Katy is great with all length of hair I have had long as well as a short hair style. Katy is very caring and passionate she listens to me and is able to guide me and make suggestions about potential new styles or colors that will match my face shape and skin tone. She talks about the comfort of her clients without offering a drink of water. While watching her daughter scrubbing up wigs and sloppily brushing them out while hanging half of them on the floor. Hmmm. While the bill gets higher and higher with her "upcharges". The worse though, is that you can't even contact her for after-care, such as a wash, or tighten. It's disgraceful that she tells a paying client when you've got them on the telephone that they'll have to hang up and navigate through this maze of a website (which seldom works or shows the needed options, mind you) to make an appt for her precious time when you're right there on the phone talking to her! Has she not heard of an appt book or even google CALENDAR!!? I've left several messages for her, via phone and website and not ONE response. I'm a willing customer, ready to part with cash and this is the irresponsible behavior I get?!! I've seen her facebook page and she offers advice, etc., which I can get on Youtube BTW and I'm sure she'll respond by saying every word I say is not true, but I have nothing to gain from criticizing her horrible work ethic. Just a friendly warning if you value your time and money and don't want to waste it on "up charge" this and "up charge" that, then save it and go elsewhere where true professionals will really give you the service you deserve. At the time I have never really heard of such technique but I was intrigued because she said it was great if you want definitive layers and texture (which I did). I looked them up on Instagram and booked a spot with Marissa immediately. I went two separate times. Once for a cut, the other for balayage two weeks after. Both times I walked away extremely happy and feeling like a new woman. Marissa is extremely knowledgeable and will walk you through her thought process. Never have I felt so reassured to give someone full artistic liberties during my first visit. If you're in the market for a new salon, I would definitely recommend Marissa at Moss Hair Co. Tip: The lot on Main St and 4th Ave has $6 12 hour parking. Plenty of time for you to get your hair colored and not have to run out with foils in to add more money to the meter.
