This store carried an item that I have not been able to find anywhere locally. I have bought it for years from there. The last time I went there (which will be the last time I EVER), no one asked me if I needed any assistance. No greeting, nothing, yet, I got followed around the store by what I assume to be the owner, by the way he was talking to the other employees, who always stayed a few paces within where I was browsing. If I looked in his direction, he pretended to be browsing as well. After 10 minutes of this obnoxious behavior (mind you, there were other customers in the store he didn't bother surveilling), I finally got tired of his obvious profiling and said as much. He stood there with his mouth open as I lectured him about proper customer service and then I promptly left. Do not give them your business. read more

I usually go to Beauty Pro as a last minute resort. When I do purchase items from this store the interaction is the same. Though the staff are friendly they are a bit standoff-ish. They allow you browse about 5 minutes before asking if you need assistance. If you say no they hover over you; watching you from the next aisle or at the end of the aisle your in, while striking up a random conversation w/ the other coworker until you buy something. I assume they must be victims a few snatch-&-grabs for such behavior to their customers. This store provides all the essential synthetic hair types, hair products, & accessories. However most of the products are over priced. It is rare to find a good bargain in this store. read more

This is the worst beauty supply store. I go there out of convenience as I work at Ross. I can't go in there without being watch/followed(I'm black). The owner stares you down and is rude af. I went in there the other day and bought something, the girl rang it up wrong and he was standing right next to her the whole time. She rang it up as $1.29 and he was like "it's $1.39" and I'm like bro... you walked over there to check the price over a dime ??? Relax. Their selection isn't even good. I only go here when i need to pick something up quick. What I don't like is the owner who follows you around the store like your going to steal something. It is very annoying. I was looking at hair and he literally took it out my hand to put it back. I recently went there and saw he made posters of girls that were stealing from his store. One of the managers was incredibly disrespectful and dismissive when I asked for assistance and essentially told me to find the item I was looking for on my own. After seeing my struggling, she came over to "help" me find the item. I specifically asked for color 8 hair, and the manager pointed towards two packs of 33 hair. I didn't realize this until after having purchased the items that the hair wasn't in the color I needed. Poor customer service and the staff is not at all knowledgeable. read more

I call this type of beauty supply store in-out because it's small and has a small inventory of product. As compared to the HUGE beauty supply stores open now this one is forgettable but cute. One day I pay this location a visit to pick up hair conditioner and noticed 2 women walking around the small establishment starring at me. I'm use to it so I ignore them browse, pick up what I wanted and approach the cashier. The cashier young girl from the islands/Africa was kinda professional rude, she didn't say anything rude but her body language and presentation was rude. She was not pleasant she proceeded to scan my items in a rough manner (not sure if this is a culture thing but who knows). The women who work there are fine, but the men there have followed me around and try to "nonchalantly" look like shoppers, while being so close to me I felt my personal space invaded. The men are rude and make customers (specifically those of a darker hue) feel like criminals. I am a middle aged black woman and the only woman of color in the store at the time. Even though they did not have what I was looking for (they used to sell henna/placenta shampoo), they have a decent selection, but terribly overpriced for hair products. I've been coming here irregularly for about a decade and never had any problem until this week. Hair accessories, nail polish, etc are reasonable. The two assistants made me feel like a criminal as they watched me browse as if I was going to steal something. They hardly understand English. I proceeded to see if I saw something I may want just because I see it (I usually pick up nail polish) but I was so uncomfortable. I will not return. Ever. That is not a welcoming or a good feeling. At first, the store manager/ owner seems very rude. The first time I went there I thought I was being profiled because the manager followed me around the store... Not sure if it was for fear that I would steal something? (Not sure the reason). The store may possibly have been subject to thefts but that is nevertheless not an excuse for the manager to be overbearing. After going back a second time I realized that he just may be overly meticulous and controlling for fear of not doings enough business. Nevertheless the store employees are great. The owner is rude and does not understand customer service. When attempting to return an item, despite having a receipt, he claimed that I couldn't return anything past 7 days. However there was a sign next to the cashier stating that items had to be returned within 14 days. Then he questioned whether or not I actually bought the products in the store. This back and forth went on for 10 mins until he reluctantly allowed me to do an exchange. He does not deserve the business from black customers if he's going to continue to treat us like a bunch of criminals. read more

I stopped here by chance, and will NOT be a return customer. The owner is incredibly rude; he spends the day crunching numbers behind the counter and shouting curt comments to his employees and customers. After I attempted to exchange an item (with a receipt, two days after I purchased it) that I was unhappy with, he refused to do so and told me it was against store policy. Our conversation escalated from there, where he got angry with me that I thought his return policy was extreme and not conducive to good customer service. He offers only store credit, and does not accept returns on "chemical" items, which is technically everything in the store. ANY other cosmetic/beauty store I've done business with accepts used items that customers find unsatisfactory, no questions asked. I go to this store when I can't find what I need at my local store. My latest experience was that as soon I as entered the store, a salesperson started following me she was on another aisle watching me and when I stopped to look at something she did too. This is the worse place to shop I will just take my money to another place or start shopping online. I do not recommend to shop here go to another place where you are not being followed and where the owner is nice, this one here was not nice at all.
