All the major brands are clearly labeled, and a store associate greets customers at the door with a basket and a brief reminder of any special promotions. Everyone was kind and seemed knowledgeable-as I overheard them interacting with other customers. And the store associate who rang me up was so patient and personable. Parking is free, but this shopping center is busy, so you'll be lucky if you get a space right out front, otherwise, there's plenty of parking spaces within walking distance. Overall, this location is off to a brilliant start! Highly recommend.

There is a generous parking lot shared with neighboring businesses in this shopping area. All employees greeted customers and provided what I felt was an appropriate amount of attention to them and kept the check out line to a minimum. Anyone who has shopped here knows when there is a sale on certain items, the store can be crowded and the line to the center of the store. My cashier was attentive and even notified me that a product I had selected was damaged. She was patient as it was swapped out and wrapped everything up to make sure my purchase remained intact in transit. Shopping in store is cool, but sometimes you're busy and Bath and Body Works offers an option to order online and pick up in store. Delivery is another option but I've found it to be cumbersome and the free shipping codes can't be stacked with other promotion coupons. In store, you can stack offers. Using their app, you can earn rewards and have access to digital coupons. I try not to get a basket when I shop here because I'll leave with so many things that weren't on my original lists of things. Their hand moisturizers and mini hand sanitizers make great stocking stuffers or gifts for that coworker who doesn't wash their hands as often as needed.

I have no need to spend my money at places where I am not treated fairly or where I am perceived as a "person to watch". I am taking off one star because I visited one day... spent about $100 and came back the next day spent about $80, but I was given a savings punch card...so many purchases you get something free or a deal on something. So my brow was raised, why didn't I receive a card the day before!? I could have easily been well on my way to receive the reward. I asked the associate what's up? She suggested I talk to the lady in the wig area, I assume she was the boss. I went over to that area and she was nowhere to be found. Interesting! Honestly, this is my fault as I should've already been boycotting Asian businesses since the Cyrus verdict last month, however, I want to warn other customers. Visit 1: I came in to buy hair dye with my daughter. The older male Asian employee working (appeared to be a manager) never greeted us when we walked in. While we were browsing the hair color aisle, he came up right beside us without saying "excuse me" and began restocking dye around us, grunting as if we were in his way. Visit 2: I returned the next day for braiding hair. Same employee, same lack of greeting, and open dirty looks. When I asked if he was the owner, he replied curtly, "No, I'm the manager," while rolling his eyes. I asked if he greets customers when they come in. He became agitated and yelled, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?" I explained I'd been in the day before and asked again about basic courtesy. He snapped, "It's too early. Don't talk, just buy." I told him I won't be buying anything and dropped the items in hand on the floor. He then told me not to come back (which I wasn't planning on returning anyway). Before I left I let him know that if he cannot treat his customers whom are all black, with respect, professionalism and kindness to get out our neighborhoods. As a Black customer, we often support Asian establishments while feeling disrespected knowing we're treated certain ways because of our race. No one should be treated with this level of hostility in a place of business and the bottom line is that we need to stop supporting them! Since they think so poorly of us, they should take their businesses to other communities and see how well that works out for them!

Located in Capital Heights, at my first appointment, it was kind of hard to spot. Be aware of the parking, as some of the spots are assigned. Upon walking in, use the door on the right to access the nail salon. Appointments are made online, and Tenecia prefers that appointments are made at the half hour only. No problems there. Nice selection of colors to choose from, and the place is clean. I noticed that Tenecia takes the time to clean the bowl in between clients, which I totally dig. Also, she uses new new tools, like emery boards, and buffers for each person. My first appointment was a gel mani (with designs of course) and a pedi. Let me tell you, it was one of thee best pedicures that I have EVER had. She is absolutely excellent at what she does. I loved the gel manicure as well, because she actually does a manicure; you know soaks the hands, trims the cuticles, massage, and the like. She totally takes her time. My nails were shaped beautifully, and they actually grew! Woop! My only issue, is that my mani didn't last as long as I would have expected, but that could totally be me, because I'm super hard on my nails. Oh, another plus is that she totally accommodated me (in between clients) when I chipped my toe...see uber hard on my nails. However, it wasn't crowded, so I think it wouldn't be a problem. Also I wasn't positive as to how to book nail designs, but Tenicia explained with no problem and now I know what to do when scheduling. Even with this, she was still able to accommodate me within my appointment time. I really appreciated that. I read a few reviews about Tenicia's attitude, but I didn't have an issue. She wasn't talkative, but I wasn't really looking for that. She came off as professional and cordial and that was perfectly acceptable in my book. I really enjoyed the service and the work was awesome. The work was fast, but high quality. After reviewing their work on Instagram, we decided to make an appointment here. Originally, my daughter wanted to stick with dip to maintain her natural nail length, but the nail tech explained that the specific design she requested could not be achieved with dip powder. She transitioned to Aprés Gel-X instead, and still made changes from the original inspiration photo to simplify needs and costs after consulting with the nail tech. The final result was absolutely gorgeous and prom-ready! The only surprise was the number of additional fees added throughout the appointment, so she called me a few times to confirm costs before proceeding. I was happy to cover it for such a memorable milestone event. In the end she got one nail with light blue french tip, two nails painted blue and two nails with painted butterfly or flower design on each hand where in her original design it was a different design on each nail. While we will likely continue using our regular salon for routine nails due to the pricing structure here, I would recommend Nail Haven for weddings, prom, and other special occasions depending on your design aspirations.

These nail designs on both hands (4 designs total) cost an extra $50.

I think she said they have been there for a year and a lot of people didn't know about it. Likely because the gym that was there is gone. They are a small business and I think we need to support them so that they can get more products, preferably black owned products.
