to respectfully refund me for her mistake I was told you signed the waiver before treatment- you are just sensitive to the product. (Please see attached text message) I now need to pay another dermatologist to help correct Annousheh's mistake so I can try to help myself and not live with this for the next year of my life! I am sharing this information in hopes that you do not put your beauty or more importantly your HEALTH in this woman's hands. READ BEFORE BOOKING!!! I had a really disappointing experience here and just want to share my story to help others avoid the same mistake. Before coming to Beauty the Bay, I had only received injectables at EPI Center Med Spa one of the oldest and most reputable med spas in the country, where all injectors are licensed. Compared to that standard, the injector at Beautify the Bay felt inexperienced. The Botox and filler procedure was noticeably more painful than anything I'd had before, and her technique didn't inspire much confidence. She claimed to use "nerve blockers" instead of topical numbing cream and it was incredibly painful On top of that, the pricing was SO misleading I truly feel scammed. I had been texting with her prior to my appointment and mentioned I was about to purchase a Groupon for both Botox and filler (which were significantly discounted on her page). She told me not to buy the Groupon and said she would honor the Groupon prices directly. Naturally, I assumed I'd be paying those rates about $400 for the filler and $300 for 15 units of Botox. But when it came time to pay, I was shocked to be charged $1,900. She claimed she could only honor the Groupon price for the Botox, which was never mentioned in any of our communication. The whole situation felt scammy and unprofessional. If you're thinking of booking with her and she offers to honor Groupon pricing...don't fall for it. She'll likely charge you full price in the end for work that's just average at best. I deeply regret taking the risk. My mouth was so incredibly bruised when she injected incorrectly and came very close to needing to dissolve... when things went bad she said that I may have leukemia because of the way my face was reacting. This is my first time getting any work done and Dr. Anousheh was great! I've returned to her several times since my first appointment with her in April. Initially, I just wanted some lip filler and botox. I like a very natural look, which I was explicit about and she did not disappoint. I got .7 ml of filler (I told her to stop because I didn't want them too big) and I got 50 units of Botox to treat my brow area, as well as masseters. Since then, I continue to return for Botox. I have also had 2 Kybella treatments with her to treat the submental fat and get rid of my double chin. I feel like I did when I was 22 (10 years ago). My face is much slimmer and contoured and my natural jawline is making an appearance. She's new at this, but she's good. I believe if you want very natural results, you need to communicate this. I'm 54 and am in good shape (see first pic to the left) but have some wrinkles due to age and sun damage. I researched and heard about PDO threading and became interested, then found her on Groupon. Note that most medspas are run by nurses but at Beauty by the Bay, Dr. Anousheh (a certified physician) provides the treatments so you get more quality for your money. She's knowledgeable, kind, and fair and her office is clean and in a beautiful location. After the first treatment (see pic on the right), I already saw an improvement in my wrinkles. Planning on getting two more PDO thread treatments and she already provided me with excellent advice on next steps (and most medspas don't take the time to provide thorough consultation). I've had two appointments with this vendor, and unfortunately, both left me extremely disappointed. My latest visit was particularly concerning. I went in for fillers, but the practitioner insisted on PDO threads instead. A week later, there were absolutely no visible results. To make matters worse, she kept pushing for more Botox, even though I had just gotten it from her two months ago. It felt like every visit was just an opportunity for her to push Botox, regardless of what I actually needed. A significant issue is the misleading advertising. She advertises using Botox, but in reality, she uses Xeomin, which is a different product altogether. I only discovered this after seeing the bottle in her office and reading other reviews on Groupon. This kind of bait-and-switch is unacceptable, especially in a medical setting. The most alarming part of my experience was the lack of proper care during the procedure. When working on my under-eye area, she started without applying any numbing cream. The pain was excruciating, and when I asked her to stop, she brushed it off and suggested I was being fussy. Only after I insisted did she apply numbing cream, but then tried to proceed before it had even taken effect. It felt rushed, careless, and frankly, unprofessional. In my opinion, this vendor is more focused on upselling than on patient care, and the lack of transparency and proper procedure is troubling. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality and trustworthy cosmetic treatments. I would also consider older reviews with a grain of salt which state they have been going to her for years since she is a new practice and got her degree from SoCal, so she wasn't even local then. read more

Worst experience. I would never recommend. Very inexperienced, very unprofessional and FRAUD . Yesterday, I'd went in for my appointment. I was specific on the type of treatment I was coming for. I was also asked which filler I'd prefer, I picked 1 FULL Juvederm Voluma and was told that I was all set with the Groupon price. To start off, when I got there she didn't answer the phone at all. The door was closed shut needing a code so I had to just stand there waiting for someone from inside to be leaving because nobody answered the door either. Finally, I get inside. I walk to her office and it's very unwelcoming . She's sitting at her desk on her phone (she just couldn't answer when I kept calling) I should have honestly just turned around and left . As I'm talking, telling my situation and the treatment I'm looking forward to, and she's very catty, unpleasant energy the entire time. As id mentioned before, I was very specific what I wanted and what I came for. I will attach all the messages as well. As I asked to sit down she continues to try to UPSALE all these products that look like she can't push . My total went from $462 to $350 so I had no complaints until she tried to sale the "Botox" I never came for an additional $500. When I was done, she'd said she'd used A HALF A SYRINGE OF juvederm volbella which I didn't at all ask for. She said if I wanted another half done it would be an additional $350 . Mind u , I only had half done when she's telling me another half is going to cost more. Not what the deal or coupon said at all. When I went in, I went for a full ml for $462 with the discount included. Not only did I sit there for 5 min for nothing , my money is now down the drain . Not to mention, she's gotten flustered because she'd claimed to have "poured up the Botox" and said she couldn't waste it so would I mind just paying half for them . I absolutely declined . When I'd texted her I was not happy and felt cheated being I drove a whole hour and 30 min for a full syringe, she told me "you don't know what you're talking about." I'm now considering legal action being I tried to talk to her in regard to this, maybe half a refund or something and she rudely denied doing anything wrong on her end . I truly don't believe she's supposed to be doing any type of injections . Or she needs WAY MORE PRACTICE the photos prove, she'd tried to make me purchase another HALF for the same price when I'd been given the total of $462 for a full syringe but because she didn't have the right product I was told I had to buy two separate halves making it $700 for one full treatment .
