This is just a review on nail/pedicure services. I was a regular customer at one time here. Their pedicures are pretty costly and last time I went I basically just got my toenails painted. They did not clean up my cuticles or use the pumice stone on calluses. It felt very rushed and not thorough at all. Will not be back. read more

Went with my mom and sister to get a mani/pedi done for my sister's wedding. They gave all 3 of us the wrong color including my sister (the bride) who asked for the same color on her nails and toes and they didn't match. They fixed my moms toes but did not fix the gel they put on wrong. They also used the drill to take off the top layer of our nails which I have never had done for gel before (beyond them scuffing/buffing a little) so pretty sure my natural nail will be ruined upon removal. I recently took my acrylics off to give my nails a break. My nails are so paper thin from having acrylics for 10+ years, that even gel polish can't help me. Bea introduced me to the powder dip and I have never been so impressed. This is a medium between gel and acrylic, but my nails still look natural. Bea is amazing with shape, she uses these little drill tools I have never seen before, and my nails come out perfect. My nails have even started growing at a healthy pace. I get a gel pedicure once a month, another great job here! They matched colors for me. Tubs were clean and they spent extra time on the rough spots on the bottom of my feet, love that! This is a review of only the beauty supply part of this business. I prefer to shop at local, small businesses whenever possible, even if the products cost a little more than the big box stores or online. I recently went to Beauty Connection to buy my hair products, which aren't carried at very many local stores. I know what the normal retail price of these products should be and, as I said before, I wouldn't mind paying a small markup to support a local shop. But all of the products for this brand (and I would assume everything else they sell) were marked up by 25%. And all of the shelves were labeled "buy one, get one 50% off". If you do the math, that means that if you buy 2, you're paying the normal retail price and not getting any kind of discount at all. Needless to say, I was really annoyed by this manipulation to get you to buy more and think you're getting a good deal. I walked out without purchasing anything. read more

I took my 92 year old dad in today for his first ever pedicure. From the moment I walked in the entire staff was great! They were courteous, helpful and kind. The man who did the pedicure was very gentile yet very thorough. The salon was very clean. The prices were very reasonable as well. I would give 10 stars if I could. The owner was exceptional and answered all my questions before I brought him in. He loved every minute he actually almost fell asleep he was so relaxed. We will be coming back very soon. Rude & racist!!! They might as well put a sign on the window that say "sorry we don't serve black people". I live in the neighborhood I thought I try a local beauty shops I've been there 3 times in one week & they never have time to a lip wax that takes less than 5 mins. I thought I was being over exaggerated but friends & family had told me they had the same experience here on different occasions. Thank god there is a salon right across the street & they see green money not dark face lol. FYI if the staff hate there jobs here they should just quit. Your clients can see how miserable you are & that doesn't make it right to be rude to customers regardless of there skin color. First off. Save your money! The price is definitely NOT what you pay for. I have a been a customer for some time and after today I will not go again. Tanya at the front desk is slurry and rude. Made me seem like I'm a burden for not making an appointment. Not to mention it appears her customer service went out the window a long time ago. Speaks rudely to customers, and overall looks as if she hates her job. I love the owner and bea, they are both pleasant and and know what they're doing. The rest of their employees don't. Your nails look like they're 2 weeks grown out when you first get them done. I am not sure Sophia gets the tip I leave with my payment - and the girls working the register at this location don't seem too concerned about it. Love this place! The price and quality are spot on. Perfect pedi and shellac mani for $45! They are very efficient, so if you prefer a lengthy mani/pedi it might not be your favorite. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cleanliness. Tried this place out because I had a gift card and really enjoyed my experience! It was memorial day weekend so the place was pretty busy but, unlike most nail salons, they were still able to seat me at my appointment time. The massage chair for my pedicure was the best chair that I've experienced at a nail salon and the woman who painted my toes was very friendly and quick. She did scrub my feet and legs to the point where it was painful, but not the end of the world. I really like this store and the nail salon located within, Modern Nails. The owner is very knowledgeable and has helped me find some great products that work well on my newly "combination" hair (it used to be oily, now it's oily/dry - getting older is so much fun). She also suggested several products to me when I had a lot of damage from too many chemical processes. Speaking of which, they also carry a good permanent solution, great curl without too much damage. There is usually a buy one, get one for 50% off sale and sometimes there are products on clearance for a great price. Due to my work, I really have to pay attention to my nails now; I have to get acrylics every few weeks because if I don't, my nails will break on the job. My favorite place to go for a gel mani and pedi! Beautiful salon with amazing pedi chairs, and they use hot stones! My gel mani always lasts at least 3 weeks, which says a lot because I am hard on my hands/nails. The staff is sweet and you can almost always get a last minute appointment. They can also accommodate multiple people coming together, I've been with my mom and sister, and with a bridal party of 7 :) They have an ENDLESS amount of nail polish and gel colors to choose from, making it extra hard to choose but glad they have the options! Just walked out. I had an appointment for a pedi with my daughter and niece. They arrived a few minutes before I did but I made it in time for my 5:30 appointment. They had already started on the girls pedi when I arrived so I sat next to them thinking someone would start the water. I sat there for 15 minutes. Nobody acknowledged that I was even there. I expected someone would have at least turned the water on so I could soak my feet while they worked on the girls. Nope! Didn't happen. I was willing to wait until the emptied my nieces water and all of the water from her area came up the drain in my area. That was it. I got up and walked out. My daughter was bummed and apologized but it was not her fault. The customer service is one thing... but the dirty water coming up on my drain was just nasty. Not to mention anti hygienic!!! Never again! I'm sure that was a huge health code violation. I'm only giving a star because I have to or it won't let me post my review or else I would not have given any stars! read more
