Since this place is super close to my place, and after reading the review, thought it was worth the trip. This place is OK. I was not impressed with the technician, She made my eyebrows uneven, and then to even it out, they were too thin in the end. Also the biggest issue i have is that the eyerbrow grew back in 1 1/2 weeks! usually they dont grow back for at least 3 weeks! Anju is the best! She is very popular for her eyebrow threading but I've been coming to her for the past 4 years specifically for her wonderful facial. She's experienced, knowledgable and does such a terrific job cleaning, exfoliating, and nourishing my skin that I've noticed a profound improvement in my complexion. i recently moved to arlington from oklahoma, i haven't ever threaded my eyebrow before. one of my coworker suggested me about this place. I was scared a little in the beginning because it looks so painful. When i finally got mine done. I was really pleased with the result, Anju did a great job, she was helpful, kind and fast. it does sting a little but no where near to waxing. i highly recommend this place, especially Anju. read more

I desperately needed an eyebrow shaping after a disastrous experience at another place in Falls Church about 6 weeks ago. So after lots of research on Yelp I went to this place....another disaster. Reena is very nice and seems knowledgeable (she kept telling me how she not only does threading but she teaches it as well and that I should be very careful because threading is an art like handwriting). But even after all that, she did not shape my eyebrow well, she nicked so much of the skin under my eyebrow that I now have an unsightly line of scabs under my eyebrow. The problem with the shape is that she took off a lot from underneath and kept telling me that I should let the top grow out. But because I have big eyelids to begin with, taking so much off from underneath the eyebrow makes it look horrible. I went home and searched on the internet and found more info from the brow queen, Anastasia, who incidentally uses tweezers and that's what I had been using myself for 20 years!! But threaders tried to persuade me that tweezing is so bad for your hair All in all very disappointed. And to all Yelpers, a word of advice, stay away from threading places. They often have one idea of what your brow should look like and most often that shape doesn't work with your facial structure. I've learned my lesson. read more

I decided to give this place a try, so I went here today for an eyebrow threading. I didn't have an appointment, but they weren't busy, so I was promptly taken back and the threading began. I am from NY and usually get it done for $7, but I understand this is a rarity in Arlington, VA. I requested certain things, and the young woman did the threading perfectly. Beauty Fair has been my beauty shop of choice for years because of pleasant staff, excellent hair styling, gentle, careful eye brow threading, and reasonable prices. Facials are a wonderful treat. I have no complaints but many compliments. Scheduling is always accommodated somehow, parking is easy, and there is a bus stop in front. Decided to give threading a try......just wanted it for the upper lip. In the past I've waxed it and ended up with a couple days of redness because of my sensitive skin and the combo of chemicals/heat from the wax. So I saw the reviews on yelp for Beauty Fair and gave them a call. They got me in right away, the process took a whopping 5 minutes. It definitely hurt more than I expected, but nothing worse than waxing or tweezing! Really it just made my eyes water and felt like I was going to sneeze the whole time.....and I'll take a little eye watering for a quick and simple solution to removing my 'stache :) I had Reena and she was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. It was $10.....I'll definitely go back! Sure it's not the most sophisticated looking salon in Arlington, but who cares......they're nice, quick, and affordable! read more

Amazing! Read reviews on Yelp so decided to stop by. Last place left me with different shaped eyebrows, so was nervous about trying a new place. Had been awhile so my eyebrows were in desperate need of attention. I was helped right away. Reena was great. She listened when I said I was a wimp (years of getting eyebrows waxed; still hurt each time). Threading was so much easier than I thought with hardly any pain at all. Quick and only $10. She brought shape back to my eyebrows. Highly recommend Reena. This is where I will be going from now on. read more

So I wish I could have gave this place a higher rating because I went to them since the last 8 years more so because of the how close they were to my house and they did and exceptional job with haircuts and threading. Every time I would go they would have different prices like somedays it would be either $5 more or $10 more and I would question it and they would just make me feel like I forgot and try to reassure me and say no no and then tell me I am a loyal customer so they would take off $5 then after me addressing it but sometimes when the manager Reina wasn't there then Anju the short girl that works there would say no Im sorry I cant do anything about it. So I have really long hair and I would go every 3-4 months for a cut. The last time I went was April 2015 and the Manager Reina wasn't there. Frankie was giving me a haircut and tells me as he's cutting my hair that one of his friends passed away a few days ago and its really bothering him and as Im getting my haircut Im thinking Oh no I hope this doesn't have an impact on my hair. And Surely it did He cut my hair way too short then tried to reassure me that it looked great and that change was good. And I started tearing up because I didn't feel comfortable at all. I tried to speak to Anju about it and she tells me its fine it looks good and I told her I don't feel comfortable at all and she said there was nothing she could do. And I went home that day everyone asked me what happened (not saying it looked good) and telling me don't worry it will grow back. So now I called them a year later spoke to Reina the manager and told her what happened because now I was looking to get a haircut because my hair was finally the same length but I need a trim and she didn't really seem to care.
