Came here on a Saturday morning to get a pedi. It all started ok until she began removing the cuticles, first she cut to deep on my big toe that it started to bleed a bit, pressed on it and continued. Then she suggested to put a salt rub on the bottom of my foot and wrapped with plastic. (Supposedly to make them soft) I started to feel a sting and she noticed and and said nothing. It didn't look that bad until an hour late when I got home and i took a pic. I won't be coming back. read more

I have good things to say and bad. The good is that the guy who did my nails was really nice and I noticed he was being careful to not hurt my skin BUT the shape of the nails was not good at all. They are bumpy and not the shape I asked which was stiletto, one of them feels like is going to break because I think he didn't apply enough acrylic. It was only until I had a chance to take a good look at them that I noticed all the mistakes. Also the girl that applied nail polish to my daughter nails was nice and even added a flower. I went in here because the place by Gonzalez Northgate Market was busy, wow what a mistake! First impression was nice & new inside. Then it was empty we went in got seated into pedicure chair for 20 min before they even started on me & my coworker. We also asked for a full set and fill. Turns out they finished on my friend and forgot about my nails. The guy who did my nails was too rough. Today is 1 day later and I'm noticing all kinds of bumps on my nails they do not look great, same thing for my friend her nails came out all lumpy. TERRIBLE! I came in previously to do a pedicure and I loved it! But this time around not so much. So first I asked for a gel mani (with my nail), and a reg. Peddi. I showed them the picture of the design and shape I wanted. (My nail was long enough accomplish the look to begin with) and they said ok , and to wait for another nail tech to arrive so he can do the design. I said ok, and waited. He came , I explained to him I wanted that design, on my nail as a gel manicure. Just a different color. He goes on to do my nails and he starts putting acrylic fake nail... I was like " I want gel, i don't want fake nail." All he says was "I know. " ....so I let him do his job. His shaping skills was not the best but I was like ok it's not that bad. Other points: -he was very rough -did not take off my cuticle -when I asked for a little shorter on the nail he said "no, it'll just be the same as before i put you the nail" (uh so, that's what I want as a customer, it's not what you want..) -was trying to push the ombré style in another color (something completely different ...... -was just rude and when I voiced my concern he would just say "I know." The design part: He started by painting my nail, and I asked him " your going to do the design right?" He said yes, I know, design at end. I thought maybe he's painting first and will use the acetone to remove the excess and create the design. " similar to a French manicure. So nope. He just painted my whole nail...... ‍ So when i told him again , he realized he messed up... He got really upset and tried to blame it on me, for not explaining. He then used his tool to scrape off the gel paint off , but left some parts , and another lady had to come in and finish the job. She tried her best and she was a lot nicer. Had she not started to tell me that next time I need to be more clear and that they don't do design like this ".... I would've left her a tip. But she went there. My thing is this : If you don't know how to do a design or are not comfortable maybe doing it. JUST SAY THAT FROM THE BEGINNING . And to flip it on the customer- when I I clearly tried multiple times to tell the first nail technician what I wanted and him deciding he was just going to do what he wanted .... that is not ok. I payed $65. I handed them $70 and they come back with my $5 in change and they were upset bc I took my change back and ddnt tip any of them. They were legit arguing with another for the next 15 min while I waited for my toes to dry. Smh. Anyways , I never leave reviews , but I had to with this. Me too r coming back here again. Eh, not as thrilled with this visit. The lady who did my pedicure was great. But the younger guy doing my sister's nails was bare minimum type. He didn't want to cut her toe nails or do her cuticles. Tried to convince her that longer toenails look nice and attractive. She was gently requesting short nails and he kept arguing back and forth until I snapped and told him " that isn't what she wants, cut short, she's paying for your work." Not my favorite way to start the day or interact with staffers. He did her full set and was nothing close to the design she asked for. Too bad Thomas was out. I had to also ask the lady who did my mani to file correctly and clean under nail beds. Because she barely touched them. Once i brought it to her attention she did a really nice job. read more

Very clean and friendly staff. Used to go to the nails salon next to north gate market and stopped going there because they were unsanitary and rude. I noticed that 2 of the lady's that used to work there, moved to this location. Anyways, the prices are reasonable. 14 for a pedicure and 20 for gel manicure. They open there new and sanitary materials in front of you which is a plus!!! They are nice and peaceful and you can actually relax here while getting your services done. I read the reviews and decided to get my mani and pedi. Big mistake. It was a waste of time. The gentleman that was to do my pedicure was in the back putting something in a bottle with his finger. After 25 minutes of waiting, he slowly walks towards me. He starts removing my color and then ask me if it is gel. I said, yes. He walks towards the back and another 5 minutes go by cutting foil paper. He returns and tells me I would have to wait another 5 minutes. I got my purse and told him "no". Walked away. read more
