I have been seeing Gia for about 6 years now and would not trust my hair to anyone else, well, except her partner Jess who works in the salon with her. ;) In fact, I drive all the way from Westerville to get to her. Beauty Trends provides expert coloring, styling, hair care and facial waxing for prices well below high end salons and in a casual, friendly, small town feel environment. None of that stuffy, impersonal, client shuffling that you pay $150+ for in those types. My hair has never looked better, and Gia is truly magical with her colors, however, she will tell you, she's not a miracle worker, so you have to be realistic and endure a process if there is drastic color change. Gia met with me and advised how many visits it would take and approximately how much it would cost. She was honest, realistic, and reasonable. It did take several visits over the course of a few months to get the color I desired, but I'm absolutely thrilled with the results and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Not only does she know her stuff, she's also a wonderful person with a great sense of humor who is so much fun to talk to. Her salon is bright and cute with gorgeous flooring and new, comfortable chairs. There's a Keurig with a variety of drinks available, too! Gia goes out of her way to ensure that her customers are comfortable while in the salon and that each customer is happy with their end result. It's no wonder she has so many loyal customers!

You want the table a little warmer/ cooler? Got it. Want to lighten the pressure in certain areas? Sure, no problem! Curious about how 'x' pain connects to 'y' limb? You'll get an accurate, thoughtful response. Lights lower, music softer? She's on it. No stress added that I arrived a couple minutes late. She apparently had time, so she tacked those couple minutes on to the end and I got as many minutes as I actually paid for - that's always super appreciated! It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. My 82 yo mom loves it here, too. There's a plethora of skilled service providers and lots of face, body, general wellness treatments to choose from.
